Motorola V710

For what its worth, I just spoke to Jim in VZW Telesales, and was told that I would have to hold out alittle bit longer as the phone is not going to be released till early August.

The good thing was he knew exactly what phone I was talking about (which didn't happen with some of the other reps).

For some time I have tried to do a search on VZW's website for "V710" It has always said nothing found. As of a couple of days ago it finds 3 entries all under "Phones" Unfort, you need to enter your zip code so in my region and a few others I randomly entered it came up with nothing but clearly they have added the phone to the database.

It seems obvious to me that the only logical explanation for the delay is that there is a problem with this phone. Why else whould Motorola go beyond their announced release date and discontinue the V60 in anticipation of the release. Do we really want a phone with problems. I can live without bluethooth. The people at Verizon I have spoke to know less about the release date than we do! I suggest anyone waiting to upgrade their phone buy a different one and take advantage of Verizon's 15 day return policy if the V710 comes out in the next 2 weeks. If we wait any longer the LG 8000 will be out. We have been jerked around long enough, REBELL !!!!!!

I don't know how much validity there is to this but there is an auction on ebay with the actual esn number shown on the sticker. They seller claims it will be out in august.

Well at least we have the rest of the month to count on LOLOLOL HAHAHAH what a waste of waiting.

Anybody know what the price of this phone will be when it comes out???? Anything better on the horizon??? Renewing my contract w/Verizon in Dec. Should I wait until then or get the V710 when it comes out??? Maybe at this rate that will be when this phone does come out!!!!

the only thing i need in a phone at this point is bluetooth, with all this bs about the v710 going back and forth i think i've decided to finally get off of this train and head to att/cingular...so i've given up on this stupid wait, good luck to the rest of you

Just wanted to waste somebodys time for all the hours I have wasted here. I think I am going to sell my Bluetooth PDA on E-bay, and just stick with a basic simple flip phone like the 4500 or a650.
