Screen Bumper For New V710 (?)

I noticed that some peeps are saying that the "old" V710 had problems with the screen getting scratched because there wasn't some kind of bumper guard on the screen. I'm just making sure that I have the bumper on mine, but what would it look like if there was a bumper around the screen, and/or what would it look like if it didn't? My camera seems to be straight to me, so I guess I am just making sure I have the right "new" V710. I was told about two months ago that the "old" V710 was recalled, and it was taken off the website as well. I'm figuring that's because it was recalled. Well, when the "new" V710 became available online about two weeks ago I was quick to order, figuring that this was the corrected phone. Anyways, obvious please let m...

Anyone else thing vibration on Motorolas sucks?

First of all, I think the vibration is very weak and can barely be felt.

Second, why don't the vibe and ring at the same time, instead of vibe then ring. That is upsetting.

Asking a lawyer.

Didn't Microsoft do something similar?
Verizon customers are only allowed one option to take advantage of the media gadget software download accessories. Get It Now.

Plus the disabling of Blue tooth when it was initially advertised on the phone. Isn't this false advertisement?

Questions bout my new fone.. :)

2 questions...

I got my phone from Radio Shack, Got tired of waiting for the "fixed" one from verizon. The camera is tilted slightly.. but i figured that it wasn't that big of a deal. I was wondering if when the fixed one came out from Verizon, could i take my phone and exchange it for another one there? Or would i have to go through Radio Shack. Also has anyone gotten an OS update on the phone yet?

actually three questions...
Do you have to enable bluetooth "temporarily" everytime you turn on your blue tooth headset on?? Can't you just turn it on and leave it on? On the telephone that is...

what is the difference???

So I called my local VZW store (NJ) last night and was told "Yes, the new phones are here. Come in and we will swap you out for the camera issue."

So I went to the store, and was promptly told by the tech guys that they were NOT in.

Tech guy went and talked to the store manager to confirm, and the store manager told him that a shipment of new phones came in for NEW SALES, but the shipment for replacements/swaps was NOT IN.

On hearing this I was prepared to pitch a fit with the store manager, but I only got as far as YOUR STORE told me 20 min ago to come here and he decided to give me one of the NEW FOR SALE phones.

What is the difference??

I understand that a new customer is more revenue than a swap ... but would there be any...

Got my new V710

Got my new V710! Not sure if the bluetooth works, (I'm sure it doesn't), but the camera is much better (still crooked though). the software version is 8700_01.30.8F.

I am still able to access the fileview through bitpim to get my pictures out, but funny thing is that all those annoying vzw icons don't appear in the picture gallery. They must have upgraded the software, or changed some settings while they were at the camera thing.

New V710

I thought I read on this forum that the Motorola V710's would be in Verizon stores on November 15th if you have a phone that has the tilted camera. Has anyone exchanged their's? I talked to a Verizon sales rep and he said he never heard of the problem and that everyone loves this phone.

Sprint, Cingular/ATT or Verison. NO VERIZON CUSTOMER REPS!

I'm going to switch from Verizon because of their lousy customer service. When I switch most of my family will switch as well. It took me a couple years to get them to join Verizon but they know and can't stand Verizon Customer service.

What would you suggest for the new service?

I know Verizon has slightly better coverage than Sprint and AT & T is horrible. But, what about Cingular has that improved or is Sprint the way to go???

I don't want to hear from any Verizon Reps!!!

Spend your time fixing the Bluetooth and working on your customer service!

Can you set the phone to automatically display text messages?

My old phone did this. When you get a text message, you have to open it, then click on "read".

I want to just open the phone and there it is.

To press my luck, is it possible to read it with the outside display?

Transflash Cards

I will be purchasing the V710 in about a month and I have seen many threads regarding the Transflash Card. Couple of questions since I really don't know what it is.
1. What is it used for?
2. Are there any other items needed to get the full functionality of the card (cables, software, etc....), and if so, any links would be helpful.
3. Is it really worth purchasing?

How come you can't set a shortcut for the light?

Since the light is a pain to turn on sometimes, I tried to set a shortcut for it, but it said it would not allow this. Why is that? Is there a way around this?
