Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

Does this phone seriously not have T9 Word? This phone has the dumbest options like checking battery power and signal strength using voice command, but no T9 Word? How gay is that.

I have the 8100 (having owned 4 LG's total, 2 were excellent and 2 weren't) that when the 8100 came out I thought it would be great, I was mistaken.

Long story short version-- D.C. requires you to be on headset or hands-free device while driving. Yesterday, I couldn't hear the party calling me when I had it on speaker phone and the voice commands on bluetooth kept coming up with other options (I'd ask for Home and it would ask if I wanted to call Voicemail). I've also had the phone reset itself a couple of times.

What I want to know is how is the Bluetooth feature on the E815- does it recognize commands correctly, is it clear when calling or is there a lot of static, etc.

The other question is- how good is the speaker phone- nice ...

I'm not particularly impressed with the reception on my e815, especially after reading so many reviews about how wonderful the reception is. Frankly, I'm not sure it's getting any better reception than my LG 3200. The sound quality is definitely better. And I'll probably keep it because using the bluetooth headset with it gives good enough reception.

But the reception just doesn't seem any better in my room. I'll call verizon customer service and listen to the recording, and different words periodically drop out, just like with the 3200. I had someone tell me I was cutting out on them today. And this is the 3rd e815 I've tried, so it's not a broken phone.

So im curious, my friend has a 128mb transflash card and can record 3 minutes of video at one time. Do you know what the longest video you can do at one time with a 256mb or a 512mb card.
If someone could help me out i would appreciate it

with my old LG 4500 I could just hit the side button....once to silence the incoming ring and a second time to put the call directly into voice mail....is there a way to put an incoming call directly into voicemail?

I have read most threads and I cannot find an answer to this. Every attached file I try to download as an attachment gives me the following message: "unable to download message 1. Try again later" The file I'm trying now is 9kb. The file does not play and it won't download.

Is there a setting I'm missing

Reception is much nicer-- I was in the Verizon store today and noticed that the 815 had 4 bars of reception while my 8100 was only showing 2 and when I called a friend, the call was much clearer and louder. I also like the main display screen- I can actually read it.

When the tech gave me the 815 there was an orange sticker on the front that said to press some keys to see what the 815 can do, but he peeled that off. Does anyone have the instructions to start the demo?

can anyone tell me if there is a way to edit the main screen so that "Verizon Wireless" is not seen nor "speakerphone on" so that I can enjoy a picture of my son uncluttered?

Once you connect a USB cable, how do you drag or send the pictures you want from your digital camera to your phone and place it the folder with the pictures that came with the phone??

Ive been looking through this forum for a while a and i haven't seen anything on this, So maybe some one can help. I was attempting to check my voicemail on my e815 and i was able to get to the prompt where it asks for your password. I kept typing it in and i would recognize it. I tried calling from other phones and i was able to get to it without a problem. finally i figured out that my DTMF in my Initial Setup was off and i turned it on to short and i was able to get to my voice mail. My question is What is DTMF and and why can it not be off in order to dial my password for my voicemail?? Also is this a fluke in my phone or is this a problem that everyone has. Thanks ahead of time!

😉 You know one of the reasons I liked the LG 8100 was because it felt solid, tight, and like it would stand the test of time. I don't so much get that same impression from the E815 but after examining it I think I might be better off than I've been thinking. I notice when I hold it and do stuff with it it "creaks" a little more than I'd like. But isn't the phone designed to accommodate an inter-changeable outer shell that Motorola is due to come out with in the near future? I thought I heard that somewhere. Does anyone else get the same impression or have thoughts concerning how much abuse this phone can take?

We have 2 phones. With my NE2, if I go with the E815, the 2nd phone is eligible for for a free moto flip phone.
= My question is: Can we just take the 2nd free phone WITHOUT ACTIVATING IT?
= Also, IF we do activate the 2nd phone and don't like it, can we ask Verizon to re-activate the old phone FOR FREE??

Anyone know where I can find some online ringtones compatible to the E815. Hopefully free but anyways...any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been looking at all the reviews and Lg people just cant stand that MoTo got over on this one, I mean come on lets be fair the 8100 cant compete with the 815..

I have taken a few shot video's from my E815 . I used me trans-flash card to transfer them to my computer . How do I get my computer to play them ? the format the video's are in is .3g2

I have a windows based computer with Realplayer 10.5, Windows media player 9.0, and Quicktime player 6.5. None of these programs will play my video's ☹️

Paired my new Scala and it sounds like crap regardless of where volume is. Called them, they are closed. Very static when some talks but quiet in between words, like the speaker is shot or low quality.

I read here that they sound great! what luck I'm having with this phone and accessories.

I know a lot of people have been having problems with Verizon's customer service and with their phone. A lot of people have been complaining about their services, but I gotta tell you, my experience resigning my contract with them was nothing but good.

I bought an E815 a little over a week ago. When I first got it, i sent a few ringtones to my phone as picture messages on funformobile.com. Well, I didn't notice at first because of my dark background, but my phone had about half a dozen dead pixels on the screen. Being afraid of what the screen may look like in 2 years since dead pixels tend to branch out, I decided to get a new phone since I was still in my 15 days.

Well, lucky me, the E815 was sold out at my two nearest stores and...
