Stupid question but can somebody give me a step by step instruction on how to make mp3 into ringtone?

So now that I have the TF card...what next?
I still only have the onboard memory for ringtones correct? There is no way to increase the capacity for this option? Basically the TF card is just to transport to and from the PC and phone and then to use the phone as an mp3 player/movie player?
Of the ringtones I get over to my phone, a bunch of them tend to not play. Anyone have some recommended settings for their mp3s? Which kbit/s and hz levels? I've searched but just found 25 pages of not what I was looking for.
Also, I have the phone from the 2nd week it came out, I haven't done any flashes or updated any firmware. Would you advise that I do so?

No Incoming Calls Following Update to 8700_01.02.SD
I was wondering if anyone had this problem following the firmware update. The phone does everything it said it would, but I have been missing a lot of incoming calls after the update. My wife has another verizon phone and we called her phone to see it was a netowrk problem but her phone rang. When you call my phone it goes to voicemail in 2 rings without showing up on the phone.

Questions and help with my V710 with USCC
hey everyone i just have some questions and need some help with things. I know a lot of poeple have the 710 with verizion and alot of these posts relate to verizon phones. i searched through the posts to find stuff about USCC so i did my research. First i want to put MP3 ringtones onto my phone how can i do it with uscc i read some posts that you cant do it with tf card and verizon you can send then in an email but how can i put them this phone. and how can i make my own with what program and tools so i can make a 30 sec clip. next flashing my phone do i need to so i can get MP3 on it? and how do i do it i know with a usb cable but i dont know what the newest program is or if the uscc already has it on it. Handsfree Voice Gateway
So, OK... I've been using my v710 quite successfully with my ThinkPad T42 to access Verizon's 3G network for internet access.
In "My Bluetooth Places" on my laptop, it shows two services for the v710. 1)Dial-up Networking Gateway on Motorola Phone and 2)Handsfree Voice Gateway on Motorola Phone. Obviously, I'm using the Dial-up Networking Gateway for internet access. I just don't know what "Handsfree Voice Gateway" is for. Anyone done anything with this?

.mid wont work anymore
When everybody was uploading music a long long time ago i was using .mid for my music from itunes. Now it says it wont work. Any advice?

I bought a converter so I can plug my head phones to my phone(normal head doesnt work) and now it just sounds horrible.
Is this the best it does? or did I buy a wrong converter?

PST 7.1.1 question
So I'm trying to install PST but something is wrong when it tries to install the patches for win xp. I have sp2 so that may be the problem because its saying its something w/ the service packs. What do i do?

Just Flashed My Phone with the SD Firmware, works great with MPT, but transfer rates to slow.
I recieved my usb data cable in today so I flashed my phone with the new SD firmware. Everything went great and worked well with MPT but it took me 10 minutes to transfer a standard MP3 file to my phone. My younger brother and sister got v551 for christmas from cingular and they can transfer files via MPT bluetooth almost 10 times faster. Now I realize that the v551 has the OBEX profile and the v710 does not, but my question is has anyone esle experienced this slow transfer rate, and is there away to improve it? It's almost not worth using bluetooth via MPT to put mp3s on your phone because it's transfer rate is to slow.

help with Transflash card not working anymore, after flash update
can someone please help me, i mean this forum is for helping people and for new things right??...so please someone tell me what i can do, i keep going to media on my phone then audio and try to switch storage devices and it freezes or it freezes now when i try to open auido files
