Motorola V710

I have the ko right now and whats a better all around phone, cause i have 15 days and im just curious.
The camera looks alot better on the koi than the v710.
Also have they corrected the camera problem on the 710.
Can someone help
Bluetooth is not important at all too.
So i know both of these have video and megapixel cameras, just tryin to see which one is better.
Cause both are gettin bad reviews.

Has anyone found a pouch for the V710 that is deep enough to hold the phone with the extended life battery?

A coworker just got his V710 fedex'd to him from an online upgrade.

His box came with both a blue AND and an orange dot on it.

Since I am on my 3rd V710 I know the blue was for the crooked camera ... what is the orange for??

Do we know what the second recall (official or not) was supposed to address?

My coworker ended up ordering one online because all the stores in the Monmouth, NJ area said the phones were recalled ... again and were out of stock.

I saw some initial posts about the 2nd recall but have not seen anything more since last week.

Any new news?

I noticed that if you put the quality down to medium while indoors it will get rid of most of the blue lines.

Also, if you put it on "night" the color will be better.

that will be two cents.

I have a 128MB transflash card with SD adapter and USB cardreader for sale for $60. I bought the 710 and the card, but returned the 710 shortly thereafter for the nokia 6230 which takes MMC instead of SD. I can't return the card or the reader so if anyone wants it all for $60 its theirs. post a reply or email me at [email protected]

Hey everyone I need some help. I have been waiting for over one and a half months to get a replacement for my V710 because it is broken. Verizon keeps telling me to come to the store on certain days and then when I get there the tech people say that the phones came in a day or two earlier and that they only had 3 phones. They told me that they will have some on Tuesday but I wouldn't be surprised if they magically ran out when I get there. I'm fed up so I am considering changing carriers. Now my question to everyone, Nokia 6260 with Cingular or wait it out with the Moto V710 some more with Verizon. Verizon We Never Stop Working Top Annoy You. Thanx

crooked camera.. but i got it on ebay.. will they still replace it? should i call *611 or visit a vzw store?

This maybe already known, and might have already been talked about, but I spoke with a Verizon tech the other day and he explained to me that the 1.2 Megapixel doesn't necessarily look good on the camera itself, but when sent to a computer or laptop the picture is suppose to look great. Now I've never done this, sent a picture to my computer, but if he is right, then your pictures should look really good. If anyone out there has done this, please let me know what you think of the picture quality from your camera to a computer or laptop. Maybe he is full of it, but it made sense to me at the time. Please let me know. In the meantime I'll be getting a usb cable and whatnot to check it out myself. Later

I read in the forum that the phone will only take 2 minutes of voice memos, but it takes 500 names in the phonebook.

Does this mean that you can use voice recognition for all 500 names in your phonebook?

can u set a different MP3 ring for each person that calls u or can u only choose mp3 rings for groups list of #'s that u entered in your contacts list?

😕 Has anybody placed mp3 files in the transflash and used it in the phone??? I don't know if is just me. I placed about 17 songs to listen to but when I went to play them in the phone, only 10 played. how come? 😕 Anybody know why? And another thing, I can't listen to the mp3's with the Bluetooth headset. Does this has to do with the bitrate? 😕 or I just have to buy another wired headset?

Ok here goes -- I purchased the hs 850 from an ebay auction and it came from hong kong (you should see the plug funny looking thing)
I have owned the hs 820 the hs 810 and the jabra bt 200
I thought that the hs 820 had good sound quality. it fit a little loose and it flopped a little and it had the known issues with answering calls.
the Bt 200 was an interesting device the fit was very comfortable and stable (fit very tight) the sound quality was passable and the mic worked well -- for awhile then it quit working (the ear piece that is) i traded it in on warranty and the same thing happened again so i took it apart and there are some hokey connections so any way I traded it in again and sold it on ebay because they would not give me my ...

This may have been covered way back and this question also covers more than just the 710:
On the 710 it is pretty obvious that the capacity of 500 names is also 500 entries, as the phone only holds one number per entry. Yes, it can be set to only show the primary entry and then you can scroll through the sub entries, but they are still all numbered entries. Moto just has a way of sorting and displaying them differently.
I just came from a Samsung A310 where the Name could hold multiple numbers, I believe it was 4 per name. It also had a capacity of 500. Anyone know if this was 500 names times the number of entries per name or 500 number entries total? I will assume that a lot of manufacturers play with the numbers on capacity but was wonde...
