V710 RELEASE WITH VIDEO MESSAGING

JUST WAIT UNTIL VIDEO MESSAGING IS RELESED AND THE V710 WILL BE RELEASED RIGHT ALONG WITH THE SERVICE. JUST THINK THEY WAITED TO RELEASE PICTURE MESSAGING WITH A GREAT PHONE LIKE THE LG VX6000. THE SAME WILL HAPPEN WITH VIDEO MESSAGING AND THE V710. 😁 😁

July

I was at my local VZW store switching my number from my A610 back to my StarTac (I sold the A610 on EBay), and the CSR told me simply "July" when I mentioned the v710. So...... who the hell knows.....

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill., Jun 2, 2004 (PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX) -- Ever imagine becoming an independent film director? Now for something really special...

We all agree that the phone will come out sometime, and we all cannot wait. We also know that the phone is in limited circulation.

I am pleading with those of you who already have the phone. Put more picture of the phone on the web for us all to enjoy! Put some samples of the camera's handy work, maybe some video to download of your dog. Enlighten us with a quip, story, lyric regarding the phone and its incredible features. Anything, please anything! I gotta have my fix!

Verizon discontinued Motorolas

Verizon has discontinued MANY of the Motorolas that their system is currently supporting. They only have 3 phones from them left. They informed me that the release of the v710 could be anywhere from 2 weeks/1mo or longer... so, if they don't know, I doubt anyone on this board does. Also, before M releases the v710, there is SUPPOSED to be a sequence of M phones released through VZW v710 being one of the last.

This info doesn't help as far as finding out when we can get our d@mn phone... but it's just some info I wanted to share.

*Thanks

Response from Motorola

Hey all

I've been reading this forum for the past few weeks, and have been getting mixed 'release dates'...so I figured it couldnt hurt if I went ahead and asked myself. here is what I recieved:

--------------------------------------------- --

Response (Sarah L.) 06/02/2004 10:39 AM

Dear Jesse,

Thank you for contacting Motorola e-mail support. We appreciate your interest in our brand and our products.

Regarding your concern, we are excited about bringing the new Motorola V710 BlueTooth enabled camera phone to the US market. When Motorola launches a new phone, this is made in agreement with the service provider the phone is manufactured for and therefore we generally do not have specific launching dates. The new Motorola V...

What VZW Rep/Tech told me!!!!!

All I've seen at this forum is that phrase, with a different answer every time!!! First they say May28, then some other dates, now not till end of the year!?!?! I don't trust what these guys says anymore!!! Being a rep for another company myself, I realize that we say whatever we want to say.... If i need to sell phones that day and someone asks me when a certain phone comes, I'll probably tell them not for a long time! Why? So i could try and sell them a phone NOW! When it actually matters!!!! Now, if i were to know the release date and if it was just a few days away, then i would probably tell them. They're more likely to come back in a few days and actually buy the phone.

V-710 hype

Don't you see you are playing into Verizon and Motorola's hands. You are hyping this phone to be the hottest thing since windows xp . This phone will be out because Motorola and Verizon haven't been the best of partners. Last fall they were at each others throats. As for being the first 710 to get a hand set. I'll wait till my new every two in Sept. Companies like M and V use this to gage projected sales and $$$$$. So it does sound like this will be a fathers day gift.

This is what a Verizon Store Rep Told Me Today

I went to the store, the guy helped me...

I told him that I was currently an AT&T customer and that my contract was up June 9th. I showed him my current Mercedes Timeport phone and explained to him that if I were to switch, I needed bluetooth in order to use the Hands-Free in my next car.
I told him that I had heard a new Bluetooth Motorola phone was coming out and I wanted to know whether or not the phone would be out in time for the port (otherwise I would sign a contract with AT&T and get the V600, which was BS, I would just wait longer for the 710).

He told me that the phone should be out any day this week or next week and that I should be able to get it by the time my contract is up.

I then asked him for a ballpark price fig...

Features Included? FM Radio, Faceplates, GAGIN, battery, BITPIM . . .

I just read the scoop over at MobileBurn and was wondering about the capability of the FM radio. MobileBurn didn't mention it having one. I already own the OEM Headset attachment to turn the v60/t720 into a radio, will it be compatible with the v710.

Also will this phone offer convertible faceplates as well, and will they be metallic or plastic.

As far as the battery goes, what is the motorola SYN number on it, or will it support the same battery as the 720.

One last thing is being brew 2.0, does anyone think they will develop a tool such as GAGIN or BITPIM for this phone. I have attempted PST with the 720 but I prefer independent programs like the other two I mentioned.

Thanks in advance if you took the time to research the c...

Antenna Question.

Call my a crackhead idiot but I'm just curious to know if it is at all possible to switch a pull out antenna like the one on the Motorola V710 to a stub antenna.

I prefer stub antennas like the one on my LG VX6000, and I don't think it really reduces my signal strength because I'm always having as many bars of reception as my buddy's Samsung.

Anyway, even if it isn't possible to switch the antenna, I'm still getting this phone when it finally comes out!

Viva Stub Antennas!

Lets leave VZW

If we all leave vzw and tell our friends and family to leave vzw for a company that understands and appreciate it customers, vzw will have to start producing products that people like... at the customers request not at their leisure. i have been a customer for many years, early 90's and i am fed up.... i am going to nextel....... 👿 😡 👿 😡 👿 😡
