Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

i am having a lot of trouble getting my e815 synced up with my pc...i have MPT to its most current version, downloaded the correect drivers and stil nothing...i load up the default profile and it finds my phone and it than asks me to select device, so i select motorola modem than hit next and then i click next to find driver and it says modem is in use...so i hit next and it nrings up a menu for cdma, tdma and gsm...i click cdma and nothing is there...what am i doing wrong?

I am having problems with the alarm on the phone. Once the alarm is set, if I receive a text message and don't read the text message, the alarm will not go off. The alarm will not turn on until I check the text message. I've contacted both Motorola and Verizon and neither seem to know what to do. Does anyone know what to do?

I just got my E815 and already have a Bluetooth adapter. I saw that in order to get ALL the features of Bluetooth enabled, I need to do a seam edit, but WITH a data cable first in order to get the full capabilities of Bluetooth (PST only seems to work with a data cable anyway from what I see). (Right now, MPT only gives me the option of editing/synching my contacts and calendar). If I do get a data cable, can I do file transfers (camera pics, wallpapers, MP3s, etc.) WITHOUT having to do a seam edit?

I really don't need DUN, but would like to have the other options available. I don't mind if it has to be done with a data cable or Bluetooth, as long as I can avoid seam editing if at all possible.

I can't seem to get MPT to find my phone, nothing works. What gives?

I love this phone but I have returned it twice. Both the times I had problems with Video recording and again with my third one I have the same issue. The mesaage I get when I hit the "Capture" button is "System Error". Please help me out to solve this issue.

i tried updating my phone tools from 3.11 but everytime i hit update it takes me to a webpage to update to deluxe...is my version a trial and is that why i need to up grade or am i doing somehting wrong...please help

Hi I am a recent convert from Nokia to Motorola and there is one item on the Nokia menus that I cannot find on the Motorols phones #@!?

I used to be able to store a calling card inside the phone and when dialing international (by pressing down on the #), the calling card feature would come up and then I would hit go and the call would be made.

Does anyone know if Motorola offers this feature ?

Can anyone give me the reason why I can't purchase the e815 in my area? The verizon stores tell me it can only be purchased in the big cities such as Chicago and such. I realize blue tooth is not available in my area either(wi), but that doesn't matter to me. I just want the phone before they jack up the price.
The verizon stores cannot get the phone yet here, as I said. I also cannot get it over the verizon website due to the same reason. They ask for your zip code.

I don't know where my phone saves my videos. I know it saves because it takes up memory. Every time I go to my media gallery and to my videos, they aren't there, it only shows "new video", none of the ones I saved are there. Where are my videos? Please help, thanks.

is there a recommended place to buy the current (3/25) vers of phone tools? i would need the USB cable as well, so i assume I should buy the package? but...i've also seen it come w/o the cable but with a bluetooth atachment. would this be better given i'd be using it with the e815? or is just more expensive and not really worth it? thanks in advance

I have had my E815 for more than 2 weeks and I am disappointed in the quality of the phone while talking. I don't get a full echo but I hear myself while talking on the phone.
Is there a setting I am missing to turn down the microphone or feedback for the phone. I have a Jabra 250V that works great and because of this problem I prefer to talk with it than into the actual phone.

Does the swivel holster for the V710 fit on the E815. Right now i'm using the leather case from verizon. I dont like it b/c it makes it too bulky. I'm used to the plastic holster. Thanks.

what stores sell them? best buy, circuit city, verizon wireless stores...? i didn't see any in the vw stores around me. i'd like to avoid ebay.

I am wondering should i buy a stereo headset to listen to mp3 on my phone or can i buy a bluetooth stereo headset? I want a bluetooth stereo headset , can someone tell me if the e815 supports bluetooth stereo headset or not.

On the E815 can you do any of the following and if you can provide threads on how to do this that would be great.

1. Play MP3, upload mp3 by sync or trans card.

2. sync with pc via bluetooth

3. where does trans flash card go into on phone?

4. transfer files, like pictures and address book?

5. Do I need special software to do the above?

We will start with this. Have 8100 am very disgusted with it. 2nd phone ringer does not work, no one can hear me and volume on earpierce continually fluctuates. Thinking of changing phones altogether but don't want to jump from frying pan to fire if you know what I mean. Thanks for any help.

someone tell me my information is incorrect...does this phone REALLY not come with a belt clip?......if that is true, how cheap are these vendors these days????

I looked in the owners manual and I didn't see that it mentioned this feature. I am I right in saying that the E815 doesn't have Air-Plane Mode? Because it would be great to have that feature for flights. Please someone tell me that I am wrong....

new e815 arrived today I transfered pics from TF card to new 815 for some reason I cannot get the assigned to contacts help also can I transfer ringtones from 710 to 815 using the tf card thanks

I would like to buy the E815 for the BT feature for my car which I will have delivered in Nov. Can I assume this will be THE BT phone for a while or as will it be obsolete come November with a newer model? 😕
