Same echo subject- new thoughts

I have heard all this talk about echo probs, with numerous headsets, but no one seems to have tried the lg bluetooth headset, or says anything about call environment or service location (i.e. east coast, west coast, city, burbs etc.), or signal strength of call. I have a Moto H500 (supposedly not compatible with vx8300 and I have no such problem as far as I can tell, from those I have asked. I'm in Corvallis, Oregon which is about 90 miles south of Portland, population 55,000. It's an open valley floor with hills to the east and west. Let the good times roll!!! 😎

Again...Bluetooth Trouble with Verizon LG VX8300

Hi All -- I recently re-upped my plan with Verizon and got the new LG VX8300. The phone has executed flawlessly, with exception to the Bluetooth. I've tried three headsets with the phone (Motorola H700 and H500, as well as a Plantronics 640) and all have had subpar performance. Typically, I can hear fine, but the person on the other end hears an echo or my voice is faint. Once I get about 10-plus feet from my handset, the reception really drops on both ends.

What should I do?

VX8100 Phone / Bluetooth Headset HS850~ Echo Static Problem

Hi,

I am Brand spankin' new to the whole cell phone bluetooth thing....

I have a Verizon wireless LG VX8100 cell phone.

Plus a:

Bluetooth Headset HS850

Earlier today, I could hear everything clear. But the person I was talking to heard an echo on their side on the phone.....

I read here about turning the phone down. I did that.... the echo kept up and a new problem started....

Now we both hear "static" and the other person is still hearing an echo....

Even with the headset turned down.

What do I do now? Can I return this headset because it doesn't work? Will verizon be willing the change phones to one that actually works correctly with Bluetooth? How can I do those things?

Or am I just screwed?

Thank You,
...

Stereo headset that's NOT bluetooth

Greetings all,

I note that Verizon is making a big push for VCast and telling us what great music players phones like the 8300 and the Razr3m are.

However, I also note that the 8300's jack is 2.5mm while all the headphones I own are 3.5mm (or 1/4" for my older ones).

Verizon wants to sell me a $14.95 adapter so I can use my own headphones. It includes a microphone and a button to take calls. I've looked on line but haven't found just a simple adapter that would let me just use the headphones.

Surprisingly, they have one in their store on one of the display phones. It's about a three inch cord with their logo on it. I asked about buying one and was told that it was only for their display model and Verizon doesn't offer it for s...

Bluetooth Problems!

When is everybody going to learn that VZW does not give a s**t about our complaints. I's a damn software problem and has always been. They make no $$ by correcting this. I never had a problem with the BT till v04. It took them till v07 on the 8100 to correct the volume problem and my camera still has a delay. Do you really think thay care. They have lost several class action suits over the past few years, but yet they still f**k with the phones. What does that tell you. Ask around and see if other people using Cingular, T-Mobile, Sprint have this problem. I have started doing so and found most people are not using VZW and don't have this problem. All phones have quirks and are locked to a certain degree, but nobody as bad as VZW. Wake up, pe...

Can you hear yourself breathing in the earpiece?

Just wondering if mine is unusual or not. What an awesome phone otherwise.

When I am speaking on the phone I can my myself inhale or exhale between words. No I'm not a heavy breather. 😲

I know this sounds really funny but it is a bit irritating hearing these short little gasps of air/static between words.

Micro disk problem...can anyone help?

Have had my 8300 for 2 weeks and have purchased an SanDisk 1gig microSD card and am having problems.

When I place it in my laptop card reader, I get 3 monotone beeps from the computer and it will not show up anywhere. When I take it out of the computer, it gives you the normal removal beep.

The phone recognizes the card and has been formated.

I am dieing to get some music on the phone...can anyone help me here?

Anybody have their phone just dial the last number again for no reason?

I have auto redial off.

But yet last night at a party my phone automatically called my husband's friend's phone 4 times when we were all sitting at the table talking. (his number was last dialed).

This morning it called him again at 7:20 AM when I was in a meeting and not even around my phone.

Strange but I can't keep calling my husband's good friend.

Weird feedback on speakerphone (vx8300)

Has anyone noticed an odd, high-pitched feedback when operating the phone (going through contacts or other menus) or using the phone (listening to other party)? It is difficult to describe, but it is not very loud and it sounds almost like a whining fan belt on a car. I've noticed it on mine as well as on my girlfriend's. Is this common? What might be causing this?
