Motorola V710

Hi,

For months I've been reading every post on this forum. However, lately I became sick of this phone. Yes, I still plan on buying it, but it no longer has the spark it once had. Now there are over five unread pages in this forum, and no offense to any of you, but my guess is that they're filled with junk. So, I am going to be like what so many annoying people have done here, and I'm going to be just as annoying by asking "Is there any new info about the phone and / or the release date?" Yes, I know I could spend three hours reading the unread pages, but there would probably only one or two useful posts. Thank you.

Anyone think its true that Verizon is limiting this funcionality to force user to use there Picture Messaging?? Thats bs. Kind of defeats purpose of having those features.

ofcourse this phone is still in testing as testers r posting results daily on hofo. That what we've been saying all along for the last few days about the results of the testers reports which led most of us to believe this is a lemon, from the big as a brick to camera is so-so to dim screen to small display to very short battery life etc etc.

what are all of our options for phones that have video and pic messaging? I think that's the only thing I have to have on my next phone. It's the future, right?

I know i'll probably get in major trouble for this but I figured I would take a shot. I bought this application called QuickLink Mobile, most of you know it comes in the Verizon Mobile Office Kit that retails for $80. It allows you to conviently transfer your entire phonebook to your compute in case you get a new phone and you can write the entire phonebook to the new phone which saves hours off doing it manually. You need the data cable for your phone to do it. Anyway I just bought it and the link for download stays active for 48 hours so you need to get it while its hott!!

Yeah...I was wondering like havok423 if you can send music from say Itunes to your V710, then either listen to them or set them as your ringtone...If you could...that would be so kick a$$ and I would buy this phone w/out a doubt...Thanks for the help... 🙂

The old piece of junk phone I was using that could no longer stay on for more then 5 minutes drove me nuts. I went to the VZW store today to get the cheapest retail phone they had. It's the Motorola C343 for $150. I absolutely hate it. It has the smallest keys and the smallest screen. I asked the person selling the phone to me when the V710 was going to be released he said "Is that the bluetooth phone?", the man standing next to him said "It's still in testing", can anyone verify is that's true? Anyways, I hate the phone. I think I'm going to return it to get the the $150 back. I could really use the money too.

I think this guy from hofo and everyone else who says got source with Verizon are not sayng truth?

Does anyone know where the lights (the ones surrounding the Moto logo on the V600) are on the V710...Where they are and if they can have multiple color changes like some of the choices on the V600...thanks

You seem to be the only one knowledgable in VZW marketing stragety. So I ask you, what are they gaining by not having a centralized information release center. For instance, they can have a little section on their website, where they have a list of upcoming phones and possibly even their progress through their various stages of the testing process. This does not seem like divulging out company secrets. Even if so, what type of company secrets are their left to divulge if we all know they are waiting to release this phone, and make the largest buck possible.
I understand in all fairness that they dont want to look like they wet their pants again, following the T720 fiasco, but excessive testing, being shrouded in secrecy kind of makes you mo...

Someone on hofo was someone doing the "friendly testing" for verizon.... about the video clip..he said after doing a 15 second clip he was cut off and only have 50% memory left. so obviously this could mean that the phone CAN take up to 3 min clips but you'd more han likely need a 64mb transflash card or 128 mb.... also, sounds like the phone shouldnt be left on all the time with the way he said he gets hot since there are so many features to the phone... but these were just test models so we'll get the real s#it 😁

Ok guys here's the deal.

I am a Verizon employee. If we tell when phones are released, then other Verizon employees find us and then kill us. Its kind of like Agent Smith from The Matrix. But the truth is the only people that know the true release dates are the inventory people, and Managers. They have Marketing calls they sit in on, and then are given a print out of all the topics covered in the call. In these print outs they announce release dates. Lately, with all the re-testing going on, the release dates have been very general. ( mid to late June, or early July and such) And with each passing report the date keeps moving further and further back. I don't get to see these reports, but I have seen that the 710 is still in testing, beca...

I cant believe it, just cant. You know its gonna end up at 1000-1250, for a phone that isnt there.Jeez, as posted extensively yesterday, some lucky bidder will pay 1250 or so only to b told that it'll ship when the phones out as per small print in middle of listing. The day its out the seller will waltz into a VZ store, pay full retail of 399 or 449 (2 #s Im hearing)and ship the phone to that lucky (but the stupidest moron on earth) who paid big bucks 3 weeks earlier. WOW!!!!!!!!

Today I went into the Verizon Wireless store in Glendale...I went to the desk and asked if they had received any information regarding the V710...The woman said that they hadn't received any new information and are usually updated 2 weeks before a phone is released...and she hadn't heard anything...Therefore, ☹️ , the phone isn't gonna be out in two weeks...My guess would be 3-4 weeks...However, I didn't see the A670 in the store...The A670 is out right...? Yea, I think so...so...I dunno...again my guess is 3-4 weeks last week of June or 1st or 2nd week of July...*mumble* slow a$$ verizon *mumble* 👿
