Which is the best headset to get for my v710 ? 😕

I know this has been discussed a bit, but is it really worth using the phone as an mp3 player? Has anyone that has tried it found the investment in the Motorola headphones or adapters, etc. worth it, especially if you have an ipod or other portable mp3 player?

I decided to purchase the Transflash card for the V710 and now I'm a bit confused as to how I can transfer data between the card and my pc. I guess I need a transflash SD reader. Can anyone recommend one or where I can find one at a decent price.

I would like to use the bluetooth function on my IPAQ 5550 PDA, primarily to reach the internet and email, when I'm not attached to a WiFi netword. For this I need another bluetooth mobile device. I already have Verizon cellphone service. I'd like to buy the V710, primarily because it won't cost me anything further for service. But I've read that Verizon cripples the Bluetooth function in significant ways. Does that effectively mean that I'll be severely limited in my use of the Bluetooth on my IPAQ PDA? In what ways?

To Everyone that has the 710 and a wired headset please try and plug it in during a call, spin the plug around and see if the phone cuts out. Either mine comes loose when i spin it around (or plug it in wrong) or i have a problem with my phone - i suspect that it juts pops up alittle when you swivel it around... thanks for your help! ive since bought the bluetooth headset, but i sometimes like the wired ones...

Ok,one last time and I need to get this right because I think I ruined one tf card and I just ordered another($25 on e-cost.com)because whenever I try to access my pictures on the tf my phone simply shuts down.Here's how i transfer pix to the card:right click on the pic,go over to "send to",direct drive,floppy,my docs etc. comes up,I go to "removable disk f",-boom,done.Please let that be right.If not PLEASE someone help!Thanks

I did what you said and went into programming on my v710 and changed the rate to 14.4/14.4. Then you instructed to pair the 2 devices. I know that on the v710 that means going into settings->bluetooth->setup->Find Me. Now, on my Palm I'm not so certain...what I've done is go into preferences-> phone-> set up connection to read BT to Motor.TP280i and the press test. When I do this I get this response on my T3...

"The phone was unable to handle your request. Please make sure your are using the right driver for your phone".

hey...well it seems by the responses and replies that you both have posted that you both seem to know a lot about this phone...i wanted to know if it was possible to walk me through getting videos and movies on my phone because i downloaded the nokia converter program but didn't know how to really convert or work it so i ended up removing the program. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...help needed urgently! thanks

what is a site that i can download and save music videos from. i tried yahoo, but it wont let me save them to the desktop. can i save them to the phone or transflash without saving them to the pc first.

I can't seem to get Phonetools - an actual legal copy 🙂 - to work with the V710. I got the "Futuredial" USB cable from Radio Shack. It seems to know something is there, but it can't quite identify the phone and it just "initializes" all the time. I hope it's not a cable compatibility problem. The phone beeps when I connect and remove the cable and Qualcomm Tools saw that it was a Motorola phone of some unknown type. SO it seems to communicate. Plus, the USB driver from Phonetools installed OK.

I also tried plugging the USB cable directly into the computer instead of a hub. Still no go. Anyone get Phonetools to actually work with the V710?

So my 7000 started glitching and i went to verizon and they gave me a new one. If i wanted to switch phones without paying full retail could i do that now, becuase of the 15 day period thing?

If this has been asked and answered, I apologize. I cannot figure out how to disguise a mp3 as a midi file in order to send it through the vzwpix.com. I have read almost all the mp3 questions, but I dont understand how you change the file type into a midi file, any help.
And my next question is in regards to animation. I have owned the vx6000, 8900, a670 and when I send a GIF animation/wallpaper/screensaver to the phone and set it as a wallpaper it stays as animated. For some reason on the v710, when I view it in pictures it is animated, but once I set it as a wallpaper it just stays still. Am I doing something wrong or what...doesnt make any sense.? THANX ALL

Why does the V600 take pictures that are sooo much better than the V710? V710 pictures are off color, grainny and just not clear, while V600 pictures are sharp and clear. Is this a software issue or a hardware issue. I would have assumed comperable performance; I guess not.

which do you think they will look better on, because i hear the megapixel camera on the v710 is crap, and i also hear that the screen for the 9900 is gorgeous...so maybe the pics will look better???

Hey everyone, I want to get a new phone. I can't decide between the Audiovox 9900 or the moto V710. The moto V710 seems to have more features but your going to pay for them (319.00), where as the Aud 9900 has a great price (49.00). Reception is very important to me. Could anybody who has used both this phones give me some advice (pros and cons of both phones) on which one to get?
