Motorola V710

first off, thanks for answering most of my questions.The vibrate issue bothers me cause thats the only way I ever have my phone set.There has to b a way to make it stronger??Also the pics you posted I thought were so-so. Not bad but certainly not the 1.3megapixel that its supposed to be. Now I understand about the pics posted last week on hofo when the tester said camera is so-so. Finally, the screen u say is nice but is it plasma-ish? Thanks again.

the 7000 is not a pretty phone. Its decently awkward i thought. To compare to large(er) phones, i think the 710 is a much smoother, more streamlined design. The 7000 was bulky, with a plastic feel. I think the keypad on the 710 is ten times cooler as well. As comparable as the features are, I don't see a good reason why one wouldn't go for a 710 (well besides the fact we have no idea when we'll be able to go for one...)

How is the quality of the external screen? I mean by when you set up a Picture taken as a Picture Id or how is the quality when you take a pic w/ the flip closed?

You can't use the speakerphone with the phone closed like with the Motorola V60s?!

My friend that I purchased my v710 just sent me an email stating that he has another v710 for sale and it looking for $600, only $50 more than what I paid for mine. If I have any takers on that offer please send me an email at [email protected]. I coordinate all offers and we ship out using USPS Express mail basically overnight shipping. I work on first come first serve and I only accept PayPal nothing else, so if you want this phone no later than tuesday send me an email.

Yeah..I kinda figured playing music would be null without a memory card..so we will have to wait and see on that one until we can get our hands on some tranflash cards (also for a stereo headset from motorola).

eko, I am pretty sure the v710 does not support obex for file transfers...but can you confirm this? also, have you tried taking a picture with the v710 and sending them via bluetooth to a computer or handheld for viewing? you may have done this already..sorry if I made you answer this twice... BTW how you liking the battery life? thanks!

ecko04 I hate you right now 😛 , sitting there playing with a phone most of us have been lusting after for months now...DOH!, anyways, congrats on your purchase..have a question that I have been trying to put to rest that was mentioned on HOFO (no one answered) I know the mp3s can play through the speakerphone and they will play in mono (obiouvsly) but when connected to headset is it stereo? I would think it would be..kinda foolish for motorola to make a phone capable of playing mp3 music but limit the playback to mono, (also miss out on a chance to make some cash on accesories like a stereo headset that can answer the phone..or even better a bluetooth stereo headset....ahhh! 😁 )

Use RealPlayer to play the movies. I'm not a professional photographer nor producer so I did try my best and I can probably do better but I wanted to silence all the bullsh*t talk on here about me pulling your chains and not having something when I did and i'm lying and blah-blah-blah. It was done in a rush so quality does blow but that wasn't the purpose, the purpose was to get it out there for everyone. Other than that I believed I proved my point here but if there is anything else I can do for you don't hesitate to let me know.

I found this on the web. The person who took the photos said he was using a V710.

1.camera quality pics? The truth now, cause u know what we've been reading on hofo. 2.flash- does it work as bad as they say on hofo? 3.That darn battery issue re having to charge twice a day? 4. Does it/screen or whatever get warm as described on hofo? 5. Brick- did u feel its kinda big, the way I felt the 7000 was? 6.outside screen, is it nice and bright? 7. Inside screen, is it plasma-ish like that 9900 that vanished into a black hole? 8. Do the #s and letters appear small like a v60 or large like a LG6000? 9.Overall on a 0-10 scale the truth on overall awesomeness/quality? Thanks and oops its almost time for her 3am flight. I was wondering if you are able to tell by your v710 if the rumor about VZW blocking the ability to save pictures to the removable disk or transfer by BT is true. The rumor states this is to maximize the profit margin by forcing the customer to use a paid service. Thank you for your time.

he posted such on the 810 forum a few days ago, his was a tester model I believe and he wasnt too impressed. And the reason I thought 550 was high for ecko04 to pay, and told him so a few days ago, was because theyll be 449 full retail (he thinks 499 but I still hear 449) plus rebates and such so it'll endup being 449+salestax - rebate of either 50/70. But hey, he had 550, so y not. Plus my 2yr was up a few days ago so whatever I buy, It'll b less than retail.Iz all good

Verizon doesn't tell any rep when the launch dates are, however inside VZWs' intranet the V710 motorola is on one of the pages that has the new equipment that is going to arrive soon. With that being said it's normally 3-4 weeks before it's launches publicly. There's no info about the 810, so that one is probably not even coming out, and the LG7000 is coming out now in a week
