Can't delete preloaded media gallery

Humm you would think after spending $249 for a supposedly top of the line phone that you would be able to delete the preloaded pics to make more room as they only give you a measly 10mb of built in memory but this is not the case. I think I am going to return my 710 and buy an 8000 which has a massive amount of built in storage space which allows you to delete the preloaded pictures if you choose.

I really would hate to rid of the 710 but I guess I am left with no choice It's a shame. Such a great phone......

V710 Seems - Resources

For those of you so inclined, here is a reference to the seem edit stuff that I've been talking about.

http://www.nuclearelephant.com/papers/v710seem.html »

Keep in mind that the software tools used to do these modifications are engineer's tools, and were never intended for consumer distribution. That being said, they can be dangerous to use in terms of damage that you could do to your phone -- and the software used for the mods is far from bugfree and bulletproof!

The best reference for any of this stuff appears to be the Howard Forums -- so just Google for it, and then search out the V710 related stuff. Howard Forums is probably the premier 'Geek Page' for cell phones. These guys are simply having fun. It's their hobby, and it's fun...

vzwpix.com Not Working For MP3 To Ringtones????

I have been out of the loop with regards to downloading stuff to my cell for a while as well as not checking this forum as much as I used to. Anyways, today I tried to download an mp3 via vzwpix.com but for some reason I kept receiving an "Invalid media type for upload☹️audio/mpeg)." Basically I changed the .mp3 to .mid as I should have and thought I did everything else right, but I can't seem to upload the file into my "inbox." Is there a problem with vzwpix.com or am I forgetting to do something? Thought I followed directions the right way, but I may have forgotten something along the way. I don't have any wired connections from my phone to my computer so this is basically my only way to do this. If someone could help me out it would be gr...

We get it. You love the 8000 and not the V710. You've said the same thing in 75 different posts. I hate side-buttons. I've said the same thing in 20 different posts. Now let's both go out into the real world and get a life ! 🤣

New Software doesn't work

I've gone to three different Verizon stores and all of them have told me that my phone will not accept the new software. One store even went as far as telling me that the new software would fry my phone. The gentleman before had his phone updated and after could not sync his headset with it. Is anyone else having this problem? Am I the only one? What's going on?

v710 can make calls

The v710 has the ability to make and receive calls and works as a phone. Not that shabby if your looking for a phone. I played with the v710 at the Verion store and I was very impressed with the speaker. 😁

V710 as I see it.

They should exterminate roachman along with the V710 and the cell phone industry would be a lot better off... 🤣

For papa roachman

Its seems as though we may have to squash this insect as he made its way trolling on the 8000 forum.

Free Games on v710

Is there anyway (utilizing maybe the transflash card, or the USB cable) to get games on the v710 without going through get it now? It seems like verizon has a chokehold on that, but i was wondering if anyone has a way around it.

DOWNLOADING PICS DIRECTLY TO MY PC ( 710 )

Ive just purchesed the motorola 710 fom verizon. ANOTHER CASE OF THE MAN* KEEPING US DOWN. Smart but cheesy is verizon making us use there servise to transport pics rather than releasing the software for us to download them like a digi cam to our pc directly.

I know there must be a way to do it. Can someone send me links of software i need or teach me how to directly download my pics to my pc. TY ralph

Free 30 sec ringtones-mp3
by nine178 Oct 15, 2004, 10:04 PM

I dont know if you all know about this 30 sec mp3 free music clip trick or not, but here it is. I can not take credit for this, I actually found it on another forum and think its worth spreading.
For free 30 sec mp3 music:
-Go to Walmart.com, search under Music, do any kind of specific search like sound effects or broad search like rock.
-Click on any album and scroll down, walmart allows you to listen to 30 seconds of almost every song on every album.
-To listen first just left click on the side on the song where it says "mp3 audio" winamp will pop up and allow you to hear it.
-If you like it than right click on the ...

I am interested in syncing my new phone [not purchased yet] with my Palm Tungsten E PDA, so that I can get email and browse using the cell phone as the modem. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it a big deal?

Low Battery Warning

Has anyone discovered a way to disable that annoying Low Battery Beep? It continually goes off even in vibrate mode.

I know this was discussed 5 months ago, but am unsure if anyone has found a way to disable it....it's very annoying during meetings, etc!

Thanks!

Quirky problem with photos and TF

Ok, so i have the 128mb TF and haven't had any problems until now. The card is about 50% full. I have the camera settings to save the image to the card.
Well, it just stopped saving the images to the card one day. When i select save and the hour glass comes up it stops and goes back to the root screen where the wallpaper/time/date/etc are. Normally it would say the file name and "saved", then go back to camera mode.

So i switched the storage devise to the phone and it saves just fine. Video saves just fine to the TF card still and i could move photos from the phone to the card.

However one day while moving some photos an error popped up. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was something in essence of a bad area on the TF ...
