why won't the video length subject end?

The v710 has no voice notes.

The v710 records video clips for 15 seconds.

The v710 can hold 12 clips.

The clips can only be sent to someone else that owns a v710.

Period.

I'm new in this forum

I'm sorry if I'm asking a silly question but this is my first time.
I was looking on the Ebay and I noticed that there are some V710 posted for sale. How these people were able to get the phone?
Does anybody know when it will available in the stores?
Thank you.

Memory Card Slot

I'm not sure if this has been answered yet, but what kind of memory card will the v710 accept? The site says TransFlash card, but I've never heard of it. (Like SD/MMC, xD picture, Smart Media, etc). Is TransFlash a proprietary media form, or have I just never heard of it?

First mobile phone worm involving Bluetooth

First 'worm' aimed at mobile phones detected

I am posting this story because this worm uses Bluetooth and the V710 has Bluetooth.

What does everyone think?

the ebay phone story in detail

This is how its been going for all the newbies to this forum re the scams etc u guys been posting/enquiring.The 710s and 810s started showing up on ebay in April 19th.Remember that these phones have had so many bugs etc that theyve been in tests retests more tests and retests and on and on, so the testing phones (actual phones) were being sold on ebay. Ofcourse the funny thing is, because these phones were either test phones or lemons or whatever, the people buying them then resold em on ebay.Ofcourse theyre not going to list it as a lemon so they say theyre selling it (after a few days) due to unforeseen this or that or waiting for better or whatever. The same phone did the circuit and it was funny to see it being sold 3 times.Fast forward t...

Relative's info that works for Verizon (Funny)

My first cousin and best friend works for Verizon as a business sales manager. I was talking to him yesterday about video messaging and the V710 he informed me that I know more than he does about the up coming releases. He said they tell them almost nothing about products and services on the horizon. So if you think a CS rep is going to know more than a sales manager then go ahead and bother those people but it's a complete waste of time.

I too am very anxious for the release of the V710!

Peace

A RESPONSE TO REQUESTS (MP3//BATTERY/SIZE COMPARISON/GAMES

Mp3- In the phones music section (which is located in the same "folder" as the pictures, videos, camera mode and video camera mode) is where I found some MP3'S. I new they were mp3's because mp3 was the file extension for the files (*.mp3). There were only 2 files and they were not your standard songs, they were more like midi files just in mp3 format. Of course I played them and they blasted through the speakerphone (located on the back bottom of the phone). As far as the quality, I wouldn't throw a party with the v710 as your music source...one may conclude that music isn't the main intended use for the speaker phone (keep in mind that I didn't hear real songs but something like a midi or polyphonic song). It's possible that it would ...

Time Frame......

Just like with the LG VX-7000 coming out on the 25th and VZW employees are just today finding out about it with the release only a week away. Could it be that (wishfull thinking) maybe the V710 could be out sooner than 2 weeks of the VZW employees knowing about it like suggested here in this forum.
What do you guys think????????

A RESPONSE TO REQUESTS (Video)

First off, to end all confusion, I have held and utilized the moto v710. I answer these questions to the best of my ability.

Video- Yes it is advertised to record up to 3 min...I was only able to record up to 15 sec, possibly up to a total of 3 min.
In the settings screen [which also consists of

Auto Repeat (video will automatically loop after it has been played),

-Timer (format of the timer...meter, elapsed time etc.), Lighting Conditions (same as pic setting's white balance...sunny, indoor, night etc.),

-Recording Sound, and

-Status Icons.] you can select the Video
Length (Short MMS, Long MMS, Maximum). Though even in maximum setting, I was still only able to record 15 sec at a time...but there was not a flash ...

"Confession"

Ummm... I the original "Latto1" (Me) did not compose the the thread titled "confession" nor did he respond to "Anyone seen the short movie..." in such an untactful manner. I don't understand why someone would try to impersonate me. Is it really that serious in this forum? Oh well.

Guessing Price

Ok, we know that the LG VX7000 will be
1Yr Contract - $299.99

2Yr Contract - $249.99

No Contract - $399.99

Thats for an LG phone. Samsungs are more expensive than LG phones, and to top it all off Motorola is the most expensive. Now if Verizon is going to charge you $399.99 for a phone that doesnt have a 1.2 MP camera, or BT, just be prepared to wip out I'm guessing $499.99 for the V710. This is my theory on the prices.
1yr Contract- $449.99

2yr Contract- $399.99

No Contract- $499.99

Tell me what you guys think. Thinks its close or really off?

Some Hints

😲

So I called Verizon Wireless today to try to upgrade my current phone (LG6000) to the Samsung A610. The guy gave me no problem but warned me I should wait till July. I asked him why did he mention it, he told me there will be a ton of new phones coming out. He also mentioned that they will be running kinda expensive to be prepared.

He told me that they will be a Motorola phone as well as a Samsung to name others.

Just giving you a Heads up..

May the games begin

What about headsets for the v710?

Not that I don't want to keep reading about release date speculation, but I want to switch to something I have a bit more control over... That's the headset part of this.

I'm looking at the Jabra BT250 - It looks like a pretty nice set (and can be had for around $80).

Are there any other sets people are looking at? Will these sets allow you to initiate a call (via voice dial)?

I am leaning away from the Motorola version; it looks pretty big, and I will also want a speakerphone -- If I am actually one of the first 710 registrants, I would probably go that way.

got some decisions to make could use your help...

i've been lurking for a while, but this is my first post. been following the new phones being developed for VZW news/rumors, mainly because i have to choose a new phone pretty soon. would like to hear others' input to see which new VZW phone will work best for me.

first, i work for an association, and we have an annual conference coming up on july 17. the conference is the one time per year when i need my phone the most... i literally forward my office phone to my cell... not to mention, i'm taking a lot of pictures at the meeting. any other time of the year, my main need is just voice sevice, but i NEED to be able to sync with Outlook and find contacts quickly. Also need a tri-band for the NSR plan.

just renewed my contract with VZW, ...
