Can anyone tell me what type of video you can put on the lg8300. Or is there any web site to get them. Or can you put your own on? I have a 1 gig memory card and would be fun to do.

BitPim Warning as 8300 phone death results
Anxious to play with the 8300 as I did the 7000, I filed down my USB cable and connected it to BitPIM. So far so good, phone recognized (a little downward pressure needed as the cable filing wasn't perfect.) I was able to copy pics/music/rings. At some point I filled up the phone with junk. I start to erase a lot of stuff both via the phone and through BITpim and uh-oh, my memory on the phone still reads 100%. No matter how much I erase, it's stuck there. Now I can't get the computer to recognize the phone any more. I tried a reset (under security) and when it reboots, no changes occurred except it seems that my sound, theme and wallpaper preferences have been reset to factory. All my remaining data is still there. It sounds like th...

Just wondering...
Has anyone else had problems accessing their MP3's from the front buttons? A friend of mine has the 8300 and when he holds down on the play button it just says "no songs found". We know that there are MP3's on the card because we can access them thru the menus.
Could he possibly have a bum phone? Or does the 8300 not have this feature?

Signal strength different on 2 phones
My wife and I just got 2 8300s to replace our 3200s. We live in a strong signal area and our 3200s always got the maximum number of signal bars. With the 8300s, my wife's phone still gets 4 bars at our house, but mine consistantly only gets 2 bars. We spend a lot of time at a campground where there is a weak signal and I am concerned that I will not be able to get a connection with my phone. We will not be there for another week or 2. Does this difference in signal strength seem strange and should I return my phone for a replacement?

8300 and Mac
Anybody using a Mac to make and send ringtones?
I've tried converting MP3s from iTunes to AIFF and importing them to Garageband. Once there I cut them down to less than 30 seconds and then send them back to iTunes, convert them back to MP3, and then send them as an attachment to my phone.
It works, but the sound is pretty bad.
Suggestions?
Any other Mac related help for the 8300 would be good, too.
Thanks!

Battery for music playback&speakerphone use questions
How does playing/listening to MP3 songs from the 8300 affect the battery? Would it be the same effect as talking on the phone?
How about using the speakerphone? Does that use more battery? I can't tell from my own use so far.
I can't tell if I should trade this phone in (battery doesn't seem to last like my 6000) and get another 8300. I love all the features but I am reducing my use (e.g., the animated features, customized UI) because I have already recharged my phone 4 times in this period with normal use. I have been accustomed to having it on 24/7. My other 6100 battery was great for the two years but of course, no speakerphone, songs, etc.
I have reviewed the battery comments others have made and I am not sure how I sho...

Crackly reception, anyone?
I just got my new LG VX8300 phone from Verizon on Saturday. I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with crackly reception. My husband bought the Motorola e815 and he called me on my phone and the reception was pretty fuzzy. I called from my cell to our home phone and it was just as fuzzy. Has anyone else had this problem? Or could it just be that particular phone that I received?
Thank you! 🙂

Ringtone App for 8300
I have been told VZW Tones Deluxe or w/e its called is a good app for ringtones but i can't find it on this phone. Does anyone else know a good app where i can get real music ringtones? It doesn't need to be full length either, i just don't want it to be polyphonic or w/e its called.
