Clamshell Windows type phone...

Can anyone tell me if they are aware of Sprint getting in the near future any type of Clamshell windows device. I currently have a Treo 650 and am getting tired of the size of the phone. However I love being able to sync with my Outlook Calendar and Contacts.

Help with a possible new phone and carrier

I currently am a verizon customer. My contract is up in September and I might be going to Sprint. I have a friend who has Sprint who lives in my area and he has great coverage.

The only problem that I have is that I dont know what phone is better than another. The choice is between the Blade, The Fusic, and the Katranna. I am leaning towards the Fusic but I've heard that it is only digital and it does not support analog. If this is true, should that influence my choice in a phone?

Does anyone have any advice towards a phone or know anything about the digital only that I've heard about the Fusic? Thanks

LG 535 - Charger Port Issue - Need Rep Advice/Help

Hi.

I have a LG 535.

I just noticed that the charger port at the bottom of the phone appears to be slightly diagonal (receded inside body of phone) and sometimes will have to plug in my charger multiple times for it begin charging.

What I would like to know is, should I even bother trying to take it to my local Sprint Corporate store? I have insurance, and ultimately would like them to remove the backing (which I would do if I had the tools) and reposition the charging port.

Would they be able to do this or would they have to send it off? I hope not, the problem is simple and it would be absurd if they did or encouraged me to file a claim.

Thanks.

STI mobile phone on Sprint Account

I want to use my STI mobile prepaid Samsung SPH-A660 on Sprint account. Why I can't use it?

STI Mobile is a MVNO of Sprint and it directly connected to sprint network. It also dial *2 direct to Sprint as other Sprint phone. I called Sprint, they refused to do it. It shows in Sprint system that the ESN number in in use with another account. I guess STI might have reserved a block of ESN with Srpint or something.

This was bought brand new about year ago.

Welcome back nextel,

I see you have come out of hiding. for someone who is always on the forefront of posting quarterly numbers you really steered away from this one, please enlighten all of us with your insight on what happened with sprextel. you do a great job of posting comments on how other carriers need to improve their service but have not mentioned what your company can do to bring themselves back together. rev a and Q-chat can't fix this one.

SpectrumCo LLC (Sprint, Cox, Comcast, TWX) progess in the AWS

Here we go for SpectrumCo LLC to enhance their spectrum portfolio even though it is quite strong with the JV that they struck with Sprint.

Their top provisionally winnings are;

Southeast $136,892,000

Central $88,655,000

West $247,032,000 (D Block)

West $315,905,000 ( E Block)

They are doing quite well and we will have to see if this continues going forward.

I know this is very lazy..but

I don't know which phone to choose from with Sprint. I'm not a very heavy user, and use a cell phone for quick calls, though I might be using it some more in the future.

I just want a phone that works, doesn't crack down, is reliable, has speakerphone, and nice call quality, and is clamshell. I'm not really into the whole camera thing because I already have a digi camera so.... 🙄

Anyways, I've looked and looked and don't know what to choose...I saw the Sanyo 2400, I thought it looked a bit too bulky, and that was about the only cell phone without a camera with an external display, which I'm also not sure to get or not.

Thanks!

Worst of The Week (RCR NEWS)

Worst of the Week: Sprint Nextel’s magic trick
By Dan Meyer
Aug 10, 2006
Fear not, Mike Dano-ranting fans, your leader has not disappeared, but is only resting so as to return stronger with your beloved ravings about all things wrong in wireless. In the meantime, I have been tapped by the all-powerful-foaming-from-the-mouth-one to handle this week’s edition of Worst of the Week.

While I’m sure some will point to a Mr. Plow vs. Plow King comparison between the two of us, let me point out that my contributions to this column should be a little more pleasant than Dano’s as I am more comfortable in the real world while Mike lives a quasi-Tron existence and usually only interacts through e-mail or text messaging, but mostly e-mail as text m...

Poor old Radio Shack. (they reported 2nd quarter earnings) Sprintel can't save them.

Is Cingular the only thing keeping Radio Shack alive? Obviously Verizon Wireless is ok without them but without Cingular Radio Shack would be dead in the water. Does the Shack even sell Boost or only Sprintel? After looking at the second quarter results from Sprintel it seems Radio Shack might want to reconsider it's options.

NEXTEL18!!!!

Hey pal,

Just wondering what the current customer count for Sprint/Nextel is right now, or at least the most current #s you've got.

I'd like to see #s w/ and w/o MVNO subs as well.

Thanks bud.

Porting my number

Ok so this is for sprint reps, this question is kind of complicated (or at least it was for sprint online help) and multi parted.

First,

My brother has 4 sprint phones, his primary line, and 3 add ons. One of the add on lines is not being used although it is activated with its own number, now here is my question:

1. Can i use this line and port my number from cingular to that line without extending that lines contract?

2. Can i buy a new phone on ebay and have it activated WITHOUT a new contract?

and 3. All of the phones on his plan are long distance to call from our home phones, but my numnber with cingular is not. When its ported, will it become long distance to call it from landlines like the rest of the phones on the plan?...

Rural signal- best phone?

Is there a "best" Sprint phone for signal strength? I live in rural northern Minnesota... Sprint actually offers some of the best cell phone service in the area (yes, that's how horrible cell service is here). My contract is up in a few days, so I'm shopping around for a new phone. Anyone know what's reputed to have strong signal? I had pretty good luck with my Sanyo 8100 before I lost it...
Also, anyone think buying a signal booster is worthwhile?
Thanks : )

Heres a weird issue.. sammy a920

I have loaded a few GIFs to my phone to use as screen savers (stewie doing the robot, XBOX 360 startup ring of light).. when I have one of those set, and I try to voice dial with my bluetooth headset, the phone freezes and then power cycles.

Anyone care to test this issue to confirm for me?

Contrasting Sanyo MM-5600 and Sanyo MM-9000...

I currently have a 5600 which has some really nice features to it. I was thinking of getting a 9000. What the differences between the two. Small or large detail, I don't care because sometimes that makes a big difference. Also, I keep reading of MP3 player controls on the outside. I haven't seen any but adjusting the volume for the side keys. Can you set of the side keys for play/pause and next track controls. Also, does the TALK key actually bring up the Redial list? If so then Finally. Please respond because I haven't go to play with a 9000 because they are so rare to find anymore. Also I keep hearing that the Sanyo 9000 will also take a 2 GB mini SD card. Wondering if that was true or if anybody has tried that yet. Well anyway, any help w...
