Quick2Net vs Network Express

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of this phone but I have some questions/concerns.

My service is paid by my company directly and I have no control over the service although we currently have everything I need including mobile web. I have in the past used Quick2Net with my palm and a cable connected to my phone to access the internet. I now have a T3 that will be perfect with the V710 but I have concerns that I will not be able to connect without having Network Express on my account.

Does anyone know if Q2N will still work without the higher speed service of Network Express?

Thanks,
Jackard

Battery configuration?

Does anyone know, or can anyone intelligently speculate (read β€œguess”) as to what the v710's battery configuration will be like?

To be more precise...

I've seen some Motorola's where the batter is... well a battery which is covered by a (you guessed it) cover. In others, the battery clips into the body of the phone, and becomes part of the phone's body. Am I making any sense?

Anyway, I prefer the latter and that's what I've had in my current phone (Samsung a530 - battery clips into the back) and my previous phone (Motorola StarTac Timeport - battery clips into the front).

I really like the configuration of the a530, which has two sets of charging terminals: internal for use with the included charger (the batter ...

The V710

The V710 is a great phone and those who know that will wait, sorry if your phone is falling apart, next time be a little more careful. The release date is in July as I stated before, if you cant wait the LG and the Audiovox will probably launch first in the next couple weeks. Just be patient. You will love whatever phone you end up getting and you will continue to love the service and reliability of Verizon's network and the progression in the data technology of Verizon's network. Please take that with a grain of sugar.

for what its worth...

Last Wednesday I went to my local Verizon store and asked about the release of the v710. The salesperson, who seemed to be clueless, stated that he didnt know when the phone would be released. He did state that it should be released before July 1, because Verizon is expected to release a number of new phones before that date.

Like I said, the salesperson seemed clueless, but I hope it comes out soon. My Audiovox CDM-9500 is falling apart.

I called a rep today

Just more of the same stuff but this representative sounded as she knew waht she was talking about. She told me that the phone would be out on the Verizon Wireless network and be out sometime between today and the end of July and that there is no set date yet. I asked about the price and she said there is no set price however, she said judging by the price of the v600, she would sat about $299. She sounded as though she was reading this from somewhere so possibly this is a realistic price.

Video sending question

hey all 😁

Im assuming the v710 will be able to send and recieve video clips, but can we send and recieve them to people with different providers (ie sprint, at&t etc...) granted their phone is capable??

and how is this going to work as far as being charged? a charge per sent clip? $x for unlimited? or has that not even been discussed yet?

thanks! πŸ˜›

This is ridiculous

They are making us wait forever and a day. You know what motorola and verizon don't start advertising hardcore for something that does not exist yet. They are dangling this great product in front of us but wait you can not have it because were not ready to give it to you. Next time do not make a movie using the phone until the phone has a set date to come out. Take the film and shove it up your azz hole.....Peace

Stupid question

When did everyone get definitive confirmation that video messaging was coming out on the 15th of this month.
That would seem like the first thing to confirm before assuming their marketing stragety around that date.

it is here, and I just played w it, and it was no dummy

unlike some posts that thought it might b a dummy. Its not. Its the real A670. Small cool bright etc and slated for official release on the 8th. Only drawback is u CANT send video and it had a capability to send pics but no video.Samsung at its best.

V710 Price and Hype?

I was interested in this phone, but the long delay has now pushed the phone release back so far I am concerned that it will be competing with a new breed of phones by the time I see it in stores. What are the odds that we shell out over 250 dollars for this thing and then 2 months later all camera phone prices drop as a flood of entry level camera phones are released?

New info on V710 release

I got an official word from one of the Motorola regional sales managers. He said it was in what they call "friendly user testing" and that would be finished in about 2 1/2 weeks. The launch would be the first or second week of July if everything goes right.
