Motorola MPx220

Twice yesterday, I went to dial my voicemail by pressing and holding the "1" key and the phone instead dialed "000000000000". I received the proper phone number to reset it to from Cingular tech support, changed it back and it worked, but then it reset to zeros again.

Anyone else having this problem? v1.3 MPx220 phone ordered from Cingular phone sales. It's not difficult to change back to the proper number, but it's annoying and shouldn't be doing this.

I'm also getting occasional issues whereby the phone either won't answer a call or won't place a call, claiming it can't dial, etc...

as an mpx220 user for about 3 weeks (i anxiously awaited this phone for several months), i'm as frustrated as ever with some of the mpx220's quirks. when in cingular yesterday, the guys there told me the few people who've purchased the mpx220 from them have returned the phones. they suggested the motorola v551 to meet my needs as a cell phone and pda that syncs with ms outlook. anyone out there familiar with the v551 and if so, how does it compare to my beloved but soon to be departed mpx220?

I want to buy any one of these two phones, where is the lowest possible price for these phones? I think SMT5600 is better, but if I can't find it from a good retailer, I'll go for MPx220. I want to get the phone to be delivered on Monday!

can't get my windows media player to work think something was deleted can anyone tell me how to reset it or fix it ? it comes up as file can't be found . help please . thanks gary

I'm looking to buy the Moto MPX 220 - has anyone gotten this from wirefly or any other online stores? Wirefly has it for free, where Cingular has it for 300. Does it make a difference? Limitations?

how do i set up to have all calls forwarded to my voice mail directly? can i do some setting in my "meeting" profile?

Does anyone know how to set up an unlocked mpx220 to work on t-mobile t zones? I tried 4 times with 4 diffrent service rep. and we cant get it to work. the phone works and i can send and recivie texts. If anyone has the settings could u send them to me please. Also I was told that maybe only the phone part was unlocked and not the data can this be true?

alright i may sound dumb but i just got my mpx220 recently and saw a bunch of posts about homeskins....what are they where do you get them and how are they installed.....if i can find out where you get them from i'm sure i can read other posts to find out how they are installed...but thank you

I have my listings in my PDA and Outlook on my PC by first names. Much easier for me to remember.

Is there a way to do that with the MPx220? I looked in options and there is no such function. The reps didn't know much about the telephone and couldn't find anything for that feature.

Any other telephone I have had, I could do this with no problem. All were Sony Ericcsons and I loved them. However, now I want a flip phone with blue tooth, sync capability, don't care about a camera, but they come with it apparently when you have blue tooth and if I am using a regular headset, I don't want to have to use an attachment! I just wanted to see if anyone has run into this problem. My girlfriend has the Mpx220 and when I talk to her she sounds very very low. I can barely hear her. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Does anyone know how to set up the MPx 220 as modem for the IPAC 2215 and the settings in the IPAC 2215?

does this phone not have an alarm clock? and if it does how do you turn it on and make it ring and vibrate at the same time...

1: is ther a way to have the exterior LCD on all the time but not have the interior on?.

2: Is there a way to get rid of the time and date on the exterior LCD?

This happens at least 4 times a day. And when I try to turn on the phone after, it takes a couple tries to make the thing fire up. Anyone have the same problem?

Got the phone recently and love it. Typical issues that i've seen listed here, but it's still very powerful.

The 1st ring is louder than the rest and volume is a little low (same w/ speakerphone).

Has anyone else:

Had a time when the phone seemed to get 'stuck' the audio playing continued and the buttons were slow to cause the appropriate response. any ideas?

Had the no service icon stay up but can make/receive calls & mssgs? Just started after a week or 2 of use.

Had the external display go blank regardless of never timeout settings.

I'm still learning on it, but any help would be great.

I am thinking of buying an mpx220 and wondering. Can I send pics and video through the network to others, or just as an attachment?? Thanks.

Just thought I would pass along something that worked for me trying to set up my outgoing server. Even Cingular, after about 10 hours and as many techs. could not come up with an answer. I used "smtp.comcast.net:425" The 425 is the "port" Comcast said I would have to change to. I did and it worked. I would be interested to know if this solves someone elses problem regarding sending email.
