Battery Question

Lately my batterys have sucked. I have 2 Batteries i only charge them when they fully run out (im really anal about this because i want max performance from my batteries) and switch them after charging (for max performance). Lately the life of the battery is like from sun up to sun down. Has anyone else seen a decrease like i have? Can i call verizon and suggest giving me a fresh battery, or is this somehow my fault?

Please, Respond!

DORMANT V710

Sometimes lately when I open up the phone, instead of VERIZON WIRELESS it says DORMANT. I hit the END key and it will say something like MUST USE PC TO END DATA SESSION.

I go to PREFS and NETWORK and dial out using my Tungsten T. It won't connect, but when I hit cancel BTTOGGLE will anounce that BLUETOOTH is OFF and VERIZON WIRELESS appears back on the main screen.

It doesn't appear to be online (using minutes) and text messaging and voice mails still come through.

I'm just curious if anyone knows what that means or does or if I should be concerned.

I have a reflashed (1.40 OR) F/W with the crooked camera.

I just got the 810 headset and really like it. Does anyone know if I can use the cig adapter from the V710 to recharge the headset in the car. Its the same universal connector but not sure if there are different charging specs. Thanks. BTW -- new to the forum and you guys are really good in covering just about evey aspect of the V710

Wireless USB set to kill off Bluetooth

Interesting article on a new wireless standard:
http://www.vnunet.com/news/1161670 »

Bluetooth may still play a role as a handsfree protocol, but I feel it's days are numbered especially if the SIG allows things like the V710 to happen.

Bluetooth doesn't do anything to ensure compatibility. Whereas, USB does a compatibility test before allowing any manufacturer to use their USB name and logo on their product.

Read the Bluetooth SIG Mobile Phone Implementation Guide too. It describes the various Bluetooth profiles as "suggestions" or "recommendations", but not mandatory requirements. That's where the compatability problems come in. Too much is optional.

BMW, Verizon and others actually publish a "compatability chart" for which phon...

In Search for a Ringer

I heard a standard ringer on Motorola V300 titled "Ambient Mood". I would like to download it onto my V710. I already asked in V300's forum. No help there, since no one responds as often as in this forum. 🙂 Is it possible to get that particular ringer off the net,and if say, where?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

PST 7.11, patch

So foregive my newbiness, but I am having awful trouble finding links to download Superdave's patch, PST 7.11, and PST's universal patch. Any suggestions? Feel free to PM links, people seem to be hesitant to post links in the forums. Thanks

Jabra BT800 Question

I'm currently using the Moto HS810 headset but am unimpressed by it. I can hear people fine but they have alot of trouble hearing me unless I talk really loud. I was checking out the Jabra bt800 and had a question about the ringtones. Does this thing ring where you can hear it if your not wearing it or does it just ring through the earpiece. I want something that rings while its sitting on my desk so I dont have to wear it all day. Thanks.

Scratches On The Screen...

Anyone notice scatches (or marks that don't seem to come off) on the main screen that aprear to be caused by the number keys/buttons? I'm really confused about how & why they're getting there because the keys are smooth and rounded. Thanks for any thoughts on the matter.

#777

A few weeks back my phone stopped working when I called #777 for mobile access. I finally got around to finding out why.

I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with verizon. Talked to three people there and the third person told me: "verizon wireless only supports bluetooth headsets" 👿

Verizon went through and disabled my access to #777 because I have a phone with bluetooth and that could be a useful feature.

I am sick of their BS. I think I might have to cancel.

Transferring MP3's

I am a newcomer to mp3's In an effort to make it work. I opened "my music" folder on my computer's desktop as well as the "shared/audio" folder using my transflash reader. I dragged and dropped song titles from "my music" generated by ripping titles from a cd using real player. Place the flash back into the phone Looked for what I thought was an MP3. It was nowhere to be found. HELP!! 😕 🤭
