I have an idea...

I'm sure plenty of you guys have thought of this but I just figured I'd post it...What about Mobile Phone Tools 3.0...perhaps the reason why test have not had success is because the V710 is not compatible with Phone Tools 2.0 but with Phone Tools 3.0...Maybe because of the V710's advanced technology, videos and everything, it requires a more advanced piece of software... 😕

check it out...the description seems to features seem to fit the V710

v710 isnt worth changing carriers

the v710 is great and everything but its not worth me changing carriers over, im almost done with one year (1 of 2) with my contract with cingular, and ive decided to buy a motorola v80 retail to replace my v400 anyway. gsm is the future of mobile technology and this fone is going to delivered to the customer with everything blocked so that verizon can squeeze a couple more pennies out of you.

obex blocked and just about every other feature besides a headset that bluetooth is good for. it will be a while before something is made to solve that (an OEM flex or something) and i would rather just wait until something like this is available in a gsm version. its going to happen sooner or later and the v80 is a beautiful looking fone anyway 😁...

A couple of V710 questions...

I'm sorry if some of these questions have been asked and answered before and please don't shove a red hot pole up my ass for asking them 🤭 ...anway...I was wondering if...

1. Is there a way to connect your V710 to the PC in order to transfer stuff...I heard about limited bluetooth and charges for e-mailing things...Is there some sort of cable?

2. Does the size of the Transflash card affects the possible movie length...however if you want to send a movie or pic you need to store it onto the phone's internal memory...and those movies need to be 15 secs...But when you store it to the main memory I hear only 50% of the memory is left?! The phone can only hold 2 15 sec movies? And what is this about full length movies on the V710.....

710's Phonebook - any changes from the v600

Hey, does anyone know if Motorola has updated their ($#@$-ed up) phonebook for this phone?

I had the v600 for a couple of weeks. The phonebook is a disaster! It's hard to describe; if you have 4 contacts for an individual, then their name shows up 4 times in the book. You get a few folks in your book, and suddenly it takes like 30 clicks to get to your buddy's office phone number!

Anyway, I know Motorola has to know this 'feature' stinks like hot garbage. Does anyone know if they've fixed this on the v710?

later,

What is the battery life on the V710? I know it is rated at like 180 mins. of talk and 6.3 days of standby. Are those close or not? Thank you .....

Shipments sent to stores...

...on the way and time to play. July 6th looks like the day authorized as of 930am this morning.

Be courteous to VZ employes and CS. This phone is going to be in less than abundant supply(some stores getting less than 10 initially) so if they are sold out quickly with a significant backorder don't complain to the employees or give them a hard time. It's not their fault. By August there will be plenty to be had. Be patient. Transflash available in the VZ stores by end of July.

For what it's worth...

I drove by my local VZW store this morning, before they opened. The displays that they had had in the front windows for the last month or so are now gone (one was for the vx6000, the other was picture messaging).

I didn't stop to peer in the window or anything, but it looked like new displays were there, but had been covered.

I know this doesn't really mean much of anything, but since all we can do is speculate based on random signs... I'll just hope this is another good sign.

date and price... what a joke

Isn't there some joke about a group of people who told the same jokes/stories so many times that they just switched to a numbered code to save time....

v710 Price

Does anyone have any inteligent guesses on what the price may be? I would think, given that this phone is Bluetooth enabled with all the bells and whistles this phone has, I would think it would be a $400 phone.

Now whether Verizon comes out with some packaged deal or some sale for when it first comes out...who knows, but what do you guys think this phone may cost??

SELLING MY v710 and 2 BT Headsets!!

I've come to the conclusion that i'll be selling my v710 along with the Motorola HS810 and Motorola HS820 Bluetooth headsets. I've really just been using the LG VX7000 so much. There is no need for me to have both of these phones. I'm going to college so I really don't have a use for things like this but who knows. For those that care, you'll be able to find my v710 and the 2 BT headsets for sale on eBay sometime later tonight. I'll be doing either the 7 or 10 day auction for it. Also just for kicks i'll be throwing in the data cable and s/w as well.

Spite!

I'm getting the Samsung SCH-A670 tomorrow and return it after 14 days just out of spite! 😡

That's what Verizon gets for making me wait so long for this phone! It'll be fun having it for a few days and hopefully it'll keep me entertained until the Motorola V70 comes out, hopefully on the 1st or 6th 🙄

V710 Button Response

To anyone who already has the v710:

I have had a t720 for the past two years now, and whenever I press a button where it's to get to the phonebook or scroll down a list, there is always a pretty long delay after i press the button to when the action actually happens. Is the v710 like this at all??? Hopefully not...

Voice Recorder???

Hey ecko do you know if the v710 has voice memo or anything that records your voice? I have a nokia 3650 now and it is cool cause i can record myself and then play it back during a phone call. Does anyone know if the v710 will be able to do this voice memo feature????
