There was some discussion before about how big this phone is, and of course (as earlier stated), the most accurate way to ascertain this would be with a ruler, referencing the published specs, etc. However, I do believe that if you set your screen resolution (not that you'd normally want to) to 800x600, the following picture will appear pretty darn close to scale:

All I want is a phone with no bugs, I know they are doing a lot of testing on this phone, it may be because VZW does'nt want to offer another troublesome T720, T730 to us, their customers. So as I stated at the begining, I'll wait!!! Take for instance the problems other companies like AT&T and Cingular have with their phones and their bugs, it seems like all they care about is to release their phones without all the proper testing, Thank you VZW for at least being one of the few companies that actually care about releasing phones that will work, maybe it took a T720 for them to realize this.

what the big fuss about this phone anyway? i had a chance to get the look and feel of one and i tell u it's a BRICK!!

i just talked to a verizon Representative and he told me that he has no current information on his phone list, BUT his phonelist along with new phones changes every month, he said verizon will be recieving a new phone list June 28th, Hopefully the v710 will be on it. 😉

Hi there,,, I heard some of you saying the V810 is still being tested and failing... But look I just got the V810 cell phone... I don't live in the US and that might be the reason for this... but as far as I am concerned Motorola would never anounce a wireless phone and then abandon it... They have already launched a web page for the V710 so it should be out in weeks...

Ps: I pourchased the v810 wich will be soon in the market in the us...

What all you guys aren't taking into consideration is this phone is still a motorola...what do i mean by that you ask? glad you asked. this phone will be great as long as you don't mind the charging port problems that are a problem with every motorola phone, poor battery life, (ala the T-720/730), and software issues like every other motorola model...i'll go without the bluetooth until lg or audiovox (Toshiba) makes one!!!

I stopped by Radio Shack today and asked about the V710 and where did the salesman go for info?! Phonescoop.com! That shows that atleast the Radio Shack people don't know **** about it's release date...

Anyway, he told me that Radio Shack does there on testing aside from what Motorola does, can anyone shed some light on this? It sounded pretty stupid to me.

if you look on the a670 info page the FCC ID was given to it July 2003 and it's coming out now. June 2004. Now, if you look at the V710's info page the FCC ID was given to it FEB 2004. so if it was the same time frame it would be out JAN 2005. all I'm saying is this phone is on track and because of this form we're all hyping ourselves up and jumping the gun let's just hope they're twice as fast with the time it takes to get the FCC ID to the time they release it as they were with the a670.

i was wondering what kind of accessories would come with the phone? has anyone seen a website or anything with some kind of information on this? i know the V80 came with a BlueTooth headset and i was wondering if the same was going to happen with the V710.

another thing i was wondering is about the TransFlash memory card... will it be coming with the phone? and if not will they be selling it at Verizon stores? i work at a verizon retail store and we know only what we get from this site 😕. if the TransFlash cards are going to be sold through Verizon retailers then i can get it cheap 😁

mp3 player...? does it just play mp3s with an adapted headphone set or through the speaker? and what will the quality of the mp3s be? hopefully not 64...

Went to the verizon store on 34th near macy's... the guy told me

"The phone was supposed to be out a few weeks ago. I guess it's gonna come out soon... maybe tomorrow, maybe in 2 weeks... it should be out in two weeks, but who knows..."

so how much is it gonna cost?

Ok this is only for people who need to know when this phone is going to be out..

Ok so this is what I know. I was talking the nephew of my Aunt Tilly's Hairdresser's Gardner who heard from his Ex-girlfriends step-dad's Veterinarian that the Moto V710 is going to be out no sooner then 6/5/04 but definitely out before the 2008 Presidential Election.

Now even though he doesn't know everything he is 100% sure about this. So for those of you waiting for this phone I hope this gives you a better idea of when to expect this phone.

And I would just like to finish by saying I agree with Editor, the phone will be out when it is out, lets talk about the phone and stop the bulls**t of how everyone's lives are going to hell in a hand basket if...

I'm planning on getting the V710. (And no, I won't ask when it's coming out...) My question is that since it has bluetooth, is it possible to establish a network between it and a bluetooth enabled HP Ipaq pocket PC. Furthermore, purchase appropriate internet data service through Verizon in order to get the Ipaq online while on the go? True net access that is, not some crippled variant.

Secondly, if it is possible, what data transfer rates are to be expected?

If I am asking in the wrong forum please let me know where it'd be more appropriate to ask this. Also, links to any websites explaining in detail to a non-techie how this would be done would be appreciated.
