so i was checking out a few things before i bought the phone, reviews and whatnot, when i noticed somebody talking about "keeping your number"/ i clicke the tab and went to the Cingular section on that page and i read this:

Is this the version of Agile Messenger that one would need on the S710a? If so, where the heck might I find it, since its supposedly a carrier-provided app only, and I know Cingular isnt going to carry it.

Are there other options out there for a IM client that covers Yahoo and MSN at least, and doesnt get hit with the text messaging charges, similar to how Agile is done?

I loaded up mobile.msn.com in the phone and got a screen about how MSN Mobile services are coming soon. Seems like when this appeared on my Sprint phone it took about 2-3 months.

I cannot seem to sync with time matters/ palm programs. The sync seem to go through on the computer but the calendar did not appear on the phone.

I have a question about viewing received pix through MMS. I haven't been able to view any pictures my friends have sent to my phone. Do I need to change my settings on the picture scaling option or am I doing something else wrong here? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Ok, I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get the unlock code for this. I want to sell mine to someone, but they don't have Cingular. Anyone know where to get unlock codes for it?

I downloaded the SE Sync Station software and have been trying to get everything synced- it has been a mess. If I use the DCU-11 USB cable, it is obviously much faster than Bluetoothing each item, but for some reason does not transfer addresses from my contacts. Also I lose all personal photos/ringtones associated with that person when I sync.

Does anyone know of any settings to correct this? I do not mind sending contacts 1 at a time via BT, as I really don't see myself having to update a ton of people, but I would like to be able to do everything at once.

Also- is it possible to use the Bluetooth to send everything and not have to use the DCU-11 cable?
My Nokia 6230 would sync everything via BT without a hitch... even automatically ...

I was able to play .jar games I found, on my s710a, but the next day they all say "invalid application" when I try starting them.

This is weird how could they all work great then stop working the next day?

I used the memory stick and put them in the "other" folder then sent it to myself "multimedia message". The original games and applications still work.

I tried resending them and they worked again. I hope I don't have to do this everyday.
I may have to try bluetooth.

first off the expansion slot is for sony memory stick duo's right? what is the max capacity in the SE, from what i see sony sells them up to 1 GB, will the S710A accept that?

Also what is the headphone jack on the S710A? is it one that i can plug any standard headphones in?

overall hows the quality when listening to mp3's...is it decent? and also how loud is it through headphones comapared to a real mp3 player or a cd player?

Does anyone know if there are special drivers for the Memory Stick Duo/Adapter so that it will work in other card readers? My HP notebook has a built in card reader that works just fine on SD and MMC cards, but it does not recognize my Memory Stick Duo in the adapter. (my machine does accept MS products, this is just the first I have ever owned).
The MS reader included with the phone works just fine, but I would prefer to use my built-in hardware for sake of convenience.
Sony's support page is awful- too much FAQ and not enough actual help.
Has anyone else had difficulty getting the MS to read in their other, non-Sony, card readers?

Can anyone tell me if they've had problems losing connection with their bluetooth headset and then cannot reconnect??? What is the problem? Problems are starting to mount on this phone this past two weeks. Can anyone tell me?

A few days ago I programed my phone to be a wireless mouse for my coworker's laptop when he wasn't around. The past few days I've been moving his cursor around while on the other side of the office. It is HILARIOUS to watch him shake his mouse! 🤣

When using your bluetooth headset when making a phone call, is there a way you can turn off that notification of "Retrieve phone call through phone? Yes or NO"

It's annoying having to keeping hitting "no" everytime you make a phone call.
