Motorola V710

I recently flashed my phone with the superdave firmware. Today I tried to edit my one of my web sessions and found that I could not edit the homepage of a previously created session. The session used the wap.google.com as a homepage. New sessions also appear to have this problem. Anyone else noticed this? How do I fix this? I lost all of my web sessions after doing a Master Reset.

I've been away for awhile ... what is the latest news on the Verizon Firmware update?

Are they even going to release one?

I bought a USB cable, the standard MOT one, to use for syncing. However, I was also informed that it should charge the phone. When I first got the phone, I believe I saw it say charging when I plugged it into my computer, but now it doesn't.
Is this cable supposed to charge the phone, and if not, is there a solution for this? I ran out of juice today and it was not fun.

I'm not yet ready to get another battery, as if I did, I'd want some sort of desktop charger with an extra charging bay for the battery, like my old startac desktop charger.

Do they have that for this phone?

Anyone know?

i recently purchased a data cable and placed it in my computer, i downloaded all new drivers and it still doesnt work, it just says hardware installed motorola v710 and when i go to device manager its still yellow and wont work..anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it??

Motorola is claiming that none of the V710 handsets have the Bluetooth OBEX profile, regardless of which carrier they were made for. I've read the HoFo posts about the phone in Brazil, absesslers handset and the Alltel version, but can anybody confirm that there are any uncrippled V710's available for purchase anywhere? Any other Moto BT CDMA's at all?

My transflash card kept saying my pix were corrupt. It also had duplicate folders (for ex. shared) in the motorola folder. I went and formatted the transflash card. Now there are no folders. How do I get folders back so that I can upload my music and pix back onto my phone?

Anybody knows or figured out how to playback MP3 thru this bluetooth headset? thanks!

I'm wondering if anyone has tried faxing from a laptop using the V710 (over the bluetooth connection).

I have no problem using the V710 to connect to the net via bluetooth (as a modem)...but I can't seem to use it as a fax.

I go through the Windows Fax wizard. It connects via bluetooth to the phone...starts to call the fax number I selected from my address book, but then disconnects immediately...rather than establishing a connection and sending the fax.

Any advice is appreciated.

when you try to access your transflash does it work????? MY PHONE JUST FREEZES AND I HAVE TO PULL THE BATTERY

Well, believe it or not, but the Bluetooth is fully functional on the USCC v710. I have successfully transferred audio mp3 files to my v710 via bluetooth. I have transferred photos also. All via the Mobile Phone tools program. It is pretty sweet. I have also initiated phone calls via my computer over bluetooth. Haven't got it to work as a Modem yet, but that is because I just haven't gotten around to it.

But again...Bluetooth IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL with United States Cellular V710s. File transfer DOES work.

anyone know if i can use the verizon cable to do the flash on the phone...and what does the flash update on the phone?

At buydotcom they are offering it for 299$ with 2 - 150$ rebates, with "new activation" i.e. a "new service subscription". Would that entail closing out an old Verizon account and starting from scratch, or merely renewing a 2 year contract with the new phone?

Still, not a bad deal. Not sure how common it is.

First can verizons data cable work for the flash, that comes with there mobile office kit or something

When I take pix with this phone there is obvious dirt specs ALL over the resulting images. the outside of the lenses is crystal clean but the dirt/dust is on the inside 😡 . does any one have any tips for fix, or has this happened to you?

I know that I mine Lg7000, I hade to get a cable and some drivers, and then I had to get a program called bitpim? Do I need same thing for the v710? if not plz tell me how to do this
