Motorola V710

?

It's not at all that I'm unhappy with the quality of the pictures--my employer just implemented a no camera phones allowed policy. Well, I LOVE my V710 and I shouldn't have to get rid of it just because of one feature. Is there some way I can disable the camera (aside from putting a piece of black tape over the lens)?

I've had my phone flashed by VZW with the new firmware. I am looking for the wallpaper that was on the original firmware. Does anyone know where I can find it?

I've searched the forum and cant find an answer. I have the transflash card and have been able to make ringtones, but I have been having trouble with getting the phone to play short clips. I have some 2-5 seconds MP3's that I want, but the phone doesnt play anything when I put it on the card. Please help. Thanks.

So as it becomes clear to me that my 710 with .30 software is dying (well in my eyes) aka has too many scratches (just kidding) i took advantage of the FRU, and ordered a new 710. However the stupid rep told me she is unsure if im going to get one with .38 or .40, she said she knows you cannot take mp3s from the tf to the phone with the new version; So heres my question -

IF i recieve a newer FRU with .40 loaded, Can i have it switched back to the .30 in the store?

Id rather have a dying .30 with free unlimited mp3 ringtones than a working .40 with no mp3 rings (granted i can live with the .30's quirks and they are minor)

when i charge my phone, the ringer automatically sets itself to "loud" volume. does anyone else have this problem, and if so know how to fix it?

I won a Motorola V710 (actually a LG VX6100, but I opted to pay the difference and get the Motorola) and could not be happier. I have zero problems coping the files to the SD card and then transferring using a reader to my pc. I also have had zero problems getting mp3 files onto the card and then playing them on my cell. I have an aftermarket (CCM) bluetooth headset that works flawlessly. I use it daily. Why is everyone else stating these problems? I know two other people with this phone personally and both have zero problems doing the aforementioned things. Maybe it is user error?

BTW, mine is for Verizon.

Ok I know this is a very stupid question. But how do I change the Alert sound for when I get new Voice mail or text mail. I downloaded the Homer Simpson MP3”the mail is here” and I really want to use it but I just can find how to change the settings. Thanks

For any of you who are happy with the V710 then you need not read this and move on, for those of you who are unhappy with your 710 and feel like your stuck with it because your in a contract there is hope. Verizon's policy states that after changing out the same model phone 3 times because of the same or different problems they will give you a brand new compatible phone. So in other words if your V710 is changed out 3 times, you as a customer have the right to exchange that phone for another brand new phone that is compatible at no extra charge. I am talking from experience. That is how I ended up with my 8000 and I had the choice of 4 different model phones. the 710, 8940, 890 or the 8000. Why be stuck and fall into the hands of corporat...

I just purchased my phone and I have to say I LOVE it. I wasn't all that concerned with the Bluetooth features so that may be why.

I do have a few questions:
- I just tried playing with the camera and have noticed that low res is giving me clearer pictures than high res. Am I crazy??

-I am most concerned with volume on the phone and speaker as well as text messaging and phone book options. Are there any tweeks or software upgrades that I should try??

I am a sales rep that uses my phone 4000 plus minutes per month so any help you can give would be appreciated!!

Also - I am new to all of this so I need the "stupid" version in your responses!!!

i searched through the forum, but couldn't find what i'm looking for.

i just got a transflash card in the mail, and i'm trying to get mp3's from my computer onto the card to put onto the phone. do i need the usb cable to do this? i originally thought, with the sd adapter (which i have) i could pop it into my computer, shift a bunch on mp3s on the card, take it out the comp, and pop it back in the phone - i think i might be trying to over simplify. a step-by-step walk through would be appreciated...i'm still trying to understand all the things this phone can do.

also, the zip file 'untouchable' had up on the forum a while ago - what exactly does that do?

WHERE CAN I GET AN HS850 BLUETOOTH HEAD SET FOR CHEAP...CAUSE I AM CHEAP!!!

Believe it or not I'm still using a StarTac....I 've had it for 7 years and it still works great. I'm in love with the looks of the new RAZR but, Cingular service in NYC isn't great and I'd like to stay with Verizon. Does anyone have any ideas on when Verizon might get something that looks like the RAZR? Or do I just get the V710 so that I can access POP email?

I'm able to receive email but not reply to an email....I send send email only if I enter the sender then write a message....when I try to reply I get "sorry server not responding try again later". I have been on the phone with Verizon for almost 4 hours and they couldn't resolve the issue....has anyone else had this problem and how can I resolve it??? 😡

if this phone wasnt made to have bluetooth how would someone who rated this phone badly because of the problems with bluetooth rate it if it wasnt meant to have it?

Its been down for more than a week to my knowledge, what happened?

I saw a post that said that if u get the new flash update... it takes 20seconds to fix the problem with not being able to transfer files. So enlighten me... how do u do this....
