PIM Functionality

My two year contract with my Motorola v120 is up, and it's battery is starting to go I think, so I'll be replacing it soon. Now since I have a laptop with me all the time, I really don't use my iPaq that much anymore. I just use it for keeping my calendar and contact information. Does the v710 or v810 allow you to store more than just phone numbers for your contacts such as addresses or emails?

L@@K! More v710 PIX!!

I've posted more pix at http://www.phonephreakz.com/curt/v710

I tried to be a little more professional and do a better job this time, let me know how they are.

I took some pix comparing the v710 to the size of the a670 and v60p. I tried to take some from every angle. I took some better pix of the external screen as well. I have a pic of them side by side and everything so check it out for yourself. Go to the 6-21-04 folder and they're in there.

ecko thanks

Thanks ecko for everything you have done the past 2 days. You have went way out of your way to help everyone on here posting pics video the works to even selling some of the phones.

For me you are helping in making my decision for what phone I want. I can not wait for you to review the LG 7000. Looks to me both phones will be winners people will just have to decide on what they want.

people on here should be grateful to get a inside scoop ecko did not have to do anything instead he has been on here answering everyones questions.

THANKS

$700 for V710?

I don't know why anyone would pay that much for the phone now especially since it's release is right around the corner for less than half that price.

NO MORE GMAIL INVITES!!

I sent out 5 gmail invites, more than I had planned on sending so I don't have anymore. If you're smart once you get your invites create yourself 2 accounts so you'll get more invites. Well enjoy gmail!

Questions for echo

Hey

first off, thanks for all the pictures and information you let us in on. we are all excited about getting this damn phone! 😉

some questions:

size - according to your pictures, the size doesnt really seem to be that bad at all...especially next to the tiny v60. it looks a hair bigger than the t720, is that accurate?

battery - how bad is it? Ive heard it wasnt good at all. I have to charge my t720 everyday or else it goes dead, and I dont even use it that much...maybe 10-30 minutes a day. how often do you have to charge it? are their going to be extended batteries available for it?

overall performance - how would you say you feel about it overall. between the quality of the speakerphone, camera, video camera, s...

And now a word on Transflash

I don't remember seeing this posted, but here's an interesting link:

http://www.sandisk.com/pdf/oem/TransFlash_Brochure.pdf »

This is the brochure Sandisk is using to try and convince manufacturers to use this new storage format. It has some of the specs on the last page.

I think it's interesting that the brochure says that memory sizes larger than 128 Mb will be coming (although that was probably predictable...).

Clutter

As we wind down to the release date of the v710, we get an abundance of posts. Please try to keep the posting to a minimum. Look at past threads to see if your question has already been answered. If you have very specific questions for someone who already owns the phone, try to email it to them instead. If you think it would benifit other posters or if other people have questions about it then certainly post it. I'm just saying, that when I leave the computer for two hours and come back there are 20 new posts.
