LG V VX-9800

i've been using the imtoo program to convert all my movies to .3gp format.. the quality is great and all, but the problem is.... when i maximize the screen size while watching the movie it gets fuzzy, but its fine when i don't maximize it.... is there a way to make the video size bigger when i use the imtoo program to convert my movie files??? i can only make the video size 176x144. if i try to change the size i get a fail message and cannot convert the movie file... am i don't something wrong??? or did i just get a bad imtoo conversion program??/ any help will be appreciated. thanks.

This question is directed to those who use the leather flip style case for the VX9800 from GetAtoZ off of E-Bay.

I got my case about a week ago and put it on -- really nice case and I like it.

Problem is since I put it on I have been experiencing a lockup on the inside keyboard after about an hour or two -- have to power the phone off and on to recover -- outside keyboard does not lock up.

Took the case off a day or so ago -- have not had a single case of keyboard lockup since.

I plan on waiting another day or so and trying the case again to see if the problem reoccurs.

Have any of you using the leather case had any similar problems?

I really like the case but if this pattern continues I definitely won't be using it.

I imported my Outlook calendar into bitpim and in the calendar settings I disabled all alarms on impoted entries. But when I load the info onto my 9800 all of the alarms are enabled. Is there a way to have them disabled when they are transferred to my phone? Thanks.

hey, i'm switching from my 8100 to the 9800 mainly for the full keypad. most of my accessories will work as far as car charger and data cable but the battery is different. i already ordered the phone and a spare battery(trust me having two batteries is so worth it) but i can't find a battery only wall charger like i have for my 8100. anyone ever seen one? thanks

Can I set certain ringtones to specific people in my phone book? I saw on this website that it doesnt. Is that true? Also In a review on another phone site it was said that i can not put MP3s on to my extended memory card only on my internal memory. Is this true? 😕

hi folks, I was at the verizon store today and noticed that when I used their 9800 that the bottom bar was green on their Mobile Web 2 browser. Mine is blue. Is there a new version of the browser? thanks, S

I can currently hook my phone up through a data cable and dial out for free. If I get this new phone (9800) they said I have to pay $60 a month to do that! Ridiculous! 😲 😳 Is there anyway I can get a data cable and do the internet on a pc for free? Thanks

I totally agree with you. My phone did the same thing. It worked great for a little over a month and it froze on me while texting. It wouldn't power back on. I lost everything. Everyone of my customers appointments, numbers, orders. I went through 3 new phones. A new one everyday for 3 days staright. As soon as I powered them on it was broke. What a joke. And its too bad because I loved this phone.

Those of you that have this phone can you surf the web with no problems? I currently have SORRY Nextel (I WILL be changing to Verizon very soon!!!!) but anyway, I want to know that I will be able to pull up the same websites I would if I was on a desktop or had a PDA. Someone on here mentioned something about www.myspace.com, is that accessible? When I try to pull that site up on my nextel it takes forever. Also for the V-cast where can I find a listing of all the channels that offer video clips to watch? I didnt get to flip through all the channels when I was in the store the other day. Is there a list online?

i like that this has a keyboard and the stereo speakers but i like that the e815 is smaller.

i also like that this has the verizon standard menu becasue i am used to it with my 8000. the mini sd vs the micro sd/transflash duzent bother me either way.

one question tho for clarification. what is the largest the mini sd can hold and what is the largest micro sd/transflash hold? 🙄

I looked through the forums and saw quite a bit of info of using BITPIM to make new ringtones. My question is, on my old phone I was able to e-mail the phone with midi files the I was able to set them as ringtones, is it possible to set saved sound files as ringtones or has VZON disabled that "feature"

I am so sick of my v710 not working and me waiting for the settlement. I think I am liking this phone more and more each time I come here. I would really appreciate it if anyone that has the phone could take pictures showing the web browser as well as AOL instant messenger. Maybe even some of the other apps, perhaps a picture of a movie playing on it (from the miniSD card) just so I can see what it really looks like.

I have a feeling that the AIM is the ****ty one that is on all verizon phones. Everyone seems to like the browser though. Does it support HTML pages?

I've read alot about this upgrade, but how can you tell if Version 2 is installed on the phone already. Something under menu 0? I just got my 9800. Could it have V2 installed on it already?

I thought I read somewhere on this website that the 7000 Accessories will work with the 9800 and I mistaken?

Right now I just bought a Verizon Wireless RAZR V3c. And I already got glitches and bugs. Yeah the reviews about it are pretty true. It got the look but not a good software, and not much features. It is all compact and slick, but when it got problems who want it?

So I am asking you people if I should get a LG VX-9800, and return my RARZ?
The LG the V got alot more features and memory. And the software don't seem as bad as the Verizon RARZ.

My friends and cousins got RAZR's but from different providers, such as T-Mobile & Cingular.
But they don't seem to get any glitches that the Verizon' RARZ has...

So help me cauz I dont want to waste my money on something dumb!

I am eligable to get a new phone in a week... i want the 9800... but. im wondering if there is any other phones comin out soon that i should wait on... ihave the 8100 right now... any ideas?
