trying to get a new phone help!!!

Hi, I’m checking yours reviews about the new phones of Vzn they are very helpful 😁 but anyways, I want a nice phone not too big and with a speaker also and many features, so I still (in despite of the bad comments) may get a Moto 710 cause seems to be that is the only one that is going to let me have my own mp3 ringtones and pictures without the annoying "get it now" and without USB cables that may be difficult to use(how do I download MP3 to the LG800??). I really wanted the CDM8940 but seems to be that the mini SD is crippled and then almost useless right??
Some ideas, some help guys is two years of agreement and more that 200 bucks moto 710, CDM8940 or the LG 8000. I want to know also if the mp3 player in the Moto is Stereo somebody sai...

Picture Help

I have a few quetions about pictures...

1. What are the adjustments on the outside near the lens? (The flower and the person)

2. How can I make the pics better quality? I have it at the highest resolution and set to fine quality, but the pics dont look that good. Also, when I view the pics on vzwpix.com they are not at 1280x960 like I have it set to on the camera.

Thanks

Would I be crazy to pay for 8000 over 4500 if I don't care about camera or Vcast?

My old phone broke yesterday so today I went over to Verizon to buy a new one. I wasn't going to be eligible for any kind of discount until March so I knew I'd have to pay full price. The main thing that I cared about was getting a good speakerphone. I'd pretty much decided on the 4500 because I have a great, tiny digital camera that I already carry around with me anyway so I don't need the camera feature. While I was waiting to be helped I checked out the 8000 and noticed that it seemed to have a great speakerphone. I couldn't check out the 4500's speakerphone because it wasn't activated. But I did the sensible thing and decided to get the 4500. The guy was ringing it up when I had Buyer's Remorse #1, thinking about that great speake...

LOW EARPIECE VOLUME - ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

I have had my 8000 for 24 hours and all functions work as promised (incl. VCAST). My only problem is that the earpiece volume is very low even when at the highest setting. It is hard to hear the other person when walking around in the City. I found the sweetspot, but it still seems lower than it should be. Plus, I have above-average hearing so it seems like it could be a defective phone?

Has anyone else experienced this? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Tether or Not

Ordered the vx8000 (store was out) but talked with the CSR specifically about linking to my laptop with it. He stated flatly that the cable would be out in about 30 days, that our area (Charlotte, NC) would be soon getting the 500kps speed and that right now it was about 80kps typically.
Now I am reading all these threads and fear that tethering will be disabled on this phone. Anyone know for sure yes or no? Anyone actually using this new phone as a modem with a laptop? What additional costs are associated with using the phone in this manner? Thanks.

Alert problem?

I had the 6000 before the 8000 and i loved it,i had it set up for when i received a voice mail or text and didnt here phone go off because i left phone in house while i was out working in garage all ihad to do was walk by phone and see if front screen was lit up,and then i would know if i had a call or text. The 8000 doesnt seem to do anything like that. The 6000 you could set front screen to stay on after use for 3 minutes which was good because message alert was set for 2 minutes and that kept the phone lit up all the time so i wouldnt have to actually pick it up and check it. I miss that feature, does any one have the solution or have i just not figured out how to do it on the 8000? Maybe LG made it this way to prolong battery life which I...

Memory Discrepancy - Verizon Rips Off Customers Again

I just got off the phone with VZW Customer service and also with LG Customer Service (was referred there by VZW). I was questioning the amount of memory on this phone, as LG's website states that there is 128MB Flash Memory and I can only find 52.28MB on the phone.

VZW told me that there is only supposed to be 40MB on the phone. At that point I told them that they had to be incorrect as I was finding more than that without their help. They then checked phonescoop.com as well as LG's website and they cited that it was "shared flash memory" and that I would not have access to the majority of that. We all know that is a load of BS. I called them on that and they referred me to LG immediately.

In speaking with LG Customer Service,...

3 Day mini review and I need some instruction for putting Mp3s on phone

Ok after 3 days I love this phone, yea it is kind of big but I don't mind I have big hands, no reception or droped call problems, phone is loud, loud ringers, loud volume, loud speaker.
I have not had any problems that have been discussed here (knock on wood). So while this phone is not for everyone it is deffinatly for me.
Now if some one can please tell me how to get Mp3s on the phone with a data cable I would really love it.
Thanks

went to store today got 8940

I went to the store and got the 8940 because the 8000 is way to big and a bit ugly to me. But I think BY FAR the 8000 is the best in every every every other respect. I had a 7000 and got the 8940 because I am a gadget freak. Well for the most part the 7000 is better. Way louder rings then both the other 890 and 8940. Also the 8000 has far better stock ring tones then the other phones. The GUI is also best on the LG. The camera responsiveness was better on the 7000 I had so I am sure the 8000 can only be better. If you don't mind the size and the dorky look, definitely go for the 8000 over the other phones, I say DEFINITELY. I just think the 8000 is really big and dorky looking. The other two or about the same, sleek and pretty smal...

can't save pics under highest resolution.

Just bought it today and found out that you can't save any pix if your resolution is set at 1280 x 960!

I went to the Verizon store and played with their phone and couldnt save it pix under highest resolution either.

and no, its not because a lack of memory space. I deleted all the pics and the phone has 128mb of memory.

Called verizon and they said that I was the first person to notify them of this problem.

One more thing. I dont see any difference between the portrait mode vs teh macro mode. I dont even see an indicator telling you if you are in portrait or macro.

Battery Life

How is the battery life after V-Cast use and mobile web? The extended battery and charger will cost me about $60. I would rather not spend it if I don't have to. Does the charge hold well enough?

Thank You!
