Blackberry 7130

Hi everyone! Just had a question about getting a blackberry: If I get it and the service, does sprint provide you with an email address? I work from home and do not have an exchange server laying around. Also, if they do give you an email address how long does an email take to come to the unit? Is it instant, or is there a delay? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks! 🙂

Katana Is Here!!!

My store finally got the Katana in stock yesterday. As soon as we got them...I sold the first one! Must admit, I was hoping it'd be a little better, but cannot complain for the price.

Dealing With The Wireless Industry. Pt. III: Out For Blood

👀 I have to be careful because with the lawsuits going around I have to be careful so I don't get sued. Seriously though those case is gonna get settled in no time at all. On to more interesting stuff, I recently ran across a post on another website where a customer said that all cell phone reps only care about making a sale and not the customer.

This stuck a cord with me, being a independent agent myself, and hearing this made me mad but also had me thinking is there any truth to what this guy is saying. I enjoy making my customers happy with their purchase even if its a small sale because I know they will come back or bring more business my way. Yet there are a few bad apples in the bunch.

So this question is for all the ag...

Ready-Link Service

Does anyone know how fast there Sprint's Ready-Link service is? I have tried Verizon's and theres is a little bit too slow for me. I have always used nextel for the ptt only and it is really fast, but their coverage is a problem for me. So how is compared to Verizon or Nextel???

Ringing length...

i just called up sprint because i wanted my phone to ring longer since somethimes i am unable to get to it. The first guy i got tryed and tryed and said he couldnt find where to add seconds onto a ringer, so he transfered me to some guy who acted like i was a pain in his ass and said "no there is a default ring length for all phones" ...
well this question goes out to all sprint techies, is that true? and if so why did the first guy i talked to say "its usually in the same spot (meaning in their user guide he said) for all the phone models but he couldnt find it, so obviosuly they must be able to do it if he sent me to another tech guy to do it.

also, when i had nextel i added ring seconds onto my account before...

hope someone out t...

Giving A Little Recognition To Reps.

🙂 This post is for all the people who actually do a good job helping their customers and making a good example for their company. There is too much bashing going around these forums and everyone seems to want to blame the reps like we have control over any carrier's policies.

I wanted to take some time to give some props for my follow reps caught in the middle taking crap from both sides of the job they do. Sometimes not every customer is a pleasure to help and your bosses can give you stress disorders but hopefully you just one drink away from peace. 😉

Have a Great Day!

need advice

I am not do for a phone rebate for quite some time. I want to buy the Katana and it is very expensive, however, on ebay I can save some dollars. I have been a committed Sprint customer for six years and wanted to know if anyone can direct me who to speak with at Sprint besides a customer service supervisor where they may make an exception and give me the $150.00 rebate without the 2 year renewal sign up. I have had many problems wiith Samsung phones over the past six years and wanted to go with Sanyo. I am asking for this $150.00 off for two reasons-
1-a loyal customer for six years
2- a history of phone problems with the Samsung brand

All responses are appreciated.

Thanks

Does sprint have an unlimited minutes plan?

I "chatted" with an online rep through the web site and they said i would have to call or go to the store, but yes there is an unlimited plan. Anyone know if this is true and what the rate(s) are? Thanks

using QJAE location API for Samsung A920

Hi
I`m trying to use the QJAE location API for the smasung A920 but I don`t get inforamtion for velocity from the GPS at all. Is there a problem with using this API with this device or should I use a specific protocol for it (currently I'm trying the GPS parameters that work with sanyo 8300,7500,9000).
Thanks

Tough questions for the Experts...

Lets say I had the Free incoming calls plan that is only free when in the Sprint PCS coverage zone, obviously meaning not during roaming... What happens if I recieve a call while on Sprint's area but during the phone call is switches to roaming... Will I then be charged minutes?

Upload my own mp3 for ringtones?

I just got my first cell, a samsung pm A840. I have the free vision package for a month and I would like to get started on replacing the factory ring tones while im not paying for data. Im a musician and have some of my own mp3s on my pc. I have a domain online but if i try to visit my website with the phone it says there is possably an error with the web site.
Im just wondering if I should be able to upload mp3 to web site, download with phone, and use as ring tone.
Is there any html code i should avoid using so my site is viewable with the cell?

Sprint's roaming policy

What is the straight skinny on Sprint's roaming?

We are considering getting 2 phones on the F&F plan, which what our relatives have down state. My question is about roaming as this always seems to be the sore spot with cell phones. We gave up on cells after having Cellular One several years ago because roaming was killing us.

Although we live in a Sprint service area (Sprint phones do work here), it is rural and out of the Sprint tower network, so it's important we know:
1. Will we use our minutes when talking:
a. mobile-to-mobile in roaming?
b. after 7 in roaming?
c. does in-calling plan include in roaming?

2. I scoured the Sprint website user agreement, but to be honest am still a bit confused.
a. what is the 50% minimum usa...
