Motorola V710

I can't wait any longer for the 710 so I'm picking up the vx7000 on either the 25th or the 1st (who knows). I am debating whether to buy it on the 1 or 2 year plan. I've had Verizon service forever and I know that you can upgrade 1 year into a 2 year contract if you sign up for a $50 and up contract for another 2 years. So really it would make no sense for me to do the 1 year then correct??

I use voice recording alot on my V60.
I didn't see it on the V710 profile, I was hoping it was a mistake.

Can you confirm?

Also, Im selling my LG6000 on ebay later. Its refurbished (just picked it up as exc)w all the accesories. My ebay rating BTW is 100% (thousands pos and 0 neg),but Ill see what happens here before I list it there for about 160-180 or so.

Does anyone know anything about when the 810 will be released?

I was going through some old stuff and came across my ol' trusty 7868W which hasn't been used in two years (currently using a 270c w/built-in speakerphone and nice display).

to learn of the 7868's dimensions and compared those number to the size of the v710 as mentioned here, and learned the v710 should be slightly taller, slightly thinner, and slightly deeper than my 7868. I do not consider my 7868 to be small, but folded, it really helps protect the keypad and screen.

If the v710's speakerphone and camera are good, I'll strongly consider it. Otherwise, I may opt to revert back to my 7868 and get the optional clip-on speakerphone.

I have been waiting for this phone since last summer. I believe that motorola has some issues to work out. I recently upgraded my phone from the v60i to the new Samsung a 670. Honestly if you guys are looking for a new phone give this one a try on a one year contrct. By the time you are eligible to upgrade again in about ten months the v710 will finally be out. I have just heard that the v710 may be going back to motorola to have the t flash memory slot removed. That is one or the reasons the phone is well waited for. Also they may be removing the video camera feature as well, to make it just a really good digital camera 🤣 🙂 🙂

Sent today... "Phase 4 completed identifying three changes that will require new SW. SW was given to Verizon this AM to review and test. (camera, MMS)" The schedule show's shipments to vzw to start June 25-30.... this could all change depending on vzw response to last sw build.

THE V710 will not be out until August at best..

That is 100% from Verizon Internal..

It is still in friendly testing..

The LG 7000 and probably the Audiovox 9900 will beat it out...

I am a new poster on this forum though I have been reading it for weeks for info on the V710. I have found some of the info quite useful and some of it laughable, depending on the source. My question is this: Why do some of you (who have good things to say!) post under different logins all the time? It seems as though ecko04, phonephreak, are the same person! There are others too and its very indictive by your writing style. I am not saying anything is wrong with this - I just want to know - what do you have to hide and why are you taking this so seriously?

At RS, we just got some slips in about Video messaging (picturing the LG 7000). To help clarify previous questions, Picture AND Video mail will be bundled together til 9/15 under two different promo paks. After 9/15 it becomes seperate (.50/send, .25/recieve for video). No info yet on how much it will be then.

do you get charged for going online wit the phone?? i know u can download aim and sh*t like that and u only get charged for sending and receiving msgs but can you connect to the internet for free??

This is my first question. I have to ask about the menu/contacts on the 710. I couldn't find any current information.

I am in sales and would like to transfer 500 contacts from Outlook to the 710. Will I be able to transfer multiple numbers and emails per name?

Will each number count as 1 out of 500 or will each contact count as 1 out of 500?

Does the contact list show each number per contact or just the contact?

I've got a Dell Axim X30 624 MHZ Bluetooth and Wi-Fi..what exactly can the V710 do in terms with "speaking" to each other?

Im hoping for possible wireless internet access from the V710..but whatever it may be im just hoping it has something..this is one of the main reasons i was 99.9% set on this phone but if it's not..it's still a very capable, high-techish phone.

Another question..are there CDMA phones available in Japan anywhere..im going on a school trip (im 16) with my high school to Japan for a whole month, expenses paid, except souviniers of course (2500 dollars, hot deal) but i was wondering if they sell those ty...

I was reading the june issue of men's health Magazine and they had a article in it called the real deal. Basically they where comparing 2 cars, 2 phones, 2 watchs, and 2 Turntables to see if "Expensive is btter", IN this Article, strangly enough they where comparing the V710 to this really really expensive cell phone (thats not under any type of service we know of) called a Vertu Ascent (www.vertu.com) Well anyways under the phones they had the price of each and it says the V710 is $200 . Know this could be a estimate, but what if that was the actual price wit a rebate, i'm not sayin this is the price i'm jus lettin ya'll know what i saw in the magazine. the 790 n 670 is out for those that need those, the 7000 is 3 days away.The 710 is 10-15 days away. The 810 is coming next week to a vendor here. I can smell it all already!!!!

Hey guess whats up I have a question. I have a corporate account with Verizon wireless that account is with Fedex Express. I wanted to know do you think this phone will be sold at a discounted price for corporate account holders? My intranet at work says that we get 25% off all phones with Verizon. But for some reason this phone could be an exception.

Oh yeah for those people that say Verizon Wireless sucks. Cancel your account and go else where than we will see who sucks. LOL

I know that you said you used a datacable for the transfers... But was it just as simple as using phone tools? or a file explorer interface? Did you have to modify anything to get that to work? thanks
