Heard today on AM radio in Chicago. LG phones bought from Verizon between 01 to 03 are defective. The batteries can get really hot and actually start on fire. No joke. I am not trying to spread any rumors. Take it as you will. Just thought I should inform everyone.

if the external screen "cant" be changed then how come the screen on the hofo forums is totally different image than eckos??????

Yo Peeps listen to what i got ta say. This phone looks cool but i got other things in mind like where i could find an electric vibrating toilet seat 😉 so holla back!!!

Lets start to track some accountability, everyone that has posted that the v710 will be out before 7/6 or on that date. State It NOW. I will for at least one time a day post everyones mistake. Your name and date of mistake will show up every day for no less than 1 year. This will take great effort by my part, but will be worth it, to eliminate liars.

I will not be making any comparisons as to which phone is better because I don't have the time to study each phone like that and seeing as how i've only had the vx7000 for 2 days it wouldn't be fair to make any assumptions like that. If you have any phone specific questions then i'd be willing to answer those but i'm not going to answer the "which is better, v710 or vx7000?" questions as those are too broad and I don't know what you look for in a phone and simply because I like a phone doesn'...

i know the v710 will come out in a week or two or something... but i am kinda disapointed that with all the great things that the v710 comes with, the 2 most important features to me dont have 100% functionality. My only use for the bluetooth is to transfer files off of the phone, since i dont like using headsets. Also, the mp3 player seems is essentially a mono output, given that the headset output is mono only. The outside screen can't be personalized as well... I think all of the backgrounds that i have seen for it so far are ugly and would prefer to have it black with text if i couldn't have a custom pic. It also seemed like there was some issue with not being able to use your own mp3z for ringtones.

I was out grocery shopping today, and noticed a VZW store in the plaza... so off I went, to ask the usual questions about the v710.

The manager there said that it would be another 3 months before we saw the v710.

I've decided these people are clueless - perhaps not at their own fault. But someone in VZW should get a swift spanking.

Is someone from phonescoop monitoring this board? If so sure wish they would update the info for the phone to reflect the voice memo capability.

Does any1 have any info on the V710's MP3 and ringer things...? Can you set MP3's as ringers? Also...for the Camcorder thing...Is it true that you can only send the videos that you store to the phone's memory not the transflah? Thanx 😁

Hello Moto fans. =)I've been reading this forum for quite a while now. What i don't understand is why people choose to ask questions about the lg 7000 phone. Those who post questions on this particulare phone, have you forgotten that this forum is specifically about motorola v710???? I enjoy reading here, but it's been about questions in regards to lg 7000. I don't mean to sound rude, but all i'm interested to hear about is v710 and so forth. Comparisons between this phone and others are ok, but when i see threads as "lg this, lg that", it becomes very annoying, at least to me. I don't mean to offend anyone but questions in regards to Lg phones should be directed in that forum not this one. Just my two cents.

Ok, so I have been reading this forum for the past several months as I'm waiting on the V710 like most of you. I have refrained from going to any Verizon stores or calling them or Motorola as it seems everyone has been given different answers.

Today I went into a Corporate Verizon store to look at the VX7000 and I asked one of the sales reps what he thought about a release date on the 710 and he said it'll be next week. He said "Wednesday we should have them..." I asked how certain he was with that and he said he was "very certain". He said one of their people there had one but wasn't working as I wanted to finally see one in person. Long time reader, first time poster...

Regarding all of the July 1 release date rumors. Anyone notice that on the main Verizon Wireless page, the Buy One, get One Free deal expires June 30. Looks like they're trying to make room and push out old stock.

Hopefully this is a good sign.

the vx7000 will be released this coming monday in all other markets that have not received it yet which is quite a few and the v710 is said to be available july 10th for all of you who are interested

I was just wondering if you wanted to take a picture of yourself and someone else, while holding the phone so the camera and outside screen is facing you, does the outside screen on the 710 also display the picture your about to take or will the inside screen only show that? Just wondering cause if you wanted to take a pic like that, I guess it would be hard not seeing what your about to take a pic of.

I have a Toshiba Tablet PC with bluetooth built into it. What can I do with this computer and the v710? Will I be able to use the v710 as a wireless modem like a PDA would? Sync Outlook data? etc.?

If you all have not heard yet, the Lg-vx7000 has been delayed until 07/01/04. Hopefully we have a double launch (7000/v710)
