LG VX-8100

Do you think that verizon will ever allow the 8100 to be used as an evdo modem for use with a laptop

just got my phone flashed with v.07 and it works great. the only thing my phone lost were the games on gin. my pics and flix and everything else stayed the same. also my phone is not in extended network or have the flashing triangle. its in the normal mode. and your still able to get to your mp3s with the outer buttons. go to settings and tools, select tools, select shortcut key, select play key and then select my mp3s. and there it is. close the phone and hold play.

What is the normal cost for a usb bluetooth??

is mobile web free on nights/weekends?

1) (This is the most important of the four) If I buy the $30 cable from Verizon, it will transfer MP3's. But will it let me take my PIX and FLIX off of the phone? Will it let me use BitPim?

2) If not, is there a cable that does all of the above?

3) Without a cable, is there an easy way to transfer pix off of the phone without paying 25 cents each?

4) Finally, and completely separately, does the battery charge more quickly when it is turned off? I always turn the phone off when charging to minimize charge time. Is this an issue? And if I charge it before it is out of juice will it minimize battery life?

i am new to the lg vx 8100 and i have version 4 right now and i wanna upgrade. could someone let me know what i should upgrade too. i want to keep my mp3 player too. let me know what you guys think and what would be the best upgrade and how to get an upgrade. thanks a lot! 😁

Can someone explain the headphone situation? I reccently purcharsed the 8100 for my wife - mainly because she needed a new phone, and wanted an mp3 player that she could use while working out - so I figured a the 8100 was a good fit.

So far the phone is great, thanks to posts on this forum, got mp3's playing pretty much right away - went down to Radio Shack, bought a $4 3.5mm -> 2.5mm (regular stereo headphones -> 2.5mm) adapter, but only get audio out of the right ear? I've found other posts like this:

on this forum which imply that you have to have headphones meant for use with mobile phones? Can anyone verify this and/or explain?

i was wondering if i could use my mp3 player with out a memory card? i have the data cable and it works fine ive transfeered ringtones and pictures fine but i was wondering how i get real mp3's on my phone?

Help if you can... This worked great BUT!! If my phone restarts there still on the phone but I can not play or use them until I upload them again using bitpim. Am I doing something wrong? Can anyone help?

Hi, I asked this question earlier, but didn't quite get the answer I was looking for. Could some please give me step by step instructions on how to use Bitpim please? I downloaded the software, and when I clicked on the link for ring tones I didn't find any, all I saw was a blank page with a musical note on it, where are the tones 😕

First of all I know I need to take the card out, before the update . What else needs to be done ? Can someone update me with correct process in updating my phone to v07.
Most important to me is camera delay and volume control.
That is the only reason I am doing this update.

When I upgrade to v07 , first I take the mini sd card out of phone then flash it . All the songs on my mini sd card are mp3s will they still work with my player once I do the work around to get mp3 player working again ?

👿 Is LG ever going to release their bluetooth headset! I have tried multiple differnet models and they all suck in their own way. My cheap crappy scala headset is crystal clear on my 815 and recognizes all my voice commands, but the lg is all about static and echo problems and don't even try to use voice command. I have tried multiple moto headset, jabra, and scala. I love lg and hate moto, but come on they already cripled bluetooth at leaste the profile that works could work good. Ok end rant

I can't find the equalizer when playing .wma files, after getting the V07 upgrade. It's still there when I play mp3's. I didn't see any other mention of this here. It's not really a big deal to me, just interesting. Anyone else know about this?

Has anyone else noticed that alot of the games and ringtone apps are now gone with V07. I just replaced my phone because of the volume problem and I was told that i could download the old games i had on my phone before...the problem is they dont show up...

Hey guys I am new to this, but can someone tell me which version or mirror of bitpim do I download?

If I buy a 3rd party USB data cable (it does specifically say it works with the vx8100) and I already have VCAST music and Windows 10 on my PC (not from VZW essentials kit), will I need a driver for the PC and Windows 10 to recognize the phone when I plug in? I am waiting for the cable to arrive in the mail, but debating just getting the essentials kit if I will need a driver anyway. Any advice and insight is appreciated. Thanks!
