Motorola V710

New v710s that are being sold now have the "Apply as Ringtone " feature disabled 😕

I finally got around to taking some pictures with the camera yesterday... What a waste! They turned out so grainy you can hardly make out the image. Why bother putting a camera feature on there if it can't take a decent picture?

I transferred about 20 pictures to the tf card but now after a few seconds of viewing them the phone will either turn off saying no service,powering a couple of ticks later or the screen just goes to black while the keypad stays lit.The only way to restart is to pull the battery.I even reformatted with the same result.This is one freakin strange phone brudder!

What would the price of a v710 be if I bought it after my other phone broke, before my contract was over?

Just wondering if the few people who ordered it direct from Fellowes got the right case and not one for a different phone. And if anyone has found it anywhere else - if so, please post a link.

rt clicked pics to drive 'c',then put in tf card,rt clicked send to removable disk f,memory increased by another 6200kb but no pictures!what happened?!

It has been reported here that the v710 does not give user option of having phone ring on incoming calls. This is not true. Default is to have incoming calls routed to the handfree device automatically. This setting can be changed by going to SETTINGS > CAR SETTINGS > AUTO HANDFREE and changing default from ON to OFF. This stops the automatic routing of incoming calls to the handsfree device without phone ringing. I prefer the OFF setting cause I can now leave the HS820 turned on and with an incoming call just pick it up and press the main button once and I have the call on the headset.

Hey i read on hear a week or so ago sombudy had a way to take MP3's on your PC and Convert them into Ringtones on there V710. I would love to know how too do this. Can anybudy help??

My phone is working fine. I can make outgoing calls, i can receive call. The only problem is my internal screen is completely blank. It is bright white. The external screen is perfectly normal. I have no idea what when wrong, all of the sudden it just went white. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I did some research on this bt headset and found out that it's actually quite impressive. I heard about it on hofo by someone who works for the company(i presume). Its smaller than the hs820 and lasts 9 hours for talk time and 400 hours of stand by for $80. If anyone else knows more about this headset and how it compares to the hs810/820, please let me know.

I bought the SYNC Cable from RadioShack (forgot name, yellow box w/SYNC software and separate purchase for cable to go with this software).
The cable wouldn't stay clicked in and wasn't seen by software. The employee told me it was listed as a usable cable - so much for that.
I went to CircuitCity and bought USB/BLUETOOTH. I had some issues with getting it to work; but once it did it only did voice recognition and network set-up.
I want to use my new bluetooth to do SYNC w/OUTLOOK 2003.
Does anyone know of a software that is out there that will recognize my BLUETOOTH USB connection and allow me to SYNC w/OUTLOOK 2003 and my V710?

i saw that new nokia , pixel camera phone can play music videos with realplayer, does the v710 have realplayer, or windows, or a builtin software ta play music videos 😎

Is this a Motorola marketing thing,are they the same headset?

I realize this is a repost, just anxious if anyone knows.... The have been posts saying headsets for the MPx200 work with the V710, maybe the telephone functions do not.

First I went to Howards Forum and found instructions on what to do and I could never get beyond the Palm displaying "signing on". And then it would time out.

I just spent over an hour on the phone with a tech from vzw data center. We went through the entire problem of my not being able to break through and use my v710 as a bluetooth modem for my Palm Tungsten 3. We tried everything until I told him that my computer is a MAC and not PC. He seems to feel that because of this I might not have the proper drivers in my Palm to interact with the v710. During all of our testing he didn't once detect my phone making contact with the Verizon network.

Does anyone know if this is true and where I can locate the correct drivers that I can downlo...

I bought a Faceplate for the motorola v710 and im not sure how to put it on whithout breaking the phone... anybody no how?
