Motorola V710

I am getting this phone in a day or two and want to read up on the stuff i can load onto it. Can someone hlp me find a site where they teach you how to load games and mp3s onto the phone with the transflash card?

US Cellular will release the Motorola V710 on November 17th. The phone will be fully enabled, bluetooth and all.

I was at the Digital Life show at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC today and spoke with a few Motorola rep's about the disfunctional Bluetooth abilities of the V710.

All they could say is that this is all Verizon's fault and that if we want Verizon to unblock all the features, that we should all just constantly contact Verizon by email and phone and bombard them with the same complaint.

Just curious. I bought my V710 on August 11. I have never done any updates (PRI's etc) and am wondering if anyone has a different software version than me.

I have not experienced any of the troubles spoken of, well, the camera sucks for a 1.3 MP, but no lockups, all the software works etc.

I'm so mad!!!! I just got back from the verizon store... I was there for about 3 hours waiting and waiting and then arguing and arguing over nothing. First of all i was there, and the service was so slow.. it took almost 45 minutes for 2 people to get helped and for them to finally get to me.. Second of all, they were bitching at us that they couldnt make ANY changes or upgrades to our account because it is a corporate account and there was no one with authorization on the account. They wanted us to go home, type up a letter with company letterhead, fax it to them, and then drive back and get the upgrade. That took two hours to argue with them about. Ugh. Just shoot me now. 👿

It might be the most stupid question of the month, but I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer: how do I lock the keypad and all the keys, i.e. so that when the phone hangs from the holster, it doesn't turn to silent because I inadvertently touched the wrong key? Nokia has the "menu" + "*" easy way, does this phone have anything like it?

I just got my v710 and Im lovin' it so far. The speakerphone is the best I have seen on a cell phone. The camera isnt the greatest but I wont use it that much anyway. Im waiting on my hs810 headset which should be here in a day or so to use the bluetooth. The screen is huge and really nice. The earpiece volume is loud so i dont know what people were talking about when they said that it was too soft. But I do have a quick quesiton...Can you change the outside display at all? Ive looked everywhere and dont see how to do it. Anyone that has an answer it would be greatly appreciated. Any other helpful info would be great.

It's about time, it's been on backorder for the past week and a half and it was just released. it must be a really good product.

Can someone explain to me HOW Verizon can get away with DISABLING a feature on a phone already purchased? Most companies ADD features to software and the like.

Also, since I already purchased a TF card, does this give me an "out" on my contract with Verizon?

I tried out my friends audiovox 9900 last night and noticed a few things. The screen is much nicer and the camera is so much better. It was extremely dark outside and I was still able to take a decent picture. I love the V710 but I mean $250.00 compared to $50.00 for a phone that is possibly superior. Motorola is definetly wrong about this.

i ordered the body glove case straight from fellowes web site...just in case anyone was curious and i only had to order one...

Ok so I am deciding between the HS810, HS820, and the Sony HBH-660. Which one do you guys think? Pros/Cons from people who have or have used them would be great.

got a little bored and looked at the 9900 forum. believe it or not people do have problems with that phone too. some people even said verizon had already discontinued it 😳 shock,i thought it was the savior of phones.also i noticed that phantom has not posted on that forum since tue. 😲 strange.and when he did post it was to someone complaining that the 9900 had a smoking cig icon to show the phone was charging. 🤣 o well i think P-tom is just pis*** that he's stuck with his phone and not the v710.if he really even has a phone 😁

HONEST, I have searched and searched this site for Itune stuff and it isn't helping... OK I go to my song I want, then I right click it and change it to about 25 sec. I get that far but when I try to drag it to my ringtone file it isn't the short 25 sec. song it is the whole song. What am I doing wrong????

Any news on a Software Update for the V710...
Just got off the phone with VZW and was informed that there WILL NOT be any kind of software update... There will be no Bluetooth PC Support and VZW has not advertised this as a bluetooth phone... They suggested I contact Motorola on any and all issues and appologized for Motorola's false advertising...I was told that due to security issues that file transfers would not be aloud except thru get-it-now... I was also informed by the dumb ass that future phones with trans flash cards will have any kind of file transfer disabled.. That I could only transfer pics and video thru get it now applications or vzpixs... I was told that I was one of the lucky few that can tranfer files thru the trans...

Yes, I admit, it does what it is supposed to do. It makes and receives calls! Everything else sucks especially the so called 1.2 MP camera! And all you suckers paid $249 for this over sized plastic garbage? Your better off getting yourself self a FREE LG3200 which has the same quality or even better sounding speaker phone than that of the 710 and yet you get lots more standby and talk times than the to boot! 😁 Oh I know but it's not blue-tooth. Such a shame. I rather have a corded headset that I will not have to worry about dying on me during a call if I forget to charge it! And did you actually see those freaks walkin around with the blue-tooth headset sticking outta there ear? Gotta laugh! 🤣 🤣 🤣
