Motorola V710

Okay, I think I am losing it!! I have the USB cable, I have the phone, I have the mobile phone tools from Motorola downloaded for $29.00. I can not get the phone to communicate with the software. I keep seeing initializing. What am I missing, besides my brain?

The V710 is the best Motorola phone I've seen, but it's not perfect. There are two things that could make the phone the best phone depending when or if there is a ROM Upgrade.

The first bug, The Bluetooth function of the phone will only connect to accessories, not to Bluetooth network cards or PDAs. They probably did this to make you purchase the Trans Flash Card.

And the other bug is the speaker phone, it cannot be activated during a phone conversation. The speaker phone must be activated through the voice recorder option and the phone will say "speaker phone On". From this point you can than make or receive a call using the speaker phone.

Rumors of the ROM upgrade is possible in November, but does anyone know this for a FACT?

Why is it that every time I put a song or image in the correlating folders on my computer then try to bring them up in the v710, the phone locks up. Yet when I take pictures with the phone and save them to the sdisk they appear fine. Is my card reader bad or is there something wrong with the phone? I have seen other with this problem. Any help...Please. 😕

if you really think about it you cant put MP3's on the phone..only midi files, so in fact motorola lied when saying it was an "mp3 player"..anyone have any thoughts on this subject

I just got the mem card and usb reader and i can transfer the pix to it but how do i transfer my mpegs?

Has anyone had any trouble recently logging onto the web browser using the Yahoo WAP settings?

It used to work fine but im wondering if Verizon finally caught on and disabled the connection.

OK I got a 128mb Sandisk Transflash card today. I powered off the phone and plugged it in.

Powered it back on and tried to format the card from the phone. It tries for a second, then says "Format Failed. Try Again?"

I can put the card into the SD adapter and put it in my laptop and see that it is formated FAT with 120mb available.

I have tried powering off the phone, pulling the battery, reseating the card, ...

I still get "Format Failed. Try Again?"

Anyone have a suggestion?

what's up man. you seem to be pretty on point with your messages and responses, so answer this for me. Why are my mp3 ringtones playing so low and when will they upgrade the firmware to make it louder. the moto 730 for nextel plays like a jukebox and the whole world can hear the tones

Are e-mail messages that are forwarded to the phone considered text messages or picture messages? I would like to forward emails sent to my work email address to my phone but only if they are considered text messages.

I was using this site with my old v400 and i just got my 710 yesterday so i wanted toi send pics/ringtones to my new phone. It says it supports verizon/710 and so i started sending stuff, but after a while it just stopped working and now i cant transfer stuff. Anyone know how to fix that, or if there is a site like that that is geared more for verizon?

I sent my pix and videos to my computer(before I had the tf card)when I had to exchange my 710.Is there a way to transfer those to the tf card I now have w/o sending them thru e-mail?Thanks AGAIN!

I'm still not having any luck transferring my friggin videos from that tiny-ass tf to my freakin computer! the pictures came right up using the card reader but I can't find those videos.Any help would be much appreciated!
