I am not a fan of a flip phone, but with the cost of $49 and all the features, I made the leap of faith. I was thinking of the V710, but when I saw this one, it knocked my socks off. I have not found any negatives. Get one ASAP. Bluetooth & MP3 player is not worth the extra $200 bills. Anyway...have you seen what those people look like with that Bluetooth headset.....Ya Gotta Laugh.

Read between the lines people, every time a replacement phone comes out on the market the model # also increases to a higher #. like the VX6000 now is the VX-6100 The CDM-9500 is now the CDM-9900. The T720 to the T730 is now the V710? Yes that is exactly what they did folks. They have you believing that a better phone replaced the T730 see the # skips down from a 730 to 710. Yes, Moto definitely proved this theory this is even worse than the predecessors. Funny how MOTO releases the better phones many years ago like the startac series then the Vader series which were great phones now instead of advancing, the models just keep getting worse.

I have the phone, and I have to say it is a big improvement from the t720. I don't like the way Verizon Crippled the phone, but that aside, I have to say that it is probably the best currently on the network.

Anyone else think that they are way off base with these reviews?

I have one question does the camera, still and vide, take good picture outside in the light? cause ive heard all kids of questions and complaints about the cameras.

HAHA made you look. I guess it worked cause your reading this and if Verizon is capable of selling you a problem child phone that the V710 is then I also can succeed.

Ok, I agree that people are unhappy with the 9900 phone and I made a big mistake in saying there are no unhappy 9900 users. If you look carefully there are complaints that the 9900 is out of stock with Verizon I would too be unhappy if I missed my chance on getting one of the greatest phones on the market today not to mention FREE! They can't keep thses bad boys stocked on the shelf! 🤣

Hello-

Just wondering if anyone knows if the next firmware release will beef up the camera quality. I was told by a Radioshack rep that the camera problem is a software, not hardware issue. Also, I heard from another forum that the firmware will not be released sooner than the end of November. Apparently it makes so many changes it needs to be resubmitted through the same testing process as brand new phones? Can anyone confirm any of this?

My phone has been great but a few weeks ago, my picture camera stopped working. It says "Picture Capture Failed". I tried taking the battery out and everything, but I cant get it to work. whats weird is my video camera works fine still...just the still camera.

my fried said I can just bring it back and they will replace it with a new one, is this true?

Doesn't anyone see that Verizon knows exactly what they have done? They know clear as day that there are tons of people out there that are die hard Moto fans and would pay top dollar for a Moto phone and stand by their products regardless of how many problems it may have. That is why they can charge $249 with a 2 year contract and they know people will pay that. So now, they come out with the Audiovox CDM-9900 and practically give that away why? Not because it is a piece of junk but it is one of the best phones on the market. Being a 9900 owner, I would not have paid $249 for the phone and anyone who pays $249 for ANY phone on the market has got to be high. Prices drop like flies in this industry.

I have been using the leather case but find it makes the phone to big. I have not sued the plastic holster yet. Has anyone had any problems with it falling out etc..? Thanks.

i bought my v710 the first week that it came out. my buddy bought his on saturday(10/12/04). i noticed the software version is the same. however, the cameras operated at different speeds. when holding both cameras side by side, and taking the same picture at the same time, my camera took at least twice as long to process the picture. his was pretty much instantaneous. also his picture quality was better. mine was grainy. i wonder if they made a slight hardware upgrade, or tweaked the camera.

Anyone aware of a modem script that will enable me to use my Motorola v710 as a data modem on my Apple Powerbook G4? Only can find for PCs.

I am trying to get a song from my computer on to the phone for a ringtone. I know the procedure but something is going wrong. In Itunes I convert the file into one of about 25 to 30 secs in length averaging 235 kb in size (imported a 64). The extensions are changed from mp3 to mid and then emailed via vzwpix.com. However after receiving the email/message and trying to download the files the phone says the files are too large. Previously these sizes were perfectly fine and in fact some that were larger worked (on a different v710) Has the software changed or is there a size limit now?

Ok. I hav ethe nokia multimedia player, and only once have i been able to convert a movie to 3gp and it only allowed 10 seconds of it. All other movies I try, it doesn't even give me an option of saving.

Can someone please help?

I just received my cell suit by Body Glove for the V710 directly from Fellowes today! It is MUCH nicer and better fitting than the Verizon/Moto leather case. If you still haven't found one at a local retailer go ahead and give Fellowes a call. Sweet!

I'm with AT&T as my carrier and was wondering if it's worth the wait to get a v710 from Alltel? I've heard so many things that vary greatly about this phone, would anyone change a cellular carrier to get this model?

Just recieved my hbh-660 headset today and so far I am impressed. I made 2 calls to my wifes voice mail. First using the hbh-660 and second using the m2500. The hbh 660 sounded like a land line quality call where the m2500 had more distortion. Next test will be in the car tomorrow to see how it does with background noise. Caller id in the headset is very cool also. 😁
