Motorola E815 / E816 Hollywood

This is for anyone who has ordered their phone from the verizonwireless.com online store and has recently received their phone. Did the phone you receive have any problems? Should I order my phone online because there are not any retailers selling this phone in my area because there is a potential bug problem and they have to hold it for 40 days. Thanks.

When I copy some mp3 files from my Presariox1000 notebook to a Sandisk 256mb transflash, it will freeze the computer.

It only happens with some files, not all. Happened with 2 different, brand new cards.
I renamed one file, and it copied fine.
I thought I figured it out, but I renamed another file, and BAM! Computer freeze.

The file will be playable from the phone, even if it froze the computer while copying. Some of the files though will freeze the phone right where the copy freeze occurred.

Weird. Anyone else with this problem?

Is it worth while to spend the extra 50.00 for Verizon's Accessory pack?

Anybody know where you can download cellphone games for free so that they will work on the e815???

When trying to contact by saying number the phone repeats that number very fast. Unless I stop to look at it on the screen I can't confirm.

Verizon customer service heard the phone repeat and agreed it was extremely fast. He reported it to Motorola. However he noted that Motorola said this was their first report of this problem.

Can't find any way to slow down the E815's voice as it repeats the entered number. Any suggestions?

Am thinking of buying this phone, my lg 6100 died and Verizon is allowing me to buy a new phone under a promotional rate. I do some travelling with my mac and was wondering if I can use this phone via bluetooth as a moodem like I could with my lg (through usb) or has this been crippled as well?

I have read that these phones are basically the same except for the streaming video and evdo (both of which I wont use). Which should I get? HELP!

I have followed the directions listed on this site about using mp3s as ring tones and I still can not figure it out. I have tried walmart ringtones sent through my email and through fun for mobile. As soon as my phone receives the message it will not allow me to download it. Or it receives the message but nothing is playing. Can some please help me figure this out.

How on earth does the notepad on the e815 work?

It looks like it just stores numbers in the phonebook. Is it possible to write yourself a note or a memo?

After comparing and working with both the E815 is superior in many ways, especially as a phone.

You know how when you send a text message with this phone, and the message is delivered successfully, a little checkmark appears on top of the little envelope next to your message in your outbox.

Well, I send a lot of texts, and it seems that sometimes even when this checkmark isn't there, the message gets delivered. But then other times, the checkmark missing means it wasn't delivered. Do you know if this checkmark only appears when you send text messages to other Verizon customers? Or should that checkmark appear no matter carrier someone has. This isn't really that big of a deal, but I was just always curious 🙂

Hey new here. I have read a ton of the posts and am planning on getting the phone tomorrow because of all the info here. I was just curious if you could have different mp3 ringers for different callers. I think you guys get what I'm asking.

Also, how is the battery life? The guy at Verizon said to get the extended life battery, which I probably will do, but i wanted to hear what you guys have to say.

I just got my E815 as an upgrade from an old Motorola T720 (YUCK!), and so far I LOVE it!

Without costing me an arm and a leg, I'd like to be able to get pictures I take on the phone to my PC... Whether it requires me sending the pictures to PixPlace, or if I can do it via a data cable is irrelevant. I have read that you cannot connect this phone via Bluetooth to a PC or another phone - that is not an issue, I am fine with using a data cable if need be.

I signed up for the unlimited IN messaging, and for the mobileweb as I will be using both of them.

I sent an email to Verizon to find out about some other items in the IN messaging, and they noted that PixPlace was NOT included in the unlimited IN messaging.

So here's my questions...
