Ringtone format
When you download a real audio ringtone from get it now, what format does it come in? I know it "supports" MP3s, even though verizon took that away. And yes, I know about changing them to .mid, I was just wondering what they were from get it now.

I’ve been waiting for this phone for a long time. Once it finally made it to the stores, I was about to run down to get one until I started to read about all the complaints users had.
I waited through the recalls but after reading the reviews it looks like Verizon has a dog on their hands and I’m not ready to pay $250 to $300 for that.
My old StarTac has about had it, I can’t wait too much longer so I need to find another phone. I can live without a camera in a phone but I wanted the Bluetooth so it would be easy to use it as a modem for my laptop. I have an aircard now and this way I can dump that expense. Is there another phone that you would recommend? I’ll switch from Verizon if I have to but I would rather not.

Recall of v710(for those who have done it)
I just came back from VZW and they took my phone. However, I have to go back in an hour to pick it up. Did any of you go through this, and if so, why?
I'm a tad bit confused as to why it takes so long to give me a new phone in place of my defective one. ☹️

I know this has been talked about before because i have check previous threads, but i just purchased the usb cable for my motorola v710 and am looking for a place to download the software for it. Sorry for bringing this up again but i would really appreciate it if someone would help me out.

Question about memory card slot
my freind has a phone with tmobile, the sharp tm150, it has a memory card slot where he is able to put in a secure digital card and take pics and put it on the card and then take it out of phone and take into like walgreens or walmart and print out the pics.
Can you do it with the v710 or not, you should be able to since it has memort slot

BMW BLUETOOTH
Has anyone here used the bluetooth feature in a bmw mine only works some of the time other times it says the bluetooth signal is weak, please let me know.

For those with problems after flash...
What ever you do... don't call Verizon and tell them you have flashed the phone and now have problems....
.... what do you think they are going to tell you other then... "bring the phone in and we will re-flash it for you."
Of course they are going to tell you that... and there you go.... right back to square 1!!!

No Recall?
I contacted VZW customer service yesterday and inquired about the recall. The official word from a customer service rep was that there was no such recall on the V710. I explained that I heard there was a recall because of a poorly mounted camera and that I did a test to see if my phone was defective... which ultimately proved that it was. He connected me with a Motorola rep which gave me the same response. She told me that if there was such a recall she and her employees would be the first to know. I asked the VZW rep before he got off the phone to notify me if any official word of a recall surfaces. I told him that I know they issue "corporate responses" even if they fully know that there is a recall. He told me again that this was h...

Does anyone know what exactly this flash does for the phone, and does anyone know if verizon will come out with a flash that they will do for you???

Transflash and jpeg help please!!!
I have a transflash card and use it for mp3s etc.. however, any picture i try to put on the phone from my computer says it is too large to open. I have a 5 Megapixel camera. Is there any way to cut down the size of a picture so it can open. Also, does anyone know what the limit is for the size of picture it can handle? Any help greatly appreciated.

Folks who recently purchased a v710...
I'm curious to know how the recent phones in the past few weeks have held up. I know they stopped selling the v710 for a while as Mot had some bugs to squash. Now that the v710 has been back in stores for a bit, how has it improved from the original stock from a couple months ago?

QUESTION FOR V710 OWNERS...
I'm looking for a new cell phone for christmas, and I have been researching for months on the right phone i should purchase...I am sick of waiting for the LG VX 8000 to come out, so I need na honest opinion from the v710 owners. Do you think it is a good buy considering all the features?? And I dont want to hear it is a terrible phone and it sucks at everything because it has to have more better qualties than bad...Also how are the mp3's on this cell phone??? Thanks for your help!!

It seems like since SuperDave put up the VZW BETA (Texas) version s/w 8700_01.40.OR today that HoFo has been all choked up. Bandwidth limit exceeded at vzw.inetron.com Port 80.
Has anybody got that file so we can mirror it someplace else?
