Motorola RAZR V3c

I have the Moto RAZR V3c with US Cellular. It displays the Motorola 'M' symbol on the external display when the phone is flipped open. Is there a way to change this image? I can connect to my computer via bluetooth to transfer files. I have ordered Mobile Phone Tools but don't have it yet.

I think everyone would enjoy having this a lot. People like me don't exactly know how to send things to their phone, and i don't know what format the sound file needs to be etc.....so could someone who owns a razr write a tutorial on how to send ringtones to ur phone, that would be great! Thanks

I use the 'auto lock' feature which requires a code to unlock the phone when turned on. The other day I added a greeting (Settings&Tools/Display/Greeting) and noticed when I turned my phone on and closed the flip, it powered up and my greeting showed on the outside screen but it skipped having to enter an unlock code.
When I power it up with the flip open my greeting shows on the inside screen and then it asks for my unlock code. Odd??? Anyone else try this out?

I have been reading through the forum here and I have the following comment (for what its worth). I guess it is important to hear if people have a problem with the razr so those of us who have the same problems can see if it is just isolated or a common problem, but it seems that people keep harping on the problems. I would assume that they just turn the phone in (if they are under 15 days) and then get a different phone and go on to those forums (that does not seem to be the case with many). I also find it interesting that many people have changed to the razr from the E815 or the 8100 or other phones that are not very old, which I guess I don't understand for many reasons. I'm not getting any pix messages. Any advice?

When I switch to vibrate mode it works fine for normal calls, but when someone calls me who I have a specific ringtone set for it still rings. Isnt the vibrate supposed to override that and just vibe? If not how do I make it vibrate when I dont want it to ring out loud? Becuase Im sure not gonna go in to each individual contact and change the ringtone to a vibe when I want it temporarily quiet.

where can I get mobile phonetools without buying it? all of the free download links Ive seen seem to have expired, any ideas?

In the market & was wondering if it's possible to answer the phone with a bluetooth headset without opening it. Never used a bluetooth phone sans adapter before. I heard something about being able to use the speakerphone with it closed...ditto on bluetooth?

I cant figure this out but I have to have this feature. I have way to loud of a car stereo and will never hear it unless it vibrates. Reading the instruction book is not a help at all (page 41 40 and 5😎. I have ringtones on it (using obex yipeeeee) and i can even put a ringtone to each name if I have to been playing with this for over hour and starting to get mad lol. Any input from anyone who has gotten it to work vib and high ring plzzz let me know.

so i bought the phone this morning at a verizon store in southern wisconsin. Cool phone, but I am having a few problems

1. Itap=God i miss regular T9 already. does anyone know if there is some sort of "next" to shift words? For instance, when I try to type "no", "on" pops up and I don't know how to get another word...HELP IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS!!

2. Slight lag between menus, I'm coming off of an LG 8000 where the menus were crisps and sharp.

3. Speakerphone is good, but no where near my 8000.

--Right now, i like it, but I am already thinking of taking it back, mainly due to the text messenging issue mentioned above.

IF anyone has any questions, please ask, ill be around my PC this afternoon

Does anybody have experience using the RAZR and the E815 in exactly the same places so that you can compare the number of bars? I find that my V710 is slightly better than the RAZR (this is definitely not because of the analog band), but I don't think it's the extendable antenna (which has at best a very slight effect.) I have heard the E815 is better than both by a fair margin. That seems a bit unlikely, but anybody know for sure?

Did you know how when you make a phone call on the exterior screen it says Verizon, T, or The cingular logo. I was wondering when I see the stars on the phone it has the Motorola M , What service do they have? The star I was wondering has the V3 GSM version. But what service does she have when it only says the "M" on the outside?

Alright so I have already been through quite a few phones in a short time, but each new one seems to have more problems. Went through two e815's before they finally let me trade to the Razr. My first Razr had a huge scratch on the screen and the battery would go dead in a day. Traded it in and now the side buttons on the new one ratttle a little bit. Its not that bad but the first one didn't do it. Would you just let it be or take it back for another one?

does the battery from gsm razr fits cdma V3C rzr?
Because gsm razer has 6.5 hours talk time instead of cdma razr 3.33 hours talk time

Hi guys~ I just got my razr yesterday and wanted to ask you some questions that I have.

I read lots of posts and installed the MPT and the driver, but for some reason, the phone does not even connect to the pc.

Is it the driver or is my phone blocked?

The steps that I took was: I installing driver and the MPT(with fully updates to ver3.2😎 I plugged in my razr with a USB cable that came with my MP3 player. When I plug it in, a sound comes out of the razr and says "Unauthorized Charger" and when I press "OK" nothing happens. I think it just charges the phone.

I am not sure what's wrong with this and I need lots of help on this.

Is there going to be a black razr for verizon?

OK, After reading posts here and at Howard Forums I am oulining how to get MPT to work on the razr v3c. I Have Windows XP Professional.
First: The verizon v3c is NOT supported with version 3.28 of MPT. BVRP the makers of MPT state this in their support forum. They state that it will be 'somewhat' supported in version 4.xx of MPT but will still not support Multimedia Center because verizon has disabled this feature (I wonder why?).
So here is how to still get it to work.
1. Download and install BVRP's Driver Tool.

2. Install MPT version 3.28 (If you have an earlier version run live update - I had 3.23 and had to run it twice to update it first to 3.25b and then again to 3.2😎
