Just a few thoughts:

First off, if Ecko has several v710's for sale, then by all means, he should sell them. Certainly, he's not forcing anybody to buy them, right? And as cool as the v710 is, it's not a necessity, so nobody HAS to pay $1000 for it. I mean, after all, IT IS JUST A PHONE PEOPLE! It's too bad these bidders couldn't do something a little more noble with that kind of money (especially considering its a 500% markup)... On the other hand, let's make one thing clear. Ecko is in this for himself, and nobody else. "Helping people"? Yeah right. Try volunteering, buddy. Or maybe start by being a little more mature in dealing with your pal Ray (or whatever his name was)...

Wow, the tone has certainly changed in this forum. The phone is set to release on July 6, 2004. Attempts are being made to make this phone available earlier, perhaps July 2, but don't count on it, at least in all markets.

As for others who have posted release dates that are later, consider where these dates are coming from. Ecko, you have been an excellent source of information for those in this forum. However, in this case I find your approach unethical. There is certainly much more for you to gain by promoting a late release date. Since your auction is set to end after the phone is released there would be no demand for it on ebay. I'm in agreement with the person (sorry I forget who said it) who said there is no way Moto would take out a color add in the WSJ if this phone was more then 10 days from being released. There is already enough buzz about the product. They don't need more people asking about it. Anybody who knows anything about advertising knows that this add would be a total waste of money if we were a month out from the release date. I hope the date is July 6 at the latest and that everybody who has been cool in this forum gets one. As for the negative Nelles out there, I hope you trip up the stairs as you run out of your parent’s basement when you realize your VZW retailer has the V710 in stock.

For those of you who really want to know when new phones will be available from Verizon go to there web site and enter 99999 as a zip code.
Verizon lists the new releases without a picture app. a week before availability in stores. Check out LG 7000 in stores tomorrow.

Before the eBay auction ends I would like to allow everyone here the opportunity to email me their offer if they would like the v710 and all the accessories i'm throwing in with it.

Also for everyone who believes the phone is coming out on July 1st or July 6th, I hate to be a downer so......i'm not going to be but I ask that you think realistically.

I'm not exactly sure what to make of this but wouldn't the V710 be on the phoe page with the zip code of 99999? I mean the VX7k is and that is supposedly coming out the 1st of July...but the V710 is supposed to come out the 1st or 6th of July and it isn't on that page...is that a bad sign? Finally...I'm not a Verizon employee and I don't know about the infomanager thing but is the VX7k on there? Or has it not been updated or something?...I dunno...I really want this phone and I hope it comes out as most of us predicted... 😕

Does anybody have any idea of what pricing will look like for the V710??

I have been reading the posts here, and just signed up to join in on the Phone Frenzy. I called a Verizon Rep yesterday and he confirmed what I have been seeing here, that there system is updated every 2 weeks, and nothing yet.......

But Price, would be nice. If anyone has the inside scoop on pricing, please let us know. 😳

I started reading these forums a few weeks ago to see if there was any information about the Motorola V710. I've been eagerly anticipating this phone and I wanted to get as much info as possible on it. Over this past week I was thrilled to be seeing more posts about possible release dates, so I figured its time to do some investigating of my own.

Over the past few days, I've visited numerous Verizon Wireless stores, as well as Verizon Wireless authorized retailers in MD, DC and VA. I've asked several members of each sales staff if they have any information about the phone, its release, pricing, or basically anything.

I asked him about it, and he got all excited and told me last thursday he got to play with one. He said-

1) They told him you can have up to an 80 min length video with sound. If you have a big enough memory card, the phone will do it. He said the one that was shown to him had a 3 minute video. I told him I heard that wasn't true and he said no, if you get the memory cards it will hold long videos, they told him up to 80mins (w/ sound) if you get the biggest memory card.

2) I asked if it was unusually big, he said it wasn't any bigger than any of the other feature laden phones that are on the market now.

3) The WAP 2.0 is awesome, "Just like using a computer". And a lot faster than the phone internet he was used to.

all these thieves in Spain, romania and other 3rd world countries who will sell the 710 for 350: Lets email them that we have 10 710s and we'll sell to them for 250. Western Union only!!!!!!

I just spoke to a Motorola Representative and she said that the phone will definitely be out by the end of June or beginning of July. July 6 seems like a pretty good bet to me.

Hello everyone..

I'm beginning to believe that no one has any clue regarding the V710 in any of the verizon stores around my area. (Sadly enough) I've visited about 4 different VZW stores in my area (hoping none of them notice me drooling at the mouth..) asking about our beloved phone. I've not only asked if they've received any shipments recently (which were responded with a "You're a freak of nature" look and a monotone "No") but I've asked if they even know what I'm speaking of. Only 1 person had a sense of what I was talking about but no information. Its getting so annoying, when will the phone be coming out, my T720 is about to die, it actually stays open when I close it, does anyone have any serious information when exactly it will be coming out, i already heard about the other dates (July 1st or July 6th)
