LG V VX-9800

Have LG VX9800 3 weeks. Formated mini SD. Placed card in reader. brought up folders went into My MP3 folder. try to drag, copy, etc mp3 to card and get Error The device is not ready!

Some times says parameters are incorrect.

I'm a verizon customer and I've call their
customer service and seems nobody knows what to do. Here's my problem, when I retrieved
my voice mail it would ask my password, after I
put my password number there will be a recording that says "at the tone pls. record
your name and the time of the day". I never
have this problem before. Anybody with similar problem? How do I get rid of this recording.
Before after I put my password it would go straight to the message.

I know online on the verizon website you can get this phone for $200 with a 2 year contract or $250 with a 1 year contract...(both are with an instant $100 online rebate).

If I go to Verizon tomorrow and buy this phone, how much am I going to be expected to pay for this for a one year contract?

I am currently a verizon customer (I have been for about 10 years now) so this is simply an upgrade... I am ready to rid myself of the v710 that I purchased about a year and a half ago!

I just got my phone yesterday and I am already thinking about sending it back within the 15 day period. I don't understand why they pack so many features onto this phone and then tell you if you want to use certain features it will take away from your monthly airtime!

They said surfing the web (mobile web 2.0) deducts from your airtime and even playing games deducts from your airtime!

I am coming from Nextel where I had unlimited internet and could play games forever and it didnt affect my minutes for the month. This is nuts. I figured I would get more minutes than I did with Nextel because with Nextel all incoming calls are free. But geeez, if I knew that half the stuff I wanted to use the "V" for was going to take away from my 900 ...

From what I can find, the 9800 became available in stores around October 1. I am not able to use my New Every Two until June 1. Do we think that it is feasible that the 9800 will still be available?

Wonderful. I was working today and my phone fell off the construction I was working on. I have the VX-7000. Since it is discontinued, I would be surprised if they had any refurbished ones. I hate to have to pay retail when I am just about 3.5 months away from being eligible for New Every Two.

does anyone know of a free program that can convert movies to 3ga format or whatever format this phone reads. need one that can converts files that are about 128mb and up. 🙂

i am trying to find a website that will allow me to send pictures and videos to my phone. i try vzwpix.com but it can be a problem sometimes i also used funformobile.com but for reason it does not work on the v for some reason.

My husband's flip screen is broken. I bought his phone as a Christmas gift for him so it's only a few months old but I didn't have the option of getting him insurance. What can we do? I have insurance on mine though. We were thinking of trying to add insurance on his or trying to switch the part on our phones.

I have had this phone for a little over 1 week and I absolutely love it. But, today I noticed a little bit of a problem. On the extreme right side of the inner screen, I noticed a yellow/brown tint to the screen when it is supposed to be white. It kind of reminds me of when you get a speaker too close to a CRT TV and the picture gets tinted on that side of the screen closest to the picture.

Does anyone else have this problem? Could it be due to the speaker being right next to the screen (I didn't think this affected LCD displays as it does CRT displays)? Should I have VZW swap it out or is this normal?

I have a good amount of Itunes downloaded and ripped stuff from Itunes also along with some other files I have ripped with Musicmatch Jukebox and when I try to put these said files on my MiniSD card it continuosly says "No songs found on Memeory card" Now I've formated my card, have had working songs on the card before from older MP3's on my computer, but for some reason I just can't get the newer Itunes and Musicmatch songs to play on my MiniSD card. What I don't get is that they are all .mp3. Is there something I am doing wrong or should I be using another program or what. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When ever i charge this phone for the day or watever reason. The front screen or the main screen, smaller backlight is ALWAYS on. Is there a way to turn it off?

I just got a memory cardfor the phone and im tryin to put some vids on it...what format do they need to be in?

I just got the LG 9800 for Verizon. I just took it home, updated the roaming and programming, and well, frankly, it's terrible. It CONSTANTLY restarts itself during phone convorsations (yes, I fully charged it). I will be talking, sometimes for no joke, 1 second, sometimes for 3 minutes, and all of a sudden the phone "reboots" kind of. (The power seems to go out and the black screen with the Verizon logo shows up, then it goes back to the main menu.

The thing that aggrivates me is it seems like it's WAY more often when I am talking than anything else. After about an hour of playing with the phone in the camera mode and once just idle it restarted, but EVERY time I use it to talk it restarts. I figured the phone was just lame and restarted...

Okay, i know these questions are going to sound repetative, but since this forum has postings from all the back to october 2005. i am not too sure how updated the information is, so i will ask again, just to make sure.

I JUSt got the LG VX9800 (with rebates only $100) nice eh? Anyways, here are the questions:

1. How do i check what version i have? I hear the updated version can't play mp3s?
2. Do i need to buy a set of earphones to listen to the mp3 player personally? Which type of earbuds do i need? 2.5mm?
3. Which miniSD card is perferred for this phone? Is there a recommendation and/or a link?
4. Is there a recommended Data Cable i should get for this phone. I want to load my own mp3s on this.
