Motorola V710

Motorola said to try to restore the Bluetooth settings using this procedure:

MENU > SETTINGS > INITIAL SETUP > MASTER RESET
(Security Code default is 000000)

Has anyone tried this? It's not documented so i don't know what it does...

I flashed my phone with the new software. It went fine, but now I'm unable to use Mobile Web on the phone. When I launch the Openwave browser it times out and says "Error: Network Down". If I go in to the Web Sessions and try to launch a specific site (ex Yahoo Mail) it tells me "Browser setup is incomplete."

Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I found this on another forum, he said it worked. I personally flashed 3 phones with the 02 SD firmware and have had no problems with any phone, so I can't try this to see if it helps those with problems, but for those who did have problems after flashing your phone, try this:


The basic problem people are having with the Verzon official release and the SuperDave version is sound quality for people you are talking to and battery life.

I upgraded to the SD version and everyone complained they could not understand me and battery life was lousy. I then flashed to the verizon version and still no go.

Solution:

Backup phone # etc, from phone.
Flash to new Verizon firmware
Remove battery for 30 seconds
Menu->Tools->Initial Setup->...

Is there a good reason to get Verizon's Mobile Office Kit and (or instead of) Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools? From what I've seen on Verizon's site, their kit comes with a cable and some 'internet accelerator' software I wouldn't use. Motorola's comes with a cable and some tools to manage contacts stored on the phone, set up appointments, and connect to data networks.

I've had the HS820 for about two weeks now and all of a sudden it wont pair up with my phone. I charge it and have not done anything to damage the headset. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I even erased the headset from my 710 and then paired them again, the phone recognized the hs820 when i had to pair it again but when i try to find the device for regular use the phone just keeps seeking w/o finding it. Please let me know how I can solve this.

How long is your battery lasting on full charge?

I have a v265 currently in trial period. I'm not so happy with it as the screen is horrendous, the cam stinks, the build is cheap quality, and the sound is tinny.

Is the v710 any better than this? I know the screen is crisp, but I've read of so many problems. Are the core components solid? Is the speakerphone clear? Earpeice loud?

I may be trading in for this.

what accessories go well with the v710???? also what is the best or a good website to find accessories for cell phones????? 🙂

As many of you might already know in the VZW website...when the zipcode of 99999 was typed into the box it said shopping in null, which gave you access to the VZW page of every phone they had. Including discontinued phones and future released phones. For example with the LG 7000 the phone was in the zip code 99999, 2 weeks before its release, along with many other phones that have appeared there before release date. Now when you type 99999 it says "We currently do not have service for zip code 99999." I find that very strange. Why would verizon take that off?

I just got my v710 today from uscc, brand new. i went hope to take a pic and somehow 26% is already used. How is that since i havent even taken a pic yet? Is there anything i can erase to get more memory back.
Also do you have any idea how many pics the phone cna hold?

this may be old news but today i was told by a verizon rep at the store that they would not ever be able to do the flash and that it would have to be done by moto,possibly by having to send it off.

which phone is better for uscc for camera qulaity, call reception, call quality and battery life

Just a question i have is this phone really worth it, should i wait for something else GOD knows Ive been waiting long enough. So for you folks out there who have it. Is the phone worth all the hype is it a GOOD PHONE, should I buy it? All I need is a YES or a NO and little reason to go along with your answer THANKS. 😁

I just purchased a v710 today. Is there anyway to identify if this phone was manufactured after the recent recall, or before? Does the UPC code, or any other number(s) on the phone, show this?

I heard you can demo games for free. I dont see any option to do this. Can someone tell me how to download a demo? Thanks.
