Mobile Phone Tools Hack?

It sounds like you won't be able to transfer pix/video from the v710 to a PC, but is it possible someone will come out with a hack that makes the Bluetooth full featured and allows people to transfer pix/video to the computer?

Anybody seen the short movie for the V710 on the motorola website?

Its pretty neat. Well pretty geaky i guess. But it shows a lot of the features. I really like the headset. just being able to talk free like that is cool. and the speaker phone seems loud. Cant wait. Must be much closer to release.

Confession

Okay, my conscience got the best of me. I don't have this phone, I have never seen this phone, I know nothing about the features. I just thought it would be funny to post that I had seen it. 🤭

Memory and MiniSD Cards for V710

The V710 uses MiniSD Cards, which come with an adapter so they will fit in current SD Card readers/writers. This means you can get pics/MP3s on/off your phones. Also, they are current for sale on amazon:

Ask Me all you can ask.

I have held the moto v710 and I am extremely pleased. Please, ask me questions in regards to features and performance as I will have many other opportunities to "play" with this phone in the days to come. To answer some previous concerns...yes you can take "closed phone pics" simply by press the camera side key and holding it until the external display basically (the external display doesn't show all that the internal display does...example, you may only see the top half of your face when taking a self portrait, but after the photo is taken and you open the phone it shows the bigger picture) turns into a mirror, then press the camera key again to take the pic...it even automatically saves the pic without ever even opening it! It also (t...

ATTENTION LATTO1...

does the v710s mp3 player sound good? is the quality of the mp3s good???

also, how is the speaker phone, is it clearer than a v60p do you know??? if you dont know about the v60ps speakerphone, then just rate it 1-10 (10 being the highest)

in your opinion do you think it is worth having for 2 years???

does it feel flimsy? or sturdy?

and finally, what are the games on it???

please answer all these questions in an eas to read form...kinda like this

- blah blah
- blah blah
- blah

thank you

Overall a elegant, beautifully made phone.

Physically, the phone is great. One may turn the phone over and expect to see the Mercedes symbol (In my opinion). It has a nice weight to it and a sleek design that phonescoop images fail to do justice to. The key pad is raised just enough over the phone's base casing, and they have a shimmery coating to them unlike I've ever seen. Not to take away from the look, but the keys resemble those old plastic covered couches (in a good way 😉 ). They rest comfortably within the walls of a slightly raised outer perimeter. The screen is noticeably bigger than my current phone (lg vx6000), and the menu transition time is also considerably shorter...espeacially when using the "Get It Now" feature. I did not see any signs of an easy facepla...

Battery Life? Switching Batteries?

With the v710 getting recently modified I was wondering if anyone heard anything about if they made any changes to extend the battery life? All rumors have said the battery life is horrible, and I am just concerned it'll be a sweet phone that I have to recharge every 15 minutes? Does motorola ever offer higher powered batteries for their phones, so you can switch them, kinf of like what i do for my PDA?

V710 Memory Question

The V710 uses SanDisk Cards right...? You can also put them in digital cameras...If the V710 can take the SanDisk cards, will the V710 take the 128MB or the 256MB as apposed to the smaller 1's? If so...then I believe you could store a lot more photos and video...thanks

Thoroughly Impressed!

Work in CS for VZW, and had a change to try this phone when I stopped by out tech support department this evening. A few of our guys were passing it around and one made its way in my direction. Haven't been a fan of Motorola's recent offerings, but I was genuinely floored by this phone. I didn't want to put it down... exceeded every expectation I had! Some people may have some reservations right now, but it seems like Motorola may be back on it's game with its VZW models. Easily the best picture quality I've seen in a camera phone. 😳

What phone scoop says

With the rumors of only having 15 sec videos everywhere, the phonescoop specs still say 3 minutes. Does phonescoop have mad inside info to the point where they would adjust and update the specs if there was a change in video capacity (and battery capacity in this case)?

A couple things Popular science mentioned...

...that I hadn't caught wind of before:

Sounds like the v710 uses the small outside screen for a preview of the picture you're taking- i.e. the outside display will show what the camera is viewing as you manuever your open camera for a self portrait. Hope that means you can also take pics w/ the phone closed.

On a similar note, it also says the vx8000 can be used as a webcam bc of the EV-DO network or whatever. Kinda sweet.

Hopefully thats crap thats as new to you guys as me (or at least concrete crap, compared to the speculative crap we've had to sort thru)

Interesting bit of Info.

I'm a verizon wireless indirect agent and I was checking some stuff out and noticed that that ever rebate that we have is only valid thur June 27th. Which would mean that we will be getting new rebates on the 28th. But most of the rebates are for phones that verizon are trying to move like the vx6000 and 8900. This to me would mean that verizon will be launching new phones prior to the 27th then getting us a rebate. So most likely the 710 will be launched on the 29 or July 6th.
