LG VX-8100

First off, I no longer have the 8100 nor do I have a Bluetooth headset, but I do notice that over the last 6 or 7 months I have read WAY more complaints than I have compliments about BT headsets. Some people LOVE them only to sing a new tune a week or mont later. The main reason I havent purchased one yet is that they just dont seem to work. Between this site, HoFo, and personal friends there is no way in hell I am going to waste money only to have to take a faulty product back. Just today I was speaking to someone with the e815 and all I heard was ECHO after ECHO. I guess the question I pose is why dont they just make one that costs 300 that WILL work. I would rather spend that amount of money knowing that I have a product that DEFINITELY w...

Since the 8100 has been out a long time, is LG going to have an upgrade to this model, like the 8100 was an upgrade to the 8000? I know they came out with the 9800, but I am looking for a flip phone.

OK i was checking the site for vodaphone the UK cell dealer, and while i was looking at their phones [which are amazing by the way].i noticed that typical pay as you go phones..were phone like motorola v600 and other phone where in the u.s you would half to sign a two year for...and another thing they already have the motorola v3 -3g version but there's is better ...it has 2 MEGAPIXEL CAMAERA AND VIDEO CALLING!!!!! just wondering why the video phone option hasn't gotten here yet ?apparently it's been over there for a long time]and why does the u.k get better u.s made products [the new razr with video calling for a perfect example before the country where moto is based?????] anyone wanna have thoughts on this..it bugs me a little :...

oka so ive had this phone since it was new (oct.) and i gotta tell you its changed my life a little it is the ultimate device to have my entire life is on my phone if i was ever without this thing id freak out, but ultimently im unhappy with tthe phone because of two things it DOSENT TAKE CONTINIOUS VIDEO which is bull because it has an exapandable card and takes a higher rezolution vid that you cant even send anyway i called lg and they said it was limited by the carrier(verizon) i thought that was bull because the samsung takes continous video u can never get truth out of a rep from either company the other thing is memory which isant the worst thing i had a 1 gig card in it and had trouble saving pics with it sometimes also i just bought ...

i found out that when i had first bought the 8100, i had v-cast for a month for free. found this out from the cust service reps. it would have been nice to try, atleast had the people at the store told me i had it 👿

i kno you have 2 take the phone apart to take off the antenna, but daydeal.con has flashing antennas, will it go on? if not im returning the phone for a vx5200 becouse i dont really need all the features on this phone. i dont really want the flashing part, i want the little metal thing that screws into the phone, i did this with my old vx7000(R.I.P)and i got great service and there was no antenna to worry about, i would like to do this on this one. thank you for any help.

I returned the 8100 for the 3rd time in 15 days for a number of different reasons. Did not get another. I put service back to my old moto 720. I purchased a dual battery charger which is a desktop cradle which charges a phone and second battery at the same time,it also has a LCD meter to show the status of the charge .let me know if anyone is interested in puchasing it .email me at [email protected]

I had the Jabra 120's and they already broke, so I was going to get a jack converter for my cell phone at radio shack, but they said they only had monaural converters(only sound outta one speaker). Does anyone know where to get a jack converter that outputs stereo?

Ok I've decided to try this again. can someone who uses this please give me step by step instructions on how to use this? I went to bitpin it found my phone, I went to ringers clicked on add, Now can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do next? and I mean step 1 do this, step 2 do this and so on otherwise I don't understand, this is the second time I've put this software on my computer, by the way I'm on Windows XP, and want singing ringers not Poly tones. The only MP3's I have are from ITunes. If these won't work let me now, or if there are step by step instructions on this site, this site and no other please give me that link. Sorry to sound so mean, but trying to get anyone to give the kind of help I want is like pulling ...

Anyone else having this problem also?

I upload from Bitpim using a bluetooth dongle.
Everytime I upload music aftewards my bluetooth earpiece won't answer my phone and my phone doesn't recieve calls? WTF? I don't have a clue. I fixes itself when you restart the phone but it annoys me because I forget.

