Motorola Q

I have been a treo 650 user and still learning the Win system on the Q. Is there a way to delete 'all' emails or do you ahev to do each one individually?

I don't understand what the big fuss over this phone is about and for heaven sakes I don't understand why ppl are surprised their Motorola Q's are bad and or defective.

First of all, let me just say I own a Motorola e815. Probably one of the best out there. To me reception wise ONLY! I own many Motorola phones in my life and to be honest the only one that worked the best was the Startac.

Nothing in the modern age we are living in now can compare to that phone. All Motorola phones have excellent reception. The most from my experience do. All Motorola phones tend to freeze. What is up with that? They all lag. Don't let me start on the RAZR for crying out loud. That is the King of lag.

You know, It would be great for those of us that cannot carry a camera at our workplace to be able to FIND ONE. It really sucks that nobody sells decent phones without cameras. Right now I am stuck with the crappy Smsung I600 with the worst SW EVER.

Has anybody heard of the Q coming out with a camera free version?

I dunno if I'm the only one or maybe its the phone i got.. but I sure got the worst signal strength ever! My old LG VX 6000 would get me 4 towers at least, and I left that phone cuz I kept getting drop calls. But this is a joke, all I have is 1 or 0 bars max anywhere I'm my room! The most important place of all cuz my pc is here and study room and everything! So is it just me?!? I don't get how I can go to having reception to none! My brother has Spring the A900 and he gets signal! What the?!?!
I really like this phone, it is a bit laggy when I play with it, like maybe I'm too fast for it and it takes a bit to load stuff.
So I'm just wondering is it my phone or is this happening with anyone else?!?

For those having trouble Here is how I did it

I just called customer sales at 800-256-4646. Wait on hold forever but when you get some one - if they can't help you ask for extension 5615. This guy will get it done. (I got lucky and found someone competent over there.)

Just upgraded to the Q from my 650. Is there a way to make the Q auto send after you write an e-mail. It sucks to have to go hit send/recieve after every e-mail and make sure it goes out of your outbox.

I just read in the Active Sync Help that "ActiveSync does not support synchronizing Contacts or Calendar subfolders."

Anyone know if there is way around this? Or any other software to use?

When inserting your miniSD card- hold it opposite to the way shown in the user's manual.

The users manual shows the notches on the miniSD card facing downward - but I am pretty sure they faced upward when I inserted it.

I got it from FedEx about an hour ago, and here's what I know:

The size of the Q is the first thing that stood out. It is very unobtrusive, if not downright tiny, for the type of device it is. I have the v710, and the Q feels no more cumbersome in my shirt or pants pocket the the v710.

The thing looks GREAT. A coworker came by my office and even though my desk is covered in files she saw it right away and said "what the heck is THAT!" She is ordering one as we speak.

The screen on mine looks wonderful. I read a post from someone who had complaints about the screen. His must be defective. Mine looks even better than I had hoped.

Does anyone else's Q show these 2 items in the task manager, often, if not constantly?

I just bought a case that was specially designed for the Motorola Q BY MOTOROLA. It has magnetic flap and the Q slides right in and has a belt clip with a tight grip but it does not swivel around. I bought it through Best Buy Online and picked it up at my local store. It was $32.31 after tax ($29.99 before TAX) Here's the link: 🙂

I emailed them and the rep said they're designing new cases but the delay is due to overwhelming CUSTOM orders which could be done for the Q as well by providing the exact dimensions but due to its QWERTY keyboard i dont want to take any chances so i am just going to wait till they come out with one for the Q specifically and i also have ...

After trying to setup a Pop3 Account, I learned from my admin that we support ActiveSync.

I'm still receiving POP3 alerts, but would like to delete this off my phone entirely, but for the life of me can't figure out how to do it!

I set up the POP3 e-mail with my godaddy.com account - works GREAT!

However, I don't see any option on the phone to "LEAVE MESSAGES ON SERVER".

Does anybody know how to do this, so I can download the messages again to my home Outlook later?

Does the Q have a motorola interface or that vzw interface? I really do not care for the vzw interface so that is why I am curious because it would truly make my decision of whether i would get it or not...

I'm trying to setup access to my email account and when following the manuals directions I'm getting stuck. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Manual says:
1. Press start>Messag>Outlook Email - No Problem

2. Select menu>Options>New Account - No Problem

3. Enter Email Address, etc. - No Problem

4. After entering email address it tells me to select the "NEXT" button/menu, but this is where I'm stuck... At the bottom of the screen there's a "CANCEL" choice highlighted and a "NEXT" choice, but it's NOT highlighted and you can't select it, so I'm literally stuck at this point.

I'm scrolled through all the fields, I've tried hitting the mouse and every other button I can think of to advance, but to no avail.

Can someone ...

On Moto's Q website they have IM listed as one of the Messaging Features, does anyone know how/where to access this?
