Motorola V710

Does anybody know if I can do this. Because Verizon dissabled the BT functionability am I not able to do this?


Can we do something against Verizon because they advertised this phone as full Bluetooth and than crippled its features?

I am currently using the verizon v710 phone on the Alltel network. I have access to "Get it Now" which is Verizon's service, so how can they charge me? I guess I'll have to test it out once.

Anyways, can I still use the web browser to access free WAP/internet? Does alltel have a free gateway or can i use Verizon's.

Does anyone have any idea if this phone will have colored faceplates or covers like most motorola phones do? Thanks

I was shocked to find that if the newer Motorola phones are in an area of "No Service" your Clock, DateBook, Reminders, Alarms, also DO NOT WORK. You will not know the time and neither will the phone!

That means if you have programmed in your datebook an appointment, or meeting your v810 or v710 WILL NOT REMIND you!!!

I will be selling my Verizon v810 and not buying the v710 either. ☹️

Has anyone had any luck with pairing the v710 and the T5 for BOTH dialing and data transfer using VersaMail or SnapperMail?

does neone know when the v710 is coming out for us cellular?...or if there are ne new phoens in testing?...thanx

I was wondering, how different is the picture quality after moto recalled the phone and fixed the tilt in the camera?

Why is it if you set a ringer ID thats an mp3 or not previously on the phone, that it rings even when the phone is set to vibrate?

Hi, Anyone knows how can I select more then one MP3 music to play in sequence. What I mean is how can I play my list of music. I just can play one after the other. Thanks... 🙄

This headset feels loose on my ear and feels like it will fall off when I turn my head real fast (like looking both ways at an intercection to pull out) Is there a way to adjust this thing to be tighter on the ear? I dont' think there is but wanted some opinions.

I'm in need of a v710. USED is preferred, and small scratches and nicks are ok. Tilted camera is ok also, as I wont be using the camera. Extra accessories are a plus (TF, stereo headset, extended battery... etc).

I am shopping for a new phone. Here are options I need
1. camera
2. pc sync
here are the options i want:
mp3 player
polyphonic ringtones
verizon carrier
bluetooth (tho I don't know if i need it)

the reason i want verizon as my carrier is because I already have verizon, and i know it's features in my area and around the country. i also have another phone (a verizon only phone) that i would like to use on the same plan for emergencies.

the only phone that fits this criteria is the v710.. i have read some bad things. should i bite the bullet and change my plan, buy 2 phones on another plan? i hate to go into the shops asking that question, bc i know what the sales guy will tell me.... any thoughts?

It seems that everyone is waiting for a new firmware rev for their V710 but I haven't been able to find information on exactly what FEATURE this new firmware will enable or what BUGS this new firmware will FIX.

I just picked up my V710 on Nov 15th and I'm having second thoughts. The camera images look pretty crappy but I haven't tried it in the daylight yet. The image isn't tilted... that seems to be OK but the pictures are very grainy, very poor in detail, and looks like pics from a low-budget cheap webcam. In fact, my cheap webcam looks much better than this POS.

As for bluetooth, it seems brain dead and not fully functional. Yeah, it works with the bluetooth headset but thats about it. Is it me or is it this V710? So far, I'm ...

I am new to this headset, but my question is. Once you press the button on the headset it asks for a command. What if you want to just cancel because you pressed the button by mistake? I know you can press the button on the phone, but I would like to void the whole thing instead of listening to the lady asking you for a command.

VERY disappointed in Verizon's customer service.
I don't care how big they are, this arrogance will destroy them!

They should not treat their customers this way. We pay them, we made them and we can certainly have some effect on how they practice their business and treat us.

Just got my new replacement v710 ( third one now ). Camera is definitely not tilted, but haven't had a chance yet to really see about image quality, but I don't expect any difference. However, the ear-piece volume is PHENOMINAL now. I actually had to turn the volume down and this was in my softop Jeep doing about 60mph on the highway. Now I know some people say it's just getting used to holding the phone the right way to get the speaker in the right place on your ear, but I had worked that out on the first two phones and that did make a difference, but nothing like this.

So now I guess I'll just be wondering about the new firmware like everyone else.

Does anyone know how to make the animated wallpapers work on this phone. I downloaded an animated wallpaper and when I apply it, it doesn't move. Can someone help me out with this please?

Is this difficult for anyone else?

I have NO control when someone else calls me. If I answer it, I have to wait for them to hang up to get back to my original call. Maybe if I hit the green or red button, that would work, but I don't feel like hanging up on someone to find out. I don't see anything in the manual, either. That's jank!

And three way calling - is this even possible on the v710?

Sometimes progress isn't always forward. This sort of thing was SO simple on my good ol' Sanyo 4500!

Any ideas?
