Motorola V710

I went to a verizon store in manhattan and when i asked the manager if he had any information on the the release date of the motorola v710, he said as of now he doesn't but verizons phone list officialy updates the june 28th and it will have all the new phones that are coming out within a 2 week period, so hopefully the v710 is on it. Basically there's no point of contacting verizon until the 28th because they will all tell you the same thing "I dont have any accurate information on the release date of the motorola v710"

To me camera phones are a good thing especially with a T-flash card. I really wish they would make a camera phone with a flash good enough to print at least decent 3 x 5 prints. I'll tell you why camera phones are a good thing and important. It is good especially in NYC to take pictures if you have a car if you get into an accident before you have to move the cars off to the side. It is also good to take pictures of parking tickets you may get if you think the parking tkt is unfair. It is also good for vandelism on your car before you move it from the scene if you think it will help prove something. I intend on test driving the 710, we get 15 days to use the phone and can return it if it turns-out to be the POS some people project.

If the 710 is a POS I intend to migrate to another carrier that is a bit more progressive... If there is any good news it is that the Verizon stores are now claiming to be receiving email traffic on the 710, but they still will not release any dates.

I am thinking that I will get LG VX8000 since V710 has been retested for many times. People are right, IT'S JUST A MOTOROLA PHONE with many bugs on it. How many Moto phones you can count that don't have bugs. Plus, the menu of Moto is not friendly to use, in fact it's confused for some people sometimes.
I like LG, even thought this is my first time with LG VX6000, but great reception, excellen audio and it is a quality phone. The menu of LG is so easy to use and nice.
According to some people here, the LG VX8000 will be out before V710, so I am considering to get that LG phone. I like bluetooth, good reception, clear audio, speaker phone, voice commands, voice dialing, long battery life, nice screen that supports for animated pics (.g...

All these other phones being released the 9900, the vx7000 and the vx8000, and finally the v810 are all ugly a$$ phones compared to the V710...The V710, in my opinion is the nicest phone out of the competition. It has the most features, and just because the test phones are having problems, doesn't mean that the actual phone is gonna be bad. That's why they are TEST phones...Anyway the V710 is hot and the others are not...bottom line 😉

if video mssg is released on 15th (tuesday in 4 days)then why dont the stores have in stock the 9900 or 7000. When the 670 was released on the 8th, the stores had em for at least a week prior (Im pals w a couple store managers and they told me so then) and today they didnt have the 9900 or 7000 in stock. Maybe the date is the 25th as stated in HOFO? What do u guys think??????

According to a lot of people on howardforums this phone is a dud especially when it comes to battery life and size. Any opinions?

I just talked to a Moto rep and he said that the phone will be out no later then July 31st but expect it much sooner were his exact words.

released on or about the 25th and the lg 7000 will be launched first, followed a week later by 9900. Theres pics,prices etc etc on hofo by VZWEMPLOYEE (most reliable posts always)so there u have it.

just got off the phone with verizon 611 and I asked them about video messaging. The rep said he never heard of any plans by Verizon to roll out this service any time soon. If not, than the v710 probably won't be out for a while. Right??/ I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like we might have to wait a while for this phone?? 😈 😢 😈

Ok lemme get this straight. On June 15th, the video messaging thing will be released and on that day the 9900 or the vx7000 will be released? Then following by how many days will the V710 be released. A week a couple of days two weeks? Finally what's this stuff I hear about like half-bluetooth or something or bluetooth doesn't work.


One last thing...When I was with Sprint I had the A620 and it was a decent phone and it wasn't a brick. The V710 is only slightly larger than it and even weighs less while the A620 doesn't even feel that heavy. So no the V710 may not be the size of your pinky, but it's gonna be a brick like the old old school motorolas with the flipdown thing that you spoke into... 🙂

i was just on ebay for the hell of it to see what these beasts are going for, i saw two of them going for over $600.00, i thought to myself if the phone isn't released yet, so how can this guy get em. well if you read the fine print he says the phone will be shipped as soon as i get them in mid-july. so why the F#$k would y ou pay $600.00 for a phone you can't have til everyone else does. plus with new every-two and rebates which you can combine together the phone should be well under $100.00 easy. patience and knowlegde can save some seroius flow.

I work as a direct dealer for Verizon and no one really knows when this phone will be out, but what i can tell you is this Video messaging will be released on the 15th of June along with the Audiovox 9900 or LG vx7000. My regional verizon rep told me that. I'm sure that the V710 is not far behind. 😁

I walked into a Verizon store in Brooklyn and they said that people are trying to ban camera phones all together. I know at my Gym the reason they ban cell phones being used while working out is mostly because of camera phones and people taking pictures of people working out and things like that.

I'm a Verizon Wireless employee in the customer service dept. and I just saw the director of of customer service (Marquett Smith) walk past my cubicle and guess what he had on his hip? the V710. You should of seen me, my eyes stopped blinking the entire time it was in my hands. I just had to ask him for it and also asked him for a quick demo. MAAAAAAAAAAAN this phone is unique and I'm in love with it. He showed me a short video of his daughter dancing away ;-) and it was extremely clear, not like the other phones that support video recording. In addition, Mr. Smith showed me how the zoom x4 works and man was it magnifying ;-) At the end of the short demo he provided me with, I asked him for the release date. His ...

can someone post a link of a comparison or some more information on the 9900 from the howard forums...i read earlier someone said there was a person on hofo that had a lot of good things to say about the 9900