Also anyone find there Bluetooth I use a H850 moto, is wishy washy, sometimes it works great, other times it has crazy static and sounds like I am at the bottom of a well.

Okay, I have searched through the old posts here, and on howardforums, but cannot find the answer. How do you capture the 30 sec. trial songs from Wal-Mart music in order to use them as ringtones? Or am I missing something? Are people buying the song for $ .88 and then making it a ringer?

This is really starting to bug me, when the phone is on Silent or vibrate only it will sometimes ring when people call (at full volume), but it doesn't always do. I would say that it does it about 10% of the time when people call and it is on a no sound mode. Is this just a problem with the firmware? I am going to take it in to get the newest one, but has anyone else herd of this happening or have a solution? It is very frustrating especially during class. Thanks

Havent noticed but has anybody used them, I was not able to get them to work, Motorola said they shuld work, Verizon Customer Service said they should work, but a Tech. at a store said they don't work.

I currently have Verizonwireless. I'm looking to upgrade my phone (New every two). I also have the new Intel iMac with built-in Bluetooth. Does anyone know if either the Motorola RAZR V3C or LG VX-8100 will sync (using Bluetooth) with the built-in address book on the iMac using iSync. Thanks in-advance! j_skronek

When the phone was on random, while playing mp3's, it used to play loud static instead of the intended ringer when someone called. After the update (from v4 to v7) NO MORE STATIC 😁 😁 it just plays the ringer as i wanted it to do. Anyone else notice or am i just lucky?
Btw, the static issue while on random was talked about a while back if anyone remembers, just wanted to see if i was the only one who experienced the 'fix'.

I'm sorry if this question is a little "crazy" or "stupid" but I don't know if this is true or not cause I do not have V-Cast where I live... BUT:

Do you HAVE to have V-Cast to sign up or get the new V-Cast Music Download Service OR does it work just like downloading ringtones regularly without HighSpeed Service like EV-DO?

The reason I ask, and if the answer is YES, then I ask, if someone can agree with me, is WHY do you need V-CAST for this service? I mean, why advertise a service like this everywhere if everyone can't get it or ever have access to it? Cause I am really interested in V-CAST but it is impossible to get V-CAST where I am unless I travel at least 50+++ miles to get near it...

I'll make this quick: I use VZW's Mobile Web (or W.W. -Wireless Web-) and it's getting to a point where some things are just bothering the hell outta me.

I contstantly use it to go online to check things like my e-mail at Yahoo! and MSN. It's beggining to bother me because I'm sick of using it looking at text-only emails. Why can't I use or see HTML emails on my phone and is there ANY way around it?

I also can no longer sign in to Yahoo! 360 on my phone due to a "Untrusted Server Certificate" Error that I get on my phone now, EVEN THOUGH it never used to do that before.

Also, is there ANY way or will there be ANY way to select or download pics on your phone while online? I mean, I know it's...

i just got this phone yesterday and i know all the things about it.

***people say that you cant use the keys on the front screen for mp3-well YOU CAN alll you do is hold down the play button for 6 seconds and it turns on your songs. the other keys on the font you can chage your songs with.

*** you can turn off the rainbow lights-go to settings/tools hen display then status light and they can be turned off or on.

***you can view texts on the front screen and scroll down with the keys on the front.
*** the speekers on the outside are wonderful!!!

Has anybody else lost the ability to play mp3's as ringtones after they received the update??

I used bitpim to load the mp3's as ringtones with my mini sd card with no problems. Then I got the update two day's ago and lost the ability to play the ringtones. I noticed that the icon that preceded the ring changed to a gold bell and square, same as the preloaded ringtones...just gold. Checked the info of the files and they show Byte. On bitpim it shows that there is data there. They play on the mp3 player but not as ringtones. Can anyone help??
