Bluetooth Problem!!HELP!!!
I have a MAC with Bluetooth and it recognizes the phone, but I cannot sent a MP3 to the phone, it gives me this message "Device does not have necessary devices". Any suggestions??

Off Topic - Razor
A friend of mine won a V3 in an employee incentive program with Cingular. He just got it this week, and I had a chance to look at it last night.
It is pretty nice. The design is very impressive. I took some pics with it and they were crystal clear and sharp; unlike my blurry over saturated V710 pics.
I noticed it does not have the ObeyMoto tech on it.
Also notice it was a little SLOW. like when I went thru the ringtones it would take a second or two (after pressing the down button) to stop playing the current ring, and switch to the next. Same with viewing the wallpapers ... little delay.
I also plugged it into my laptop, and MPT recognized it no problem. The Multimedia options were available and I was able to save his ring...

What Is All This Talk About Firmware????(Newbie I Guess)
I'm a little new to this maybe, but I'm reading a lot about people wondering when the new "Firmware" is coming out for the V710. What does that mean, and is this something I need to take care of for my V710?
About a little more than a month ago I walked in to Verizon totally knowing already that I wanted the V710, the sales rep told me that they were recalled and they wouldn't be back in for about a month or so. I also noticed that verizonwireless.com also took the phone off their site, first saying they were "out of stock", then just removing it altogether. So I waited....And waited....Then I noticed that they went back up on the website and my local store was getting them in a week or so, so they said. So I ordered it instead as I am q...

Let's break up Verizon, like the Feds did to AT&T
Yes. We were all fooled again by Verizon, who Motorola says has had the firmware since September, V 8700_01.38.52 but they won't release it.
I can only hope that as many customers who can bail out on VZW actually do it, that the Class Action Lawsuit is successful, and that the financial loss to Verizon is horrific.
VZW needs to be dismantled, like the Feds did to AT&T many years ago, and make them earn our business all over again.
Really, the telephone carrier should not have the right to dictate our hardware choices at all, and the folks who enforce the Sherman Anti-Trust Act should be working on that problem right now.

Got my new V 710!!!!
Hi, I got my new V710 phone today and i think its alot better then my old one. You can still save The mp3's as ringtones it will still say save to phone or apply as a ringtone when u download it to ur phone from www.walmart.com so thats good. The ear peice seems to be alot louder then my old one which is awesome......and the pic quality seems to be better but I have not played with that yet to much I havent had time I just got off work...so if u ask me i think the new ones do seem to be alot better then the old ones so if u got an old one and dont like it I would get the new one!! take care... 😁
the new v710's they fix camera but kill other thing. now for picture ID the photo has to be on phone
THat sux.. that means even more wasted space on the phone. I remember perfectly well that picture id was able to be taken from photos from the memory card.. oh well.. booo. and we still CANNOT delete those STUPID default pics that the phone comes with.

V710 or not ? That is the question, Part II
Okay, I'm still kinda getting mixed reviews on the 710. I know there are a lot of people out there that are just dead against this phone, but is it really that bad. My sister just purchased the LG-VX6100 and this thing is pretty good. I don't know anything about LG though. So my question once again is.....If the phone is going to be used primarily as a phone and maybe a camera function here and there, which phone would you recommend. The V710 or the LG VX-6100. Thanks for the help!

Inner Lens have keypad scratches on it??
If your main LCD lens has scratches on it, then you can go to a Authorized Motorola Repair Center and have them put the new lens on that has a harder plastic, therefore not allowing for it to get stratched by the keypad. This is covered under warranty 🙂 , I went to one store in Franklin Square on Long Island and they did it for me on the spot 🙂 and the tech there told me that Motorola issued new lenses out for phones with date codes of ENJ and prior. I dont think Corporate Verizon has this part. Besides, they are retarded over there anyway. 🙂

New v710?
I just spoke to verizon rep who told me that in mid december they will have an updated version of the v710. Except for the bt is this a quality phone? Also can I download any mp3's on to the expandable memory, or is it just for ringtones?

New Feature on new V710??? or maybe not
As I said in my earlier post, when I picked up my third V710 this time with the fixed camera and the blue sticker dot on the box, I noticed that the keypad did not light up.
Upon furthur investigating, I opened the phone in a dark room and the keypad lit up.
I closed the phone turned on the light, opened the phone again and no keypad light.
I did this about 10 times with the same results. I do not remember my previous (crooked camera) phones doing this. I'm assuming that the new camera might have a photosensor in it to save on battery life I guess.
Could anyone please verify these results...with the older and newer V710's

New v710s expected to hit stores late november
bleh, that was the response I got from verizon when I emailed them asking why they were on the site and not in stores.
many of you say, its only a few weeks, but a few weeks is a long time when you have a broken $300 and no spare 😁
