Using the latest BitPim version 0.8.07.
You can drag and drop your Favorite photo
to "wallpaper". It can automatic down sample
to fit the phone display, but still in very
high display quality. I try 2M and 3M pixel jpg
picture, it turns out in very decent result. 🤣

But since your photo's ratio may be match
to your phone, you need to select the window
portion to display.

Hey everyone. I searched and found answers to my question but they were confusing. Does anyone know where I can find (or can anyone tell me) how to put video on my phone? Can I play a, lets say 25 minute video on my phone? I have a 1 gb mini sd card and thats all I know. Thanks, Brent

New user wondering if there's a way to change the start page in Mobile Web...would like it to go directly to hotmail. I've searched the forum without success.

verizon will be selling a charging sync cradle for the 8100. it comes with the power supply but the data cable is separate. i believe it's going for 30 which is the same as the standard travel charger. it's a stand up style cradle. verizon is also selling a music essentials bundle for 30 that includes the usb cable, software(windows media player 10 - for music transfers only as far as i know), and a stereo headset. these same items are also available for the samsung a950.

it doesn't look like they'll be stocking the cradles in stores, at least not at first, but they can be ordered at the stores and online.

I just wanted to know what exactly is Vcast music, if there is already Get it Now music why this, I thought it might be like a satalite radio on your phone. Don't know what does this service do exactly. Thanks

Today, after reading this forum, asking many questions and getting much help, I decided to finally invest in the stuff required for VCast Music. More importantly, I wanted WMA's on my phone; I have no mp3's on my computer.

I bought the memory card and the Music Essentials kit. Then I went to get my phone updated, came back later (talking about 2 hours) and found they hadn't updated my phone.

I alerted them that it still had V04, and they told me that was the highest version they have. They don't have V07, and there's nothing they can do.

What can I do to get the new software on my phone? I'm in New York if this helps.

I have now tried 4 different b/t products on this phone and get complaints from all my callers static, noise , echo , feed back etc.
Jabra 500BT- 350, moto 300 series I think, 640 plant. discovery. All have failed to either work incorrectly or sound somewhat unreasonable to my callers.

I don't really have the time to keep returning these products over and over again to find one that works. Very Very Frustrating. Just about ready to give up ...

I am about to get this phone tomorow. i was deciding between this one or the samsung a 950 but i think im gonna go with this one.

Anyways, do you need a "memory card" if you just want to get those 30 sec walmart.com clips as ringtones? And how would i go about doing that? I know it has something to do with bitpim. Would i need to buy a cable to do this (if so how much is it?)

I enable the Mp3 function and add the
"play" to the shortcut according to the discussion in the forum. Smile

Now My questions are

1. How do I view the song(Mp3) list or
delete a song in my mini SD card using
the phone menu?

2. What directory and format should I put
my Mp3 to the Mini-sd card?

3. Is there anyway to access these files in
mini-sd without take out the card instead
just using the usb cable.

4. Anybody use the new "Sync Music"
function to transfer music from PC?

First of all, I want to thank you all for all your help. Since discovering this forum I have learned a lot about my phone and I love it. Second, I want to upload some pics from my computer to my phone to use in the caller id, but when I tried to do this on my vx6000 it totally screwed it up. Does anyone know if it's safe to do this on the 8100 and if so, how? Thanks in advance.

I just bought my usb cable off Ebay but the driver CD they sent is giving me errors and not downloading properly. I poked around LG's website today but could not find the drivers available to download. Does anyone have it? Can you please email it to me at [email protected]. Thanx! 🙂

I currently have my phone paired up with my vehicle via Uconnect. Whenever I receive a call, I hear ringing from both my phone and from Uconnect.

On page 56 of the manual, there is a section on "Transfering Audio". It says that when a Bluetooth audio device is connected, "Use Bluetooth/Use Phone" is displayed in the options menu for call state. It also says I can select either use bluetooth or use phone.

I am not sure what it means by "call state". I would like to set my phone so that I only hear sounds from Uconnect when I am in my car. Does anyone know how to get to that "transfering audio" option so I can select "use bluetooth"?
