LG V VX-9800

Does anyone know of any cases on the market like this one? I like this one but I was wondering if there was one where the buttons were not under the plastic which in a way is defeating the purpose but just wondering...see the link below to see what I am talking about.

Do you have to buy one of those combo paks to get ringtones or can you just purchase them for whatever price they are?

is there a way that u can set the sounds that u record in my sounds to work as ringtones. I no you were able to do this with the 7000 and 8000 why not with this phone?

The sadest part of upgrading is that you lose the programs that you purchased for you old phone. It would be nice if Verizion would credit you for the ones you repurchase.

I thought the internet on this phone was suppose to be improved over the 7000. When I go to Verizon Mobile Web, it looks the same as it always did. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

I have the free trial of VCAST for this month and im unsure of whether or not I want to pay the 15 bux a month after the trial.

1. If I buy a VCAST game, will it still work after I get rid of VCAST if I do...

2. If it will work even if i dont subscribe to VCAST, do I get charged?

Can someone let me know what kind of data cable i need to buy so i can transfer ringtones to my phone, or i have a bluetooth adapter, will that work.
Also what is the process

I am not overjoyed with the 8100. Howvever, I was wondering wether anyone could tell me how the ringer volume on the 9800 is. I have heard that it isn't that good because the speakers are on the inside.

I am looking for a high quality speaker phone that can text, take picture, light browsing (find restaurant, get direction, movie times, etc), and listening to music. I am seriously considering getting this phone, but am a little confused after reading the reviews. Please help:
1. Camera picture quality.
I need a phone with a reasonable camera that I can take casual pictures of people and put on websites. The resolution of this phone seems perfect and the flash is unique. However, I see that people complaining about the pictures always dark, etc. Is it really that bad?

2. Camera picture downloading.
can I easily download pictures to my computer to edit without paying VZ for every picture?

If this has been posted, I'm sorry. I have looked but couldn't find a definite answer. I'm a 8100 user, but am checking for a friend as to whether the 9800 will be updated to use the VCast Music? I did see their is a V02 software upgrade, but didn't see mention of it being a M.O.D. upgrade.

Seems like the battery life on vx9800 sucks. My battery is dying in less than 24hrs. I charged the battery 24 hours the first time I got it and let run out of die out completely. Last night I charged it at 730pm and didn't use the phone at all. I woke this morning at 10am and the battery meter is at half. How much battery life is everyone is getting?

I want as many peoples opinions as posible. Here is the question.

I am not eligibly fo my New Every Two until May 31. I want the 9800. There is no ther phone I want. I have a fully operational VX-7000. I could upgrade and get the phone for $199 now, or wait till May 31 and hope to get it for $299-100-100=$99.

Under these circumstances, what would you do?

I've been able to do some limited internet browsing with this phone. I have some friends who use another carrier (Sprint) who were able to download the Opera Mini browser and use it on their phones. I've tried to download this same program, no such luck. Anyone else have any experiences with trying to get a similar application to work? Any feedback is much appreciated. 😁

It will be interesting to see what kind of response I get from Verizon and some of the Verizon workers on this site. I e-mailed Customer Service requesting that I be allowed to upgrade early and still get my New Every Two. I told them that I had no problem with adding two years to the end of my current contract. I should probably hear back from them on Monday. It should be interesting to see what their response is. 😁

I asked this before, but keep finding conflicting information. As I understand it, this phone does not have Ringer ID. Am I right?

Also, does that mean that you cannot assign ringtones to individual contacts?

Hey guys, now that I got the phone, I was wondering.... is there a way to make the indicator light just flash when the phone is idle.

Just in case, I am talking about the light on the upper left side of the phone that blinks when an incoming call is coming in.

I have had other phones that allow you to turn that on or off... I want to turn it on...

When I go to my sounds and hit record new to try to do a voice recording, it tells me the phone memory is full. I checked the status of phone memory and it's not full, lots of free space and I also tried deleting some sounds.
Please HELP!

Tried to watch a V cast just now and couldn't hear anything I was watching. I made sure the volume was up and it was. I then tried to call the phone from a landline and it would not ring. It just lit up and showed my house number on the caller id screen. I called Customer Service and they said I would need to take it to a store. Before I hung up I asked them if they could reset the phone and she then asked me to take the battery off then put it back on. After that, the ringtone and audio mysteriously came back. Has this happened to anyone? I was thinking I might have switched something to off but like I said everything was working fine as of last night. So not sure what happened that it would not ring or play audio from V casts.

Can anyone tell me if the vx-9800 will allow for attachments to be open in Yahoo or G-mail or is something like that limited to Blackberry devices?
