Silly Question?
Hey folks, new to the forum and the phone and I have one goofy question. I was looking in the manual and noticed that it says not to use the phone while it is charging. I've always used my Sammies while charging and never had a problem. The manual states that there is a possibility of shorting the phone out or starting a fire. Anyone run into this or have any input?

Has anyone experienced this?
Sometimes when I am listening to music with headphones, the music just stops as if i had pressed end or something, but I am pretty positive I did not touch any buttons because the phone is in my pocket. It happend to me again today about 3 4 times every cuple minutes then it just worked fine. Also out of no where while listening to music the phone just started calling people. It is very annoying having the music stop and also call random people.

get the 8300 or stick with my 9800??
I just wanted everyone's opinion. Should I stay with my 9800 or should I get the 8300? I would still keep my 9800, I'm just a little bored with it now. I love electronics so I get bored quickly. I also saw the new 8500 only phonearena.com. I don't know what to do, my early upgrade is approaching very quickly so I would like to know what you 8300 users think!!

Clarity
I just started using the LG 8300 last week. I hear an echo sound on many of my calls and if the phone is moved slightly away from my ear (1/2 inch) the volume drops drastically. Does anyone else have this problem?

BT connection
On my old Sam 950 my headset would only become active if I made a call. On the 8300 everytime I open the press a button after the headset the BT headset starts making noises. I did turn of the key pad volume but I can get rid of the "connect" noise of the headset. Any help????

Love the 8300, but is this a software issue?????
I'm a verizon wireless cust care rep, and have had this phone for about 3 days...I dig it alot considering I gave up my Audiovox 9900 after almost 2 years for it...
Everything is great, except that I noticed...when I take a picture from the outside display with the phone closed...the picture comes up a reverse image!! Anything with letters or words shows up backwards...
Also when plugging the phone into charge, there is no light display, like a red or green light or anything to signify the phone is plugged in to be charged...
Pretty much everything is great...except my biggest gripe is the loss of my countdown timer from the 9900 and loss of my 9 shortcuts keys...oh, and the super extra crisp clear screen resolution...man I miss my ...

CONFIRMED A2DP/AVRC on VX8300 w/ Motorola HT820 Headphones
I received a set of Motorola HT820's today from eBay, total $75.18 BRAND NEW.
Once you enable the MP3 player on the 8300, load up the microSD with mp3's it's like heaven. I charged up the headphones for about 20 minutes, listened to about 3 songs before they died on me. I have to let them charge for at least 2 hours before I can get the full use out of them. I did verify they work however. When The get charged, i'll take pictures and update more.
The headphones do however ONLY work with mp3's, not MOD. All the advanced features on the headphones do work, fast forward, skip, rewind. You can also make and receive calls as well.
The phone has a nice little image on the external screen and internal screen when listening to mp3's through...

4x digital zoom on VX8300?
I've seen a number or reviews/articles on the 8300 that state it has a 4x digital zoom. If this is a zoom that is supposed to be available when taking a photograph, I can't figure out how to activate it. Anyone?

Verizon arm band pouch- is there something better?
Hello,
I bought the arm band pouch (if you look under 8300 accessories you can see what I'm talking about) so that I can listen to music while at the gym. It's well made but it does not have any opening for the lg vx8300's music buttons (play, pause, etc..) that are on the front of the phone. I can make it work, but I was just wondering if there is anything out there that is better?
Thanks!
Has anyone noticed........
that you have the option to have the front screen on, or off, when using either the still camera or the video camera?
I discovered this early on while playing with the phone, but haven't seen it mentioned here at all. I used to get frustrated with my 8100, because when I was taking a picture of someone, they would see the shot "taken" in the front display, then they would move, but because of the camera delay the shot would be ruined. The delay isn't a problem with the 8300, but I still like it that you can have the front display off.
Okay, it's raining out, I'm bored, and just wanted to start a new thread.
wall paper
can anyone that has this phone tell me if the wallpaper with the beach and mountains in the background(that is on the 8100) is available on this phone? thankss

please help..decision to make bt/wn Razr v3m and 8300
I would love some input on which is a better phone choice here...
I have the LG VX-7000 that finally gave way to my beatings after 2 years. My phone serves as both a professional and personal phone.
I must have a good speaker phone and excellent call quality. I like the slim and light RAZR, but have not heard great things...
As for the LG I have been very happy with the performance of my 7000 and expect the same from the 8300.
Please advise...
