GPS

i know most sprint phones have A-GPS capability, which is mainly used for E911, but does sprint have a gps navigation feature like verizon "vz navigator" which uses A-GPS, not regular GPS.

does it work over a normal network or ev-do,

thanx in advance and that would be really great if sprint offered gps navigation capabilities on its cdma network, i know nextel has it.

Phones

Ok i have a question...

I have a cingular phone....my brother has spring with 3 additional lines. 1 line is in service but not being used. I want to use that line and port my number over, do i have to extend the contract on the phone to port my number over inplace of it if its already under contract?

Also....

I dont like the phone on the account. Where do you suggest i get another phone? I like the samsung slider, a800 and the Nokia 6165i. Not crazy about the larger sanyo phones. Any suggestions?

Sprint BizConn Push Email Service

When is Sprint ever going to get this service running reliably? It seems like it goes down at least once a week. IMO, Blackberry is much more reliable than Sprint's BizConn service. I have been in contact with the BizConn support department in the past when it stops working. The response I am always given is a change or update is causing a problem.

To Sprint: The BizConn service would work much more reliably if you would stop messing around with it all the time. At least keep a backup system running with the previous settings and/or system state to revert back to in case something goes foul during a change or update. It's called "redundancy."

Sprint Falling Apart from the Head

All I have to say is wow. Really? is it so bad that even COO's start packin' up thier crap. Yeah I know they didn't say he quit for any specific reason but "change in the company's organizational structure" smells a little like "We sh!t canned him". I just want to sit down and watch what happens next, who spills the beans about the reason why. I mean corporate exec's don't just get up and say "well its been good, what with my multi-million dollar bankroll but, screw it I quit" I wonder...mabey he ported to the Big Red V. 😲 😳 🤣 🤣 🤣

Looking to leave T-Mobile...Need Input about the Competitor Carriers

After staying for 4 long years with T-Mobile, I am finally willing to move to another carrier. As for the reasons why, please see my posting on this forum with the Subject Title, "Issues with T-Mobile PDA Support Group. Especially with the Blackberry 7105T!!!".

Now I know that most of you here will come back to me saying that, "it's a matter of what works for me best, go with them." Granted! So I've gone ahead and listed out some criterion that I am looking to measure against in my choice for next cell carrier. It just may turn that I may have to go back around the block once more because I've been with practically all the major carriers out there except VZW but I really do not intend to go there because they are very expensive in a lot o...

PPC-6700 $250 more than Verizon?!?!?!? WHY?

😡
I used to manage a couple of wireless stores so I have a little knowledge but why in the hell is basically the same phone (PPC-6700) $250 less from Verizon? I am a current Sprint customer, on the Nextel side, and I am thinking of upgrading my handset to the PPC-6700. I realize that my upgrade price may not be the new customer price but why is there such a “BIG” difference in price for pretty much the same phone? I have also priced the phone at Cingular and T-Mobile they are $250 and $200. What is the deal with Sprint?! Will Sprint work with me at all? There was no subsidized price in the beginning (approximately 1 year ago) since I walked into the store with an i860. I spend around $100 a month and I signed up at a Sprint direct store ...

"Additional PCS Service" What's available?

Does anyone know if this is a network built by Sprint themselves, it's supposed to be an additional digital service area, so I take it a Sprint phone would not say "roaming" if in one of these coverage areas.

According to the map legend at Sprint, you cannot get on Vision in one of those covered areas. Any more info, or maybe Sprint is in the process of putting CDMA into iDEN only service areas.

Thanks.
